May the 4’s be with you
Oops, I just put one up thinking you’d be sleeping in. Want me to delete it?
Sorry. I put up the diary and then went to eat breakfast.
I may not have slept in but I’m slow-moving.
Yours is prettier!
Good Morning I think.
Good morning, FM. How are you feeling today? Didn’t see you yesterday.
Hi SN yes I am. Not as sleepy.
How are you today?
I’m feeling energetic and happy. The happy pills are amazing. Makes me wonder what I’ve been missing all these years.
Glad to hear your so happy today. 🙂
What are you up to today? Our weather has been chilly and we’ve gotten some much needed rain. We rented an aerator and did the lawn and put down some weed and feed last weekend, so it’s finally starting to green up like our neighbors.
I hate living here where I feel like everyone is clucking their tongues at the sorry state of my lawn. But we’re about the only ones who don’t have a lawn service coming once a week.
You aren’t the only one about the lawn service. I’ve got a next door neighbor that his lawn is his life. I felt really good when I finally got mine done and his still had pine cones and leaves on it. I found out he was on vacation. Otherwise I would have been the last on the street to be done with it.
I’ve gotten to the point where I get to it when I can. Of course when people drive by and start pointing, that give me a little initiative. 🙂
Perfect timing — the Boston Globe has a review of American Green: The Obsessive Quest for the Perfect Lawn by Ted Steinberg. Excerpt (to make you both feel better):
The pefect reason I should let my lawn grow. 🙂
That does make me feel better. My kids think I’m weird because I make them wear hard shoes and big sunglasses when they mow the yard. And I feel guilty for putting weed and feed on the lawn, but I only do it once in the spring and once in the fall. I never did it till we moved to this subdivision and I fell for the pressure of being compared to my neighbors. Maybe I should just let the pine needles and pine cones take over and tell everyone it’s natural groundcover.
I like that idea.
I hear you’ve been having a bad week. I hope you are feeling better today.
Hi Andi, I’m so happy to see you and Jim back. I’m doing fine now, thanks for asking.
doesn’t get a vacation that lasts forever and has to go back to work. Amazingly, I know exactly how She feels.
Morning everybody.
Big letdown today…or are you glad to be home?
I’m basically a homebody so I’m always happy to be home. It’s going back to work that’s the problem.
It must be hard to shift gears. Do you have a lot of catching up to do?
I haven’t looked at the email yet because I don’t want to know what happened while I was gone. I’m working on thinking about looking at it.
Baby steps, Andi. 🙂
Welcome back…I’d leave the email till Monday, but that’s just me.
What CG said. You’re still on vacation until Monday.
Morning CG.
Morbid curiosity will probably make me take a peek at some point today.
Go to any good concerts while I was gone?
Nope. Just CBtY’s lacrosse scrimmage at Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania yesterday. Which was pretty cool (little kids, big stadium), even though he was half asleep for the first part of it and the weather was less than stellar. 🙂
The Cowboy Junkies are coming to the Blob movie theater in a couple of weeks, though. That should be fun.
I have to admit that the Cowboy Junkies sound a lot more appealing than the lacrosse match. I’ll be waiting for your concert review.
Welcome home, Andi! Sorry I missed the F-ing party last night, looks like fun was had by all. Glad you guys got home safely after all the weather out here. 🙂
Hi Indy! Yeah, the southwest weather did make hiking and driving on backcountry roads a little more challenging but by Thursday and Friday it got warm enough that we were able to hike part of the day in shorts.
How are things with you?
Can’t wait to see all the pictures, just like everyone else.
I’m freakin’ exhausted, thanks for asking, and still looking at 3 solid weeks of sorting/packing work. I’m so tired that the other day I was standing in the living room looking out the French doors at the snow, wondering if I could go out onto the patio with a Swiffer and manage to reach all the way down and wipe the snow off the car windshield just so I didn’t have to put on shoes and go downstairs to do it. 🙂
Don’t work too hard — you can always just get more boxes and shove stuff into them.
We took over 650 pictures so I think you probably don’t want to see them all. 🙂
Going to make the dogs very happy and go for a walk.
See ya later.
Hi folks!!!!!! Hope everyone is well. Welcome home Andi I missed you even if you did go to a nasty state I hate. LOL
It doesn’t count because there were no people where she was. And after all it’s the people, not the land that you hate, right?
no she was in the town that passed a rather nasty resolution but I love her anyway. LOL
I missed that. What town and what resolution?
Kanab, Utah- Bigotville, USA Cap
The info about the resolution is on my site click the image
I guess “natural families” are 8 wives and 57 offspring.
ROTFLMAO!!!!
Sorry refinish. I love you but I love the geology more.
But I figure I get some slack since you live in a state that makes my red state look positively liberal. 😉
Like I said I still luv ya!!!!
Morning Refinish. How was your political day, yesterday?
Morning!!!! It was great!!! I was elected to the resolutions comittee and stopped the bad resolutions and got some really great ones approved. I will also be a delegate at the state convention in June and have already booked my room!!!
I’m looking forward to seeing you in the crowd at the national Dem. convention in 08. I can’t wait to see what you’re wearing!
Trust me I will run to get elected as a national delegate in 08. I will be the texan in a rainbow shirt. LOL
That’s great.
Moving on up in the political stratosphere I see. 🙂
Trying and trying to get the party back where it needs to be.
Today will be a fun day also. I have to go buy a new cell phone ans mine over heats when I am talking on it. I also will be getting a new monitor for the desktop and buying a lap top today.
You’ve hit the big time.:)
LOL No I am just pushy and have a big mouth. LOL
Sometimes that’s the only way to be heard.
Did you rob a liquor store?
ROTFLMAO!!!! No the medical claim from last year finally closed out.
Jim will be so jealous — buying a shitload of new technology is his idea of nirvana (it would only be better if you were buying a new camera lens).
A camera is also on my list but I will wait a while on that.
Well Ya’ll enjoy. I’ve got to get ready and start breakfast around here.
I’ll check back in a while.
enjoy breakfast. I am taking myself out for breakfast before the shopping frenzy starts LOL
Mornin all, from not so sunny Cal, where it rained last night and is looking gloomy this morning….Looks like it will be raining when Shirl comes on Tues.
The cafe is slow now, so I will wait a bit to put up a new cafe, see you all in a bit.
