I love election day. I hope we win some of these races here in Pennsylvania. Some of the results will not be known until Friday. What’s on your mind?

Did you get any feel from the polling places? Maybe you could average polyester vs cotton clothing to come up with a Boo exit poll.
well, first of all, there was a guy out front that handed me a flyer for Sandals. Inside I was the 27th voter, so low low low turnout. And they were blasting Barry White music, which was amusing as hell.
Do you live in 175? What’s the word on the street– does Anne Dicker have a chance? In all that long article about her in Philadelphia Weekly, it left out the most important thing of all– she is a graduate of Middlebury College! ; ) I certainly am hoping that she wins. Out in the ‘burbs there’s not much cooking, I’m afraid. Pretty darn dull election day. Just waiting for November!
no, I’m not in the 175. But I did get to vote for Jen Murphy, Dicker’s campaign manager. And I voted for Chuck.
Who does a low turnout favor?
hard to say and it depends on the race.
Sandals and Pennacchio would like to see high turn out in Philly and low turnout elsewhere. But, ultimately, they don’t have a chance of winning.
My friend Anne Dicker has an impassioned base, so the low turnout will favor her.
My guess is that in Philadelphia, at least, a very low turnout helps the establishment candidates. No data to back that up so don’t jump all over me for being stupid, but I’m picturing the type of voter who’s been showing up for every election for the last 40 years, voting just the way their ward leader told them to. I hope I’m wrong.
I know it is a long shot, but I would give anything to see Chuck beat Casey out for the Dem nomination. What a lovely message that would send to the party.
I usually love election day, but this one is just pissing me off. Oh, well. I’ll cry you that river some other time.
Well, I just voted…paper ballot, with a receipt this time. Interesting.
I found this joke funny, or is it?? What is funny is that this joke came from a repub friend! Hmmm.

In a Cabinet meeting this morning, Donald Rumsfeld reported to the President and the cabinet that, “Three Brazilian soldiers were killed today in Iraq.”
>
President Bush replies, “Oh, my God!” and buries his head in his hands. The entire Cabinet is stunned. Not a word is spoken. Usually
Bush is very stoic in reaction to such news. Then, he looks up and asks, “How many is a brazilian?”
Just reading the news and enjoying the Republican infighting. Especially amusing is the Senate’s agenda for the rest of this year.
Republican Senator: Damn, the religious voters finally figured out that all we do is talk, talk, talk without ever passing anything they want. This is desperate, we have to do something.
Frist: I know, we’ll devote all of our time to activist conservative social bills that have no chance of passing just to show how much we care about them. Even more rhetoric without results is bound to turn things around!!!!!
Has there ever been a more inept American politician than Bill Frist?
Shit. A bunch of info just came out on CNN about the Plame hearing today. And I am busy the rest of the night. I hope someone can find a transcript of what was just revealed by John King.
