That pretty much sums it up for me as well. Pooped.
Workload has been unreasonably heavy for some time – not weeks, several months.
But have a look at the site meter – that may perk you up a bit!
And the increasing willingness of the MSM to cover the daily scandals, though still with a good portion of spin, puts some gas back in the tank.
Section 8 Inspection today. No biggie, Section 8 Agent just comes over and checks to see if any repairs to the place are needed. (leaking fauctets, clogged drains, crap like that) And of course tests the damn smoke alarm that wouldn’t stop buzzing for a few minutes. But, it eventually did, thank God! The noise hurt my head–tbi thing.
Worse part of this whole thing was washing the dishes–I hate it when someone comes over and I have a sink full of dirty dishes. But, they are clean now! (That usually only gets done when I am out of coffee cups–lol!)
Jeesh Booman…pooped? Can’t imagine way. You have uncovered major stories here today and then had to go back and lay it out for the dim lights like me over again…lol. Go get some rest my friend. Thanks for all your hard work and dedicaction to the site and the state of the nation. You ROCK!
thanks. But I blame myself for not doing it right the first time.
The most tiring thing about the Plame articles is doing all the timeline stuff so that folks can remember what was happening and when.
And I need to do it everytime. It just seemed like too much to pull out the quotes and put them side by side, too.
But, really, it is what needed to be done so that people could see how Miller looked at the NIE intel back on Labor Day 2002, as part of the White House Iraq Groups marketing plan for warmongering.
New here. Dailykos person. I was motivated to sign-up by BooMan’s diary about the importance of not just supporting Dailykos. Sounded right to me.
Does anyone have a thought on whether the Bush-Plame thing is going to be a big deal? Do you remember that Bush said anyone involved in the Plame thing would be Fired? This really should be a big deal. I’m confused why it’s not getting traction.
I think it is going to do more political damage and further weaken his credibility. I don’t think it will go much deeper than that, but the real issues will become apparent if and when Fitz moves on Rove or Cheney. The big issue is still the NSA, and this further erodes the administration’s argument that we should trust him to use intelligence responsibly.
“The fact that the president was willing to reveal classified information for political gain and put the interests of his political party ahead of Americas security shows that he can no longer be trusted to keep America safe,” Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said.
Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said, “The more we hear, the more it is clear this goes way beyond Scooter Libby. At the very least, President Bush and Vice President Cheney should fully inform the American people of any role in allowing classified information to be leaked.”
Libby’s testimony also puts the president and the vice president in the awkward position of authorizing leaks _ a practice both men have long said they abhor, so much so that the administration has put in motion criminal investigations to hunt down leakers.
In addition to all of the Medicare D(isaster) bullshit, there is now a telephone scam going around…someone calls and tries to get personal info from you–SSN and bank accounts. Might be the same one that has been going around, don’t know. But, knew enough to hang up! Hope others don’t get taken im by it. more
even do charitable donations over the phone — the minute they start their spiel, I say, “I’m sorry, I don’t do phone donations; please send me information in the mail.” They never do, of course…
