May your children always be a blessing to you, and may you be a blessing to them.
I’m fortunate to have two wonderful and talented kids, my son who is a 4.0+ student in High School and my daughter who plays five different musical instruments, plays first base on her softball team better than I could and is simply beautiful. Really. I’m not just saying that as her Dad.
I’ve bragged on mine, so now brag on yours.
I totally spaced Fathers Day. I’ve held two protests now on Mothers Day as well as boycotted the Hallmark version of Mom’s day.
We’ve been so busy as a family in some recent support actions and protests. I think we all forgot.
However we’re meeting up with SallyCat Thursdyay to do some kayaking and camping. I have to be back by Saturday though to go to … another protest.
Don’t feel bad. I’m not even home for father’s day. I’m spending it with Booman.
Ha!!!! 🙂 What are you doing? I’ve been a major space case these past two weeks.
Just visiting Philly and Cabingirl and Booman. I hope to also go to Drinking Liberally….which my husband now calls chugging liberally. It is a great fabulous vacation for a Progressive sort of stuck in Alabama now. Cabingirl is very bored (her children have been gone now for about 30 hours and she is lost), we must go to the store for ammunition like ribs, and margaritia mix. Met ask and curly yesterday at the Clearwater Festival. The asklets are amazing kids. His son played continuously with Joshua, his daughter was reading a book on dittoheads….very savvy lady already and beautiful too.
Next DC protest, I’ll have to make arranements to make drinks for you guys and gals! 🙂
Looks like next weekend I will be getting my ass arrested.
I’ll probably be in DC at the end of September for the Declaration of Peace. Medea asked me to join in the event…. it would also be a year anniversary.
Heh…we’re all sitting here blogging in my kitchen now…how weird is that?
Sitting in the kitchen blogging… makes perfect sense to me 🙂
I think very soon I will be back out there in DC land.
We’ll have to get together while you’re out, then! 🙂
It “might” be the 28th of Sept. Declaration of Peace and I’m sure there’ll be some protests/marches involved. 🙂
Would love very much to hook up with you and others.
You’re not the only one. After I woke up, I was thinking about my late father (and tearing up) and I couldn’t figure out why. And it has been 9 years since his death. Damn, I miss him!
My father crossed over 20-something years ago, and we get along MUCH better now than ever we did before, and having younguns of my own would involve a number of things that just aren’t on, so for me it’s just another day in paradise…
But congratulations to you and all the other fathers out there….and all the children.
I am going to brag about the father of my brilliant children who is courageous enough to take Howard Dean’s challenge and run for office in his dotage. Click on the link to see what a rookie candidate got for Father’s Day, 2006.
ooooooooo, love your choice in tunes. My best to the rookie. Good luck and happy father’s day to each of you dads out there.
We blasted ’em all over the neighborhood with the top down this evening. I’m thinking about renting a sound truck.
The boran2 boy has made me happy and crazy today. Just another day.
but I sure appreciate everything my Father did for me and my siblings (all 15 of them).

That is fantastic!
My dad elected to sit and cry with me for an hour at least, many years ago. For this I will ever beholding to his memory. May he rest in peace.
Here’s to all of us who enjoy children vicariously. My son is a lost soul but his ex-wife, who lives with us, has become the daughter we never had — thoughtful, funny, diligent, spunky, intelligent… Taking her citizenship exam next month.
