Good morning.
Andi safely back home, I gather.
And refinish up and energetic as usual.
Wanted to go back to sleep this morning, but it doesn’t work that way..
Morning ask!!! Yes I am full of energy as usual!!! I have to go to work for an hour and 15 minutes this am and then will go out for breakfast, meet a friend to work on Stonewall Democrats stuff and then start looking at duplexes to move to in June.
Today should be great. Heading in to Manhattan a bit later for The March for Peace, Justice and Democracy.
Oldest asklet also enthusiastic about walking – the younger one not quite convinced.
curly can’t make it, she has to visit her mother – who, btw, was very keen to march (in her 91st year). Physically impossible, alas.
The older one is becoming more aware – she posted this a while ago at Village Blue (FM and super have seen it already). Obviously, I’m thrilled that it’s turning out that way.
Well I’ve got to start gettng ready. I’m suposed to go and start taking pitures around and in the farmhouse. I’ll check back when I have some slack time.
I was reading some of the comments at C&L and discovered my favorite screen persona: Anastasia Beaverhausen. I don’t know why but I can’t stop laughing about that one this morning.
There is an enormous black woman that works at the local TJMaxx and her name is Precious. I think it’s really very sweet because I can imagine her mother holding her for the first time and Precious seemed so right.
Thank you, thank you. I don’t know why I’m so sleepy today. I went to bed early for me. Maybe because it’s one of those slightly rainy days, the kind where the light is soft and the leaves look especially green. It makes me want to crawl back into bed.
be careful — if virtual coffee can get you out of bed and out of the house, a sip of starbucks coffee and you could end up in mexico (missouri, that is).
I have highly unrefined tastes so the gourmet coffee I buy at the grocery more than satisfies me — which is good 1) since the nearest starbucks is 14 miles away and 2) I’m cheap and would never spend that amount on coffee unless I was in an airport.
Get with it Andi. It’s the whole experience that makes paying $3.95 for a cup of coffee so soul-enriching. Personally, even though my son and his wife have/had worked for Starbucks for 6 years, I just don’t like the taste of their coffee. It always tastes burnt to me.
I tell myself that I’m getting part of my daily allotment of calcium when I get a Latte. And I don’t really drink more than a cup of coffee a day so a pot would go to waste. And those poor kids at Starbucks need the jobs. And it actually gets me up and dressed on a Saturday which makes me more productive.
And Starbucks is a blue company, and they have terrific benefits even for part-time workers. Which is why my son and his wife have good medical insurance even though he doesn’t get it through his job as a bartender.
LOL I love it. Just as I type a note into the 24/7 it closes. Hope everyone had a great nights sleep.
if you would just sleep a little later.
Morning refinish.
LOL I had already been up for an hour.
How is everybody this morning?
Morning Andi!!!!! I am great and hope you are.
I’m still waking up so I’m not ready to judge how I am yet.
I guess I should ask after the 2nd or 3rd cup of java. LOL
Good morning.

That’s a packed agenda for a Saturday!
I’m more inclined to follow Family Man’s advice on weekends.
Good Morning Ask. Follow my advice?
the plan is working. 🙂
All my days are that way. LOL
Good morning, Ask. Yup, got back home and happy to be here.
Hope everything is well with you and that you have some enjoyable things planned for the weekend.
WE are all glad you are home Andi!!! I know sniff and the crew are ecstatic to have mommy home.
Today should be great. Heading in to Manhattan a bit later for The March for Peace, Justice and Democracy.

It’s great that kids are going with you — the family that protests together changes the world together.
I thing you’re right. I wish I could have gotte my kids politically involved years ago.
The older one is becoming more aware – she posted this a while ago at Village Blue (FM and super have seen it already). Obviously, I’m thrilled that it’s turning out that way.
I remember it and you should be proud.
That was an excellent diary. She is so articulate and clearly very bright — I’m sure that you are quite the deservedly proud father.
Well, time to go take my shower and really start my day. I hope everyone has a great day!!!!! I will check in later today.
Have I miss someting. I though I did one of these this morning?
Didn’t see one, but then, I’m just starting my first cup of joe now.
I don’t know. I’ve been awake three times snce midnight.
Sounds like you are stressed?!?
Breaking your own rules lately (I have only lurked briefly in the morning cafe lately)?
No not stressed, just confused at usualy.
I forgot to wasy WELCOME HOME ANDI!
about the wedding?
No, but everyone else is. Just as long as there’s plenty of food at the recpetion, I’ll be happy.
Well, I think that stress is infectious so you probably are stressed, too and that’s why you can’t sleep.
Are you going to be gone most of the day?
P.S. Thanks for welcome back.
On being gone most of day, I don’t know. Probably later on tonight, but I know I’ll have a lot more errands today.
Oh for some slackdom.
I hope you can take some time to
relax during all the preparations and festivities. At any rate, enjoy the day.
Thanks. I figure if nothing else, I can nap during the wedding, and then after the reception and I eat, I can find somewhere to doze off for awhile.
It’s all planning. I’ve already got my napping areas scoped out.
Well I’ve got to start gettng ready. I’m suposed to go and start taking pitures around and in the farmhouse. I’ll check back when I have some slack time.
Everyone enjoy.
<yawn>
coffee?
I’m going for asking.
Good morning, Andi, I’ll take a big cup of coffee. I tried to sleep in but the weed whackers started up around the neighborhood at 8 AM.
I think you should go give them all a few choice words from the shy-bitch-goddess-of-the-left.
I saw dada’s comment in your diary! Will you send out autographed pictures if we send you a stamped self addresed envelope?
Whoa – I hadn’t read that. If I knew it was going to spread I would have used better grammar.
but sent by robinson.
I was reading some of the comments at C&L and discovered my favorite screen persona: Anastasia Beaverhausen. I don’t know why but I can’t stop laughing about that one this morning.
and look, he has a blog.
Not even the fact that it’s a man can take away my joy at just saying the name: Anastasia Beaverhausen.
I used to work with a woman named Cinderella Burton who had the same effect on me — with, of course, the added bonus that it was really her name.
There is an enormous black woman that works at the local TJMaxx and her name is Precious. I think it’s really very sweet because I can imagine her mother holding her for the first time and Precious seemed so right.
Never mess with success.
Now the pressure’s on though. We’re expecting more great things from you 😉
Thank you, thank you. I don’t know why I’m so sleepy today. I went to bed early for me. Maybe because it’s one of those slightly rainy days, the kind where the light is soft and the leaves look especially green. It makes me want to crawl back into bed.
and stay in bed.
I’m up. But I think I’ll let the cart keep rolling while I go to Starbucks. Your virtual coffee was great! But I think I need some real stuff.
be careful — if virtual coffee can get you out of bed and out of the house, a sip of starbucks coffee and you could end up in mexico (missouri, that is).
Even the thought of Mexico Missouri cannot deter me from Starbucks. And yes, I’m back already. mmmmmm that’s good.
Are you jealous 🙂

Cheapies are never willing to pay for ambience, whether it’s a locale, the presentation of food on a plate, the name on a clothing label …
We are very uncool but happy with our disposable income.
And coffee only comes in two types for me — strong/good or watery/bad.
Can I stop now?
And Starbucks is a blue company, and they have terrific benefits even for part-time workers. Which is why my son and his wife have good medical insurance even though he doesn’t get it through his job as a bartender.
I’ll be back in a few!
If it’s just the three of us today maybe I can pull a Family Man and keep the coffee cart rolling until 4:30 in the afternoon. 🙂
And I’m about to leave. I have to go to the library (which is 24 miles away) and pick up my reserved copy of Sarah Water’s Night Watch.
Until I yelled at him. 🙂
Off to go to library and other errands.
See you both later.
OMG
You did. And I would never want you to yell at me so give me a second, I’ll get my apron and I’ll get to work.
I am off work and just finished a wonderful salmon and onion omelet. I will relax a bit and then get the rest of my crazy day started. LOL
The Saturday Cafe is now open for business.
PLEASE UNRECOMMEND THIS (if you recommended).
