Andrew officially turns 2 next Wednesday, but while we were in Florida, my mom wanted to celebrate. So we made a wonderful carrot cake. Andrew has never had cake before, so he called it “breh” or bread. Anyway, most babies/toddlers smear their first cake all over themselves and eat very little of it. Not my little guy. He methodically consumed a large muffin of carrot cake, with the cream cheese frosting.

Now if he isn’t cuter than that little Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, posted in another diary, than I don’t know cute.
It’s a 35-minute train ride both ways. But in the morning, the train is so packed that I have to stand up the entire way. I swear I’m going to have some sort of degenerative disease in my knees by the time the summer’s over.
Just wondering if there is anyone besides me who feels the urgency of coming up with a strategy for dealing with these bizarre cultish froggie behaviors?
Still haven’t figured out why my Mighty Mouse is no longer so mighty, but I have figured out why my WiFi network drops out occasionally — it seems to be interference from the cordless phone when we’re using it. At least there’s an explanation…keeps the blood pressure down a bit. 🙂
Been having a rough few days — must be something in the air… shrug
Have a great evening — I’m going to try and get to bed at a reasonable hour…
sorry I haven’t been around much. I am feeling a little under the weather. I did post a dairy and would love you to check it out and cast a vote for Barbara in a poll.
My get well card is a vote for Barbara. Even though my finger sooo wanted to fill the dot for Claire McCaskell! But I stayed troo to yooo, dear refinish. And now I hope you get to feeling lots better. (The Casey people have run the voting way up for him. Surely he doesn’t need the money as much?)
I can’t believe that I am the first to arrive. I will work on my random 10 momentarily.
Hi Toni/Bye Toni.
Gotta run do an errand.
Back later.
Hey, you can’t do that!

Is that new Liz Phair?
It’s off the CD from a few years back.
How are you? Enjoying your summer? Cleared your lungs back out from the Florida trip yet? (It was Florida, right?)
Yeah, my lungs are clear! Florida was great. My parents just ate Andrew up. It was hotter than blazes, of course, but that’s Florida.
Are you excited about your BT meet-up tomorrow?
Blink, cool!

What an interesting mix, Cali.
You always have the widest range of music in your 10, Cali. I’m impressed.

Hah…Shiloh’s parents WISH she were as cute as Andrew!
What a sweetie.
That’s Shiloh Nouvel to you. 😉
So, Shiloh Nouvel? Nouvel is French for “new” and that spelling is the masculine spelling. What’s with that?
Who can figure those Hollywood types.
Andrew obviously knows his sweets!
How ya doing TT? It’s good to see you.
Hi Olivia! How are things?
Much better after seeing BT’s cutie patootie! 🙂
Glad I decided to quick check-in on the cafe. Cute-meter is going wild.
SN (who is visiting with me) says she can smell his sweet head from here.
From that picture, it must smell like cream cheese and pineapple.
Hi Andi and SN. What sort of trouble will you two cause in the woods of Indiana this evening?
No trouble — we are too full from dinner. Besides, we have Jim to keep us in line.
Will you tell ghost stories?
FM’s going to be real bummed to have missed you guys. He’s pining for you I think. 🙂
I’m running out for a bit…try not to wreck the place while I’m gone… 🙂
Hey, do you think that the chandelier will stay up if I hang from it?
Too late. FM, get off that table and put your clothes back on!!!
Hey Frog Pond people! It’s the weeeeeeeekend!!! 😀
to a teacher, in the summer, everyday is a weekend:)
Damn you all! Damn you! I’m hauling my ass to NYC each weekday for 10-hour workdays. Don’t mock me!
Can I get you something from the bar?
How far a commute is NYC for you?

I suppose that there is a down side to mass transit. Though, living in Detroit, I wish I knew.
Got any fun things planned?
Not really – was just playing online poker before my computer crashed. I’m worried that my desktop may be on its last legs. 🙁

at least it is a good cult. LOL
