What’s everybody been up to this afternoon?
I’m pretty much done with doing anything the rest of the day. Not that I did much to begin with. 🙂
I had a pretty slackerly day — short walk with the dogs, bike ride, book-reading, chat in the cafe.
Sounds like a perfect day to me. I saw your green creek picture in the last cafe. Beautiful!
I forgot the best part — the temps are in the 70s and there’s a slight breeze in the trees which I can listen to through the open windows.
Then it is a perfect slackerly day. I’m afraid the way you keep talking about your place and with the pictures to boot, you’ll have a booswarm down on your place one day. 🙂
The lack of broadband and people’s inability to find it without very precise directions should suffice to prevent that.

… on making a banner for the top of a blog? Specifically, if you take a large image, do you have to crop it to fit in the banner measurements or can you shrink it in some way … does that make sense?
I don’t know about PS pro but there should be a resize option. However, resizing it will distort it if you’re trying to make a banner. Therefore, cropping is the best idea.

In Durum raising parts of ND they call Durum wheat, wheat. Where we are saying “wheat” means HRSW.
I thought it might be wheat — around here the only crop that is that green is winter wheat.

I took another one later in the day, similar, but looking south, green was fine but the cloud detail washed out. So I was happy this one turned out well.

went outside to drive to the Pride Parade and I have 2 flat tires. Looks like I will miss it as there is no way I can get them replaced and be in Austin in time. The repair company is on the way but this sucks!!!!

Thanks. I will be there in spirit but will have to miss the parade and I am upset to say the least. I have only missed two other pride parades since the early 80’s and have marched in more than I have watched.
Easy solution. Take a hammer, smash your hand and the whole thing will be forgotten for at least a little while. Drastic I know, but I hear it works. 🙂

Well I hardly ever eat out, so tonight it is Kung Po beef, pork fried rice, egg roll and Hot & Sour soup. This will topped of by a half gallon of cherry ice cream coated with chemically abundant chocolate/fudge magic shell.

It will be a very big bowl though. I’ll have to hold off until just before bedtime. Otherwise I’ll be out like a light.

Well, they did it this afternoon…CBtY’s lacrosse team finished out tht was the most competitive game we’d seen all season…the score was 2-2 at the half, but they got rolling and beat the other team 9-3 in the end. One of the coaches from the opposing team got told to leave the field…but sucked up to the ref and got to stay for the second half. Darn.
Well, enough bragging about the offspring. What are you all up to?

LOL need you even ask. I did get a lot of stuff done inside today and I did go outside to drag off a 20 foot long limb that came down during the thunderstorm last night. Luckily it didn’t weigh that much.
I wish I had a picture of the carpet in one of the rooms of our first house. It was the kind of multi-layered shag rug you would lining the inside of a 1970 chevy van. It was red, black, and white splotches with little black eyeball shapes in the red part. We tore it up before we moved in and Jim put in his room at school for the kids to play on.
And so convenient in case any of them barfed.
We play a little game while we’re eating breakfast sometimes. It’s called Name That Gross Body Part That The Fruit Most Closely Resembles.
Obviously the peach is a butt. But the lemons?….it debatable whether it’s boobs or um, something else.
I think the pear is a uterus.
