I have heard through the grapevine that the Wilson’s are optimistic that Leopold has the story right. I don’t know if they have any more insight than the rest of us or not. If I were Fitzy though, I’d let them know if the hammer was about to drop. Common courtesy, and all that…

Hi booman, did you mean grapevine or really gravevine, I guess either one is fitting here….lol. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this too will come to pass.
After many fruits of the vine, he hears many fruits of the grave. That’s normal. Especially if you have any Celtic genes.

While you’re fixing the spelling, you might want to do something about the creeping apostrophe: “Wilson’s” is a plural not a possessive, so it should be “Wilsons”.
If this was Daily Kos, there would be no Spellcheck button, and I would run the risk of a spelling error in a comment pointing out someone’s spelling errors. I’m glad that can’t happen this tome.

I have been waiting for so dang long for this. When the first snippet of the Plame outing came to light a couple of years ago, or however long ago it was, I was hopeful it would be the outrage that would take down the Bush administration making way for a Democratic win in November of 2004. That, of course, didn’t happen and there have been times I thought these guys would get away with this crime. Still might, but it’s looking better and better that someone’s going to pay. Accountability time.
Maybe Fitzy would like to but can’t, phone tapping being what it is these days.
let’s not forget the victims of Bush’s ultimate lie:
HARTFORD, Connecticut (AP) — U.S. military troops with severe psychological problems have been sent to Iraq or kept in combat, even when superiors have been aware of signs of mental illness, a newspaper reported in its Sunday editions.
The Hartford Courant, citing records obtained under the federal Freedom of Information Act and more than 100 interviews of families and military personnel, reported numerous cases in which the military failed to follow its own regulations in screening, treating and evacuating mentally unfit troops from Iraq.

I’ll be happy to see Rove frog-marched out…but I won’t be totally satisfied until Bush leaves the White House, the one failure Daddy couldn’t bail him out of…
Best Mother’s Day present I have been given today is the awareness that many mother’s in the United States have children being victimized by this administration. They are being broken in two as I type.
to coincide with the Rove indictment. Or will it be the old dhow blowing up next to one our ships trick? Or God forbid, a long hidden second sex scandal involving Clinton, Camp David and maybe not a blue dress.
If the report is true, I’d expect Rove to resign on Mother’s Day, around noon Washington time, after the morning shows are over, and reporters are otherwise not around.
Two minutes on Monday’s newscast and they won’t mention it again anyway, so what difference does it make? I’m still depressed over that Washington Post insta-push-poll on the NSA from last week. Nothing is going to come out of this media to change the horrible course the country is on, it isn’t in their best interest as corporations. The public good is a dead concept thanks to Republicans’ quest for unlimited power and the media is complicit in it’s destruction.
I think “gravevine” works for this particular event.

Wishing all Froggy Moms a wonderful Mothers Day.
Personally I wish there were a Sisters Day too, because that’s how I feel about most, if not just about all of the women who gather and write here.
Peace
Super Soulsister. Uh huh. đ
…and an extra special recognition of the courage, and limitless love given to the children of Military Tracy, Damnit Janet, and Hausfrau, and all the Mothers here who are raising children with extra special needs. Those children are so fortunate to have Mothers like all of you, and we here are better for knowing you and for your sharing of your lives with us.

I just got a tickle nose and teary eyes. My babes are still sleeping, their dad is the FOD today. Another military acronym that stands for field officer on duty. If someone blows up Fort Rucker today he’s “Brownie”. I sent him out having eaten his Wheaties though so he had better handle things better than “Brownie”! He shouldn’t have any wardrobe issues at least to get in the way of getting the job done. So my Mother’s Day begins with the precious commodity of “quiet time for Mom”.
Enjoy the quiet time, Sister. And happy Mother’s Day!
I’d like to echo super’s sentiments of best wishes to all the wonderful moms here at BT. Happy mothers’ day. We love you dearly, as do your children.
What Super and canberra boy said.
I have to confess it has not been an entirely successful Mothers’ Day here at the canberra boy household.
An unexpected late Saturday afternoon visit yesterday turned into a spontaneous dinner with family friends. When the guests finally departed, next thing I knew it was 11.30pm and my 3yo and 8yo daughters were trying to tell me they were not interested in bed… meanwhile mum/mom had gone to sleep. Our youngest was almost first up this morning (my partner is always first, because she values the uninterrupted time for scrapbooking [another story].
After a successful delivery of new dressing gown and slippers to mum/mom and decadent breakfast, the two girls spent most of the morning fighting with each other, and getting told off by us parents.
The afternoon was somewhat similar – but made more complicated by the 3yo not having a mid-day nap. Mum/mom, who will leave the house at 6am Monday for work, was asleep by 9.00pm, but the girls kept exciting each other and asking me for food or drinks. Grrrr – children!! We love them, though!
Best thing today was my 8yo’s best friend has got a baby sister – born this morning!! Very exciting – especially if you’re aged 8. Welcome to the world, little girl.
Sounds like you have everything perfectly under control ;o)
Of course. Naturally. Perfectly under control. Dysfunctional… us?
I’ve come to the realisation that there is no such thing as a ‘normal’ family.
Oh, forgot to say that I learnt today (a bit by accident) that my brother and his wife of about 20 years are going to separate. Not bitterly – just realised they are ‘growing apart’.
A big day, today.
Can’t help thinking about the images PsiFighter37 posted in that ‘I’ve had enough’ diary. The dismembered bodies. The coffins.
I was surprised to hear on our national (public) radio this afternoon that Code Pink are mounting a 24-hour Mothers’ Day vigil outside the White House. A big day indeed.
I’m so happy that Ruth Marcus in the WaPo this morning reminded us that for a lot of mothers (and fathers), the coverage of work/family issues doesn’t come near the kinds of daily challenges they face. Check out the article The Family as Firing Offense.
Crooks and Liars has the Al Gore appearance on SNL last night. Great stuff!

he doesn’t have any friends and he isn’t very sexual. This comes as no big surprise to me.
Would you want to be friends or have sex with that?
