I’m hearing that Rove was served papers yesterday and the announcement will be made sometime this upcoming week. More when I know it…

I wonder why the delay? Is that usual?
Booman, I read elsewhere that would be quite a departure…to serve papers days ahead of press conference to announce. Fitz serves papers in the morning, makes an anouncement right after…also that Fitz maybe delaying any Rove action until after the Libby discovery hearings end..scheduled for May 16th? Wouldn’t want to be dealing with Rove and Libby discovery motions together.
We got 5 bottles on chill…feels like forever. Time to pop the corks and drink.
Wednesday?
I’m hearing he has been indicted. It seems odd to me too. But it is what I am hearing.
Truthout has a Jason Leopold article that he has been indicted. Fitz spent 1/2 day at Rove’s lawyers offices served the papers!!! giving him 24 hrs to get his affairs in order!!
Karl Rove indicted on Charges of Perjury and lying to investigators
As long as the announcement isn’t dumped on Friday, as usual, I’ll be good with it.
As for my day, it’s been rather boring. Finally getting around to reading the WSJ now.
I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope but nearly not as much as Joe and Valerie Wilson. I also hope Cheney is served papers, too!!!!
I suspect that it could be that he got, finally, a “TARGET” letter. Which, IIRC, is a precursor to indictment.
Hope springs eternal.
Sure would like to open that very nice bottle of French White Burgundy I’ve been saving.
Peace
Looks like I might need to open that special can of Milwaukee’s Best Light beer that I’ve been saving since 1987 ;o)
Please.
Remember.
It ain’t over ’til the fat man loses.
And even THAT would be just a beginning.
“Neeeeeext!!!

Wouldn’t “papers” indicate a target letter, since an indictment would lead, like Libby, to his resignation?
There’s also been some talk lately that any indictment will be filed under seal, unlike Libby’s … which leads to all sorts of tantalizing speculation. IIPA charges? Conspiracy? Dickie? Emptywheel has posted his annotated copy of Wilson’s op-ed & he can indeed spell “junket.” 🙂
EW: In other words, Fitzgerald has just shown us that Dick’s first response upon reading Wilson’s op-ed was to produce key elements of the smear launched later in the week.
(Did you ever figure out what you think about the net-neutrality vs. the no-net-regs McCurry crowd? I won’t pretend to have sorted through all the pro/con arguments, but the gut doesn’t belive AT&T, Bell South et al have our best interests in mind. One thing that’s unclear is just what the actual effect would be for a second-tier track. Are you supporting the ad? or collecting some $$$ from them in order to afford the fast track when it comes?
As I mentioned upthread, Truthout’s Leopold has him indicted on perjury and lying, -potential obstruction of justice could be added.
But Talkleft thinks that the fact Fitz spent so much time at Rove’s lawyers office on Friday could smell a plea deal was been hammered out ..but that it failed,
If no deal to avoid prison time, looking at 5 years in the slammer?
Is Fitz gonna call a news conference or have the WH announce the resignation?
Is Cheney the next Official?
