Still awake, Andi?
Off, what a day. Just back home after a long day/week.
Looking forward to the weekend, hope for some relaxation. Which includes meeting other tribbers tomorrow.
Plum tuckered out, won’t last long.
I’ll have you know my CA friends who visited the farm over the weekend have arrived safely in CA with their four packs of lefse, (homemade in rural ND.) No small feat I might add.
I once saw a book called “Norigami” — Norwegian origami patterns. It included patterns for a norigami snowball (pretty much what you’d expect) and norigami lefse (I think you folded the paper in half or something).
I had a pleasant afternoon visiting my friend, Art. He’s sort of an IVG X some multiple, as far as plants, flowers and landscaping goes, so now I’m going through the photos and trying to attach names to plants, with some difficulty due to the condition of my “notes”
Oh, sorry to hear that Family Man. I get frequent headaches from smashing my head in a car accident many years ago, but luckily I’ve only ever had two migraines. You have my sympathy. I hope you get some relief soon.
Hi, Olivia! I’ve been feeling sort of useless all day. Just yucky and we had bad weather. I was just looking at the paper and realized what it must’ve been — Bush AND Rove were here! <shudder>
How’s things up north? (wait, maybe you’re not really north of me?)
I’m near Seattle. I’m not that good with geography and just assume all of Canada is north of me, but I remember reading that some bits aren’t. We keep meaning to visit Vancouver one of these days, but we haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Here’s a link to the classic movies w/ Megan Follows, Colleen Dewhurst, and Richard Farnsworth who as Matthew is just suberb. I’ve read and watched these movies so many times. You have to see them Izzy … 🙂
I forget exactly, but I think it’s in the mid western part of the state. He’s talking of coming to TN to camp and I told him that might be the closest we get together.
Art was telling me today the place was a wheat field when he started building a home there, I think he said 40 years ago. Now there’s huge trees of many varieties, numerous flower beds, some 100+ hostas, large garden areas, apple trees – it really is like a fairly large park.
Hell at 75 I expect to be in a nursing home, with the nurses and staff running after me after I’ve shuck off all my clothes and I’m running around outside.
Only 20 something odd years more and I can realize a dream. 🙂
When I was younger — last years of highschool — I worked as an aide in a nursing home. One day I was heading down to the dining room to get things set up for the meals, and I came across one of the male residents in the hallway … He was standing up and leaning very close to the drinking water fountain … He was peeing! It was one of those Ack!!! moments LOL. Thankfully another aide saw it too, and came running to help me … The poor man, I’ve never forgotten that, and many other things I witnessed working there … I often wonder what crazy things I’ll get up to when it’s my turn …
I also worked hospitals and nursing homes when I was younger. The only thing that would get me is to walk into a room and see two great grandparent type people getting it on.
I would usually turn right back around and walk out. 🙂
’cause I’m always seeing something weird in photos and that’s at most any time of the day. Could have something to do with a lingering effect of “consciousness enhancement” that occurred a few decades back.
and a nice compliment, thanks, but as I mentioned for the time being I really shouldn’t be devoting any more time to this online stuff, gotta spend a little time in RL ya know, but maybe once winter starts up, seems like there’s more free time then.
wherever you are — and anybody else who wonders by.
Good night!
Did I learn something new?
Mrs. Calabash?
… to this…?
Thanks! Then I did learn something new.
Still awake, Andi?

I think Andi’s in dreamland by now … 🙂
Are you just getting in from working? Yikes!
Hi olivia,
Yeah, a bit too much. But I’m going overseas Monday and the weekend is fully booked. What had to be done, had to be done.
You’re meeting up w/ the group tomorrow too … that’s great!
Good evening to the unhost, and everybody else!
How ya doin tonight … getting ready for tomorrow?
Hi Olivia! I’m just hoping that I can get there while some BTers are still there.
Good evening, boran.
Re your query in MT’s meet-up entry; we’re also planning for a full day, into the evening – so hope you can make it.
Hi Ask! I’m hoping to meet you tomorrow!
I’m here, the party can start now.
What do you mean, it’s been going for over a year? Well!
Hi Omir,
You seem charged and ready to go.
I’m in a pretty decent mood. It is after all a Friday.
There seems to be a rift in the space-time-continuum, as you can see we haven’t a full cafe and here you are! 🙂
All the better for me. I am large. I contain multitudes. I could use the extra space.
There’s lots of space here tonight … it’s very, very quiet. 🙂
It sure is, and I’m about done.
I’ll have you know my CA friends who visited the farm over the weekend have arrived safely in CA with their four packs of lefse, (homemade in rural ND.) No small feat I might add.
Mmm, lefse – makes me trhink of my grandmother who really knew how to bake them. Yummy.
Sorry NDD and all, I’m a party pooper in need of some zzz.
Mmmmmm . . . lefse.
I once saw a book called “Norigami” — Norwegian origami patterns. It included patterns for a norigami snowball (pretty much what you’d expect) and norigami lefse (I think you folded the paper in half or something).
And wishing you a wonderful w/e and trip … hope you’ll be able to check in!
How about you? 🙂
I had a pleasant afternoon visiting my friend, Art. He’s sort of an IVG X some multiple, as far as plants, flowers and landscaping goes, so now I’m going through the photos and trying to attach names to plants, with some difficulty due to the condition of my “notes”
Is this the friend w/ the prius? And I can’t imagine a multiple of IVG — his brain is an plantopedia … 🙂
Did you get some good pix?
don’t know if any of them are gallery quality, but had fun taking the shots and try to learn new stuff
Makes the viewing more pleasurable too, knowing you had fun taking ’em.
Please tell me it 5:00 am Saturday morning. If not I’ve outdone myself for early rising.
It’s 5:00am Saturday morning, and look who’s up?
You know, the early rising might have something to do w/ your going to bed at what, 8pm? 9 at the latest?
My naps are out of whack. Is this the domain of the Late Night Crew.
As you can see … only you, NDD, and me … it seems anyways.
Are you feeling ok otherwise?
Felling fine, just a little disoriented.
Where are the regulars at tonight?
I imagine dada’s got some music-y thing going on — probably sitting in a bar somewhere …
And IVG had mentioned they might be entertaining a neighbour — for his birthday …
Let’s see, um mm’s not feeling well, so hopefully she’s sound asleep and recuperating.
K — hasn’t been around the last couple of days.
Manny — not sure …
Izzy just showed up … yay!
That’s all I can think of for now.
That’s cool. A quiet cafe is just a good and a noisy one.
Good evening, folks! Who’s still around?
Hi Izzy. How’re ya doing?
Oh, doing okay. I see you’ve gotten your naps out of synch — I hate when that happens!
Yeah it happens from time to time. The only good thing about it is I get to hand out with the late night crowd.
It’s always a treat when you pop up in the late night cafe. 🙂
Have your headaches been leaving you alone lately?
Thanks for asking, but nope about the same.
Oh, sorry to hear that Family Man. I get frequent headaches from smashing my head in a car accident many years ago, but luckily I’ve only ever had two migraines. You have my sympathy. I hope you get some relief soon.
Thanks Izzy, we’re working on it.
Heya … how ya doing?
Hi, Olivia! I’ve been feeling sort of useless all day. Just yucky and we had bad weather. I was just looking at the paper and realized what it must’ve been — Bush AND Rove were here! <shudder>
How’s things up north? (wait, maybe you’re not really north of me?)
Hot today … 80s. Otherwise cool … 😉
You know, I’m not sure where you’re geographically situated.
I’m near Seattle. I’m not that good with geography and just assume all of Canada is north of me, but I remember reading that some bits aren’t. We keep meaning to visit Vancouver one of these days, but we haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Vancouver is beautiful. I went from Victoria to Vancouver to Seattle years ago. It all seemed to north to me. 🙂
Or anywhere more easterly?
As far East as I’ve been was Calgary and then on to the West coast. The next year I was supposed to go to New Foundland but the trip fell through.
I always wanted to go up into eastern Canada, but never got the chance.
Especially PEI.
I’m not Canadian enough yet. What’s PEI?
(Is)Land of red dirt roads, the singing sands, salty ocean breezes, lobster, and Anne of Green Gables … 🙂
Anne of Green Gables was one of my favorite books as a kid! I keep meaning to watch the movie (or is it a series?) on CBC.
Here’s a link to the classic movies w/ Megan Follows, Colleen Dewhurst, and Richard Farnsworth who as Matthew is just suberb. I’ve read and watched these movies so many times. You have to see them Izzy … 🙂
Thanks so much for the link, Olivia! I wish we could watch it together eating popcorn and bon bons — it seems like it would be that kind of movie.
It’s one of my all-time favs. Do you think you could get it there? Rent it etc.?
I’m sure I could — I’ll let you know when I watch it.
Nope, Thunder Bay farthest east on # 1, but may have crossed the line in Mich somewhere sometime.
You were in the same Province at least … 🙂
I’ve got a good friend that lives in MI and wants me to come up there for a visit.
Where abouts … close to Detroit? That’s about an 8hr car drive from me.
I forget exactly, but I think it’s in the mid western part of the state. He’s talking of coming to TN to camp and I told him that might be the closest we get together.
That’s not as near as MI.
You never know, I might make it up to the cold north one day. Ever since I’ve moved back here, I have been know to leave the state a couple of times.
And have you been known to leave the country?
Yes to both. When I win the lottery, I’ll load us all up and fly us to a chocolate factory. 🙂
My bro lives in Vancouver. Yeah, I think Windsor is of similar latitude to N.California or something like that… 🙂

Gorgeous, NDD, thanks!
That’s great NDD. I like it especially when you enlarge it and it seems like you’re surrounded by color.
Love the yellow.
And look at you doing the full and macro linkages. 🙂
Thanks for the compliments folks.
Art was telling me today the place was a wheat field when he started building a home there, I think he said 40 years ago. Now there’s huge trees of many varieties, numerous flower beds, some 100+ hostas, large garden areas, apple trees – it really is like a fairly large park.
It sounds like Art has put one heck of a lot of work into this place.
as he’s doing it all by himself now, whereas in earlier years he had a wife, sons and daughters to help.
Hell at 75 I expect to be in a nursing home, with the nurses and staff running after me after I’ve shuck off all my clothes and I’m running around outside.

They’re not dead … and you wouldn’t be rude and watch right? 😉
Of course I wouldn’t watch and that was the age before digital cameras. 😛
“plumbing” is still capable of working in the advanced years.
It certainly was for these people. Like rabbits I tell ya, like damn rabbits. 🙂
… little bunnies. 😉
That’s amazing … good on him!

The centres always look like they’re glowing.
These are a great colour!
if he doesn’t make it tonight. I’m sure he’d have some interesting comments.
😉
I’d love to hear what he has to say as well …
When you enlarge it, it almost look like little star systems.
OK this isn’t my time of day to be up, so give me a break. 🙂
’cause I’m always seeing something weird in photos and that’s at most any time of the day. Could have something to do with a lingering effect of “consciousness enhancement” that occurred a few decades back.
I think you explained my sense of observation to a ‘T’. I think my couscious got enhanced and never stopped. 🙂
differently since those days, like once an awareness is awakened it just kept on going.
I agree with you on that. Once you’ve seen something in a different way it’s hard to look at it the old way.
Although I would like the sky to go back to being blue, instead of purple. 🙂
LOL, it seems you’ve reached a much higher level of consciousness than what I have attained so far.
I must have been lacking the proper “condiments.”
Ahem, one of those concerts you had to be there. Even to this day I’m still wondering if I ever left the concert. 🙂
Nope. Hold on and let me turn around and I’ll see who’s playing. 🙂

Not meaning to push or anything, hint, hint. 🙂

I was gently nudging the other day too!
You’re better at gentle nudging than I am. I just usually barrel ahead.
As I showed I am not the most subtle of people. 🙂
… which cancels each other out … 🙂
On the larger view, I like how you can see the little stamen poking out and the blue anthers.
WHAZUP dada.
I’m just going to open a new cafe … don’t fly off now!
“consciousness enhancement” discussion that woke ol’ dada up from this nap.
Be there or be square …
