My diary on Al Gore over at the Orange Place isn’t getting too much attention. Could some Frog Pond folks show me some love? I know maryb2004 already has! 🙂
I’ll also be posting it here tomorrow, so if you don’t feel like reading it now, that’s okay. 🙂
Depends..because sometimes the meaning of what “pimping” is seems to be is confusing over here. I would go over there..but I can’t post in orange anymore.
The Cleveland announcers were laughing at how everyone scrambled for cover as soon as it started raining. They said ‘The St. Louis fans must not be used to getting wet – you’d think a bomb went off!”
Those in St.Louis aren’t use to anything going wrong. If it rains where the Royals play we think…at least we won’t have to take a shower..or the owners are always hosing us Royal fans.
Well now that I think about it there is always a cloud over the K.
They said there were 8 guys standing around doing nothing and 2 were trying to roll up the tarp – then they rolled it up crooked and had to start again. Then they left the ropes out in the outfield and Jim Edmunds had to bring them in.
what to say in my official announcement to save the date for the meetup (to be posted up in the Midwest area/thingy/whatever). I think I need to mention that Olivia will be there so it will be an international gathering.
Olivia won’t make me look bad by backing out, will she?
You’re right … I was weary of it. I’ll have to stick around to learn how to be devious from my American friends. I just saw your e/m btw and responded.
No worries. I have a fairly twisted sense of what’s funny as well…but I try to come off as serious in these parts. You know, I don’t want to make a fool of myself or anything in front of these seasoned…folks.
I was originally going to say ‘vegetables’, but that just wouldn’t be fair. 😛
Hey, folks. How is everyone this evening? I’m finally able to move after being paralyzed by the heat for days. Still, I think I’ll just have some iced tea.
I went a little wild this weekend in my shopping — I didn’t buy any shoes but I bought three watches.
Now I need to find outfits and shoes to go with them 🙂

Hi Psi …
Thanks!
You folks are the best. 🙂
Went and rec’ed it and also rec’ed this one here.
Keep the great diaries coming.
Where have you been? You haven’t been paying nearly enough attention to your patrons — meaning me.
And don’t give me any of that “I have to work” crap.
have you left your tip for the x-tra attention?
Oh, I always tip Manny quite well 😉
How are you tonight?
something fruity for your troubles
my bike and making tortillas.
(grocery shopping)
to be able to make tortillas while you ride your bike 🙂
Yes, explain yourself? How is that done. And did you bring enough tortillas for everyone.
years of practice, mostly involving lies and embellishment training. And of course there are enough, they’re fresh off the griddle too
SN, I can’t believe there is a rain delay. The sky is perfectly clear. It must be one cloud over the stadium.
The Cleveland announcers were laughing at how everyone scrambled for cover as soon as it started raining. They said ‘The St. Louis fans must not be used to getting wet – you’d think a bomb went off!”
The St. Louis announcers were making fun of them too. I just looked at the radar and there really IS one cloud right over downtown. Weird.

We just lost 7 in a row. We’re getting used to it.
Well, when the Cards lose 100 in a season we can talk.
Nothing personal, but I hope we don’t have that talk 🙂
Ok, now they’re ragging on the grounds crew for being slow. They said it’s like they just hired them off the street.
That’s just mean.
It’s a new stadium with a new field — they’re still perfectionists. Next year, they’ll just drag that tarp off any old way 🙂
They said there were 8 guys standing around doing nothing and 2 were trying to roll up the tarp – then they rolled it up crooked and had to start again. Then they left the ropes out in the outfield and Jim Edmunds had to bring them in.
They’re afraid of the tarp — ever since the tarp machine in old Bush Stadium ate Vince Coleman and ruined post season play 🙂
That would temper things. We had a ball girl get knocked out by a pop foul in the old Cleveland Stadium.
That reminds of a day 11 years ago or so; I got a snow day off from school – and no precipitation of any kind fell. I enjoyed it, though.
I’m going to stop giving your diaries love if you are rubbing it in that 11 years ago you were in grade school.
LOL, maryb!
Don’t hate me for being young! Hate me…well, you don’t have a good reason to! 😛
hmmm. I expect you to be entertaining to make up for your extreme youth. I’ll decide later if you’ve succeeded.
Does this count?
That goes a long way toward redeeming you.
I can’t decide. It was funny the first time. But now it plays in an endless loop and the cafe is getting all bloody.
REDRUM!
You’re a tough one to please. :/
Yes, I’m difficult. And proud of it.
🙂
you’re thinking of using this late night. Aren’t you? Fess up!
we could grief in person.

and you’re supposed to focus on in person
Seems like you’ve been very busy these last few days.
piss poor and pathetically obvious attempt to change the subject I’ve ever witnessed. You poor Canadians, you have no talent for deviousness.
Oh I so certainly agree with you Andi.
Olivia stop being coy. 🙂
You’re right … I was weary of it. I’ll have to stick around to learn how to be devious from my American friends. I just saw your e/m btw and responded.
Don’t tell me you’re beautiful too. Do you at least still fight teenage acne?
Yes, the acne still comes every once in a while, but it’s a rarity these days. Growing up does have its benefits…one of few… 😛
I wish that made me feel better, but since I’m now battling wrinkles and the acne I never had as a teenager, I think I’ll just slap you now.
I’m definitely feeling the love around these parts tonight. 😉
I’m going to try and hang out here more. I have such limited time that it’s difficult making the rounds to all the blogs on my RSS feed.
I’m sorry. I’m just a bitter old thing. 🙂
Stop with the “o” word.
I like “experienced” better 😉
“seasoned” nails it perfectly.
I’m not sure what to say that doesn’t sound vulgar.
I set that up perfectly for you and all I get is feigned speechlessness? I’m wounded
I can’t tell you how incestuous it feels to be vulgar with you when you’re my son’s age. It takes every fiber of my being to restrain myself.
one of the benefits of not having children …
It’s a curse, really. It goes against my natural instincts. Sigh.
I want to make it clear that I was a mere child when he was born. Barely into double digits.
you’re already used to the snoring. heehee
and the beer gut.
I have a non-existent butt as well
But he doesn’t speak that hot Spanish like you do. 🙁
SN and I are perfectly seasoned?
Sounds delicious … 🙂
Come to Chicago and you could find out. 😉
Coum on Oliviau – it will be sou fuuuun!
it as a perfectly blended brew of tw helado con canela. Just a tad sweet with a strong sense of spice.
(cinnamon tea)
te, not tw
you are good.
Heh…there are so many directions of wrong one can take with that.
my warped and wrong world, Psi. I know how to play to my audience too O:-)
No worries. I have a fairly twisted sense of what’s funny as well…but I try to come off as serious in these parts. You know, I don’t want to make a fool of myself or anything in front of these seasoned…folks.
I was originally going to say ‘vegetables’, but that just wouldn’t be fair. 😛
nor prudent. We may be vegetables but we would slice and dice you up before you could say “oh shit what have I done?”
SN, but if I’m a vegetable I must be a onion because I’m thinking of making him cry.
Heh.
I just can’t win…but I will keep trying!
Well, tomorrow at least. I have to go to sleep now. I’ll see AndiF and Family Man on the flip side!
See ya in the am Psi.
Family Man might have a helmet for you to borrow.
you need to work with this boy. He has potential — but he’s not living up to it. He needs a coach.
You’re calling me talentless, eh? You can’t call me something that’s already reserved for someone else!
NOT as talentless as Mr. Talent. Mr. Talent is a lost cause. You, however, could learn from the master.
But since ej hasn’t been around in a while, you’ll have to make due with Manny.
hmmm. We shall discuss this further in the new lounge.
I’m just an experienced old thing. 🙂
I think you’d get a kick out of how the Cleveland announcer pronounces Pujols. It sounds disconcertingly like poo holes.
It’s just easier to call him Albert 🙂
we get lucky — sweet young things give us hives.
I haven’t eaten yet, so I’ll be off for awhile.
Check back later.
Hey, folks. How is everyone this evening? I’m finally able to move after being paralyzed by the heat for days. Still, I think I’ll just have some iced tea.
Hi Izzy! I hope you were wearing comfortable shoes through all that heat 😉
Would you believe I’m barefoot as we speak? You’ve gotta hate weather that takes the joy out of shoes.
No shoes? It must be really hot.
I went a little wild this weekend in my shopping — I didn’t buy any shoes but I bought three watches.
Now I need to find outfits and shoes to go with them 🙂
I have never owned a watch in my life. Three?
Yep. They were only $10 each and were really cute. I figure if they only last a year, I’ve got my money’s worth.
Oh, I have a weakness for watches, too. Maybe you should post photos and we can design outfits around them.
No camera 🙁
One of them I actually have outfits to go with — it has an aqua band and a silver face.
One has a bright kelly green band and a silver face and the other is silver with a reddish/pink ribbon threaded through it. Very cute.
Heard that you’ve been having a hotspell…
It’s been over 90! I’m longing for the protective cloud cover.
at least the heat was useful enough to make some Sun Tea for you.
Bless you, Manny. You’re such a fine young man.
come on over to the 24/7 Nightowl Lounge
night Andi.
Night Andi.
