Hey, did I read correctly that you guys are planning a photo fair for the second weekend in October?!? (please?)
I think if there is interest we should set a date and identify a committee. And get started with real publicity. And to decide how it would work.
I think there’s interest — I’ve seen it mentioned in the cafe several times. Who organized it last time? It was really great. I vote for it being an annual tradition. OTOH, I didn’t do any of the work.

365 days, at least one Café diary per day (Lord knows I never had to do more than one) — does anyone want to guess how many Café diaries have been put up in the past year? I would surmise it’s over 1,000.
I think there’ve been some 7 cafe days. But the database doesn’t go back that far now, does it?
There’s a box to check for searching the archives next to the search box. IIRC, the site crashed some time that week and some stuff was lost, but everything else should be there.
I tried searching Diane’s diaries but they only go back to March. But I’m sure Manny and Brother are right.

Back in the early days, it was one diary per day and we were good to go, now it averages 3-5 (seven if maryb starts an orgy on the frontpage).
I heard that. There haven’t been any orgies in months. I turned over a new leaf at Easter. 🙂
But there are still 5-7 cafes every Saturday.

How ya doing tonight?
I’m a bit on the hot and tired side, but otherwise intact. Just didn’t have it in me to water tonight, but hopefully stuff will make it through till tomorrow. I was so wiped out from pretending to work today that I just didn’t have it in me to even get out and take pics. How lazy is that?
And FM would be proud of you … 🙂 Although, I think the ultimate goal would include not having to work at the pretending so you don’t tire yourself out LOL …

due to the heat, and since it’s going to cool down tomorrow, I’m refusing to turn on the AC. But they had a nice cold cup of Frosty Paws tonight, so they’re happy and snoozing.
Yeah, I thought of FM too… left a comment at his site today, and hoping he turns the corner with the cold soon. Nothing worse when it’s hot than having a cold.
And I was going to leave a comment at your place too, but Blogger seems to have had issues with comments today. I’m wondering if I should set up shop there, given all the whining I’ve seen about them being down lately on AmericaBlog and Atrios, et al. We’ll see…

I had this argument with militarytracy only a few weeks ago about posting people’s true identity and the name of their places of business on other sites. Especially if we’re talking professionals and naming the name of their firms. She disagreed. But you know, it’s the logical next step to start using clients against bloggers who are professionals. Whether you like the guy or not, this sucks.

I couldn’t believe it–Armando tossed off of D.kos! But that is not true: It is not the way it happened.
No need for me to link to anything: The story is simple. Somebody obtained or learned Armando’s real world identity (not so hard) and googled for his professional records, which turned out to include his law firm and client list, and then started posting it all over the net, including D.kos, and this has created a real problem for Armando. He says he is leaving blogging.
Internet outing is shaping up at the Rethugs’ latest attack and intimidation tactic, so I guess one can only try to be prepared.
Oddly enough, my diaries at D.kos still exist, though the last was from nearly a year ago–just about the time of the pie fight!
