I’m just back from vacation myself, five days in a tent in the dirt with my boys. Momma and the baby girl slept the next site over in my inlaws fifth wheel. Not exactly relaxing, but still a very good time–the kids loved it, and thus I did too.
Here’s hoping your vacation will be clean and dry. ;]
We’re definitely hoping it will be drier than the one 2 years ago, where we sat through a category 2 hurricane on a little island in the Outer Banks. 🙂
Tent camping with the fellas sounds fun. How hot was it, though?
Mid 80’s, pretty much. Beutiful campground, but all the lots except the waterfront ones were dirt. Burt Lake, huge and very clean, my five and seven year olds could go out 200 yards and still touch. 30 minutes south of the Mighty Mac, longest suspension bridge in the world, we took a day trip up and over. Very good time. Cedar Point in two weeks, then we’re calling it a summer (except for a little personal time away in August which I’m very much looking forward too. Going to look up an old friend in Philly…)
Hurricanes on a little island don’t sound like much fun, by the by. Hopefully drier this time….
Ok, skipping the post office until “morning”, up in five hours for the day job so I’m off to bed. Hope you have a great night and a great vacation–maybe with luck we could meet up in August.

The other night I was just shutting down everything at my desk. I swung my swivelchair out from under the desk & was startled to see a bug on my leg. Not really a bug maybe, but it looked like a bug. The thing was as big as a rat actually. I took a few shots of it & then realized my whole office had thousands of different bugs everywhere, The red one walking the dog was one of those. I didn`t realize it was walking a dog till I downloaded the pix. The large bug is in this little show.

This is what I found in my files… Wesley loves Koko and kittens. And Danni taught him how to search for and then copy photos into my photobucket account.
I got a bunch of Koko’s birthday bash one day in my files. I thought I had lost my mind for a moment. LOL
Oh, I love Koko. Still talk about Koko in intro psych and human development. The kitten-ape interation is just too cute!

Ya, that big one gave me a little jump, as I never felt it on me at all. I wasn`t that surprised initially really, but when the wing covers folded back & the twin turbo engines fired up & with a noise like an internal combustion engine lifted off laboriously towards my face, that`s when I reached for the gauge.

Mercury retrograde strikes again! I came home from hypnotherapy to find my wacky housemate in the bathroom hollering-it seems he was shaving his head and his razor broke or blew up. He then hurriedly left for somewhere with a pirate-style bandana covering his partly naked scalp.

Yikes, I’m so glad I don’t have to shave my head… I’m bad enough right near the ankle area… after all these years I still nick myself.
I’m convinced they test razors on 2X4’s or on logs. Nothing shaped like ankles or knees.
Or maybe all the razor companies actually belong to Johson & Johnson, so they can sell more Band-aids that way.

No, no blackouts for us today. And I had air conditioning in my office today, too, which was nice after the super-hot weekend with no AC at home during the day.
Fudge Smudge sounds perfectly craptacular. As for real ice cream, Ms GR has figured out how to make lemon ice cream – not sorbet, but ice cream. Pretty good.
Meanwhile, I’m about to crash. Off to read for a while, either about 19th century politics or 19th century mathematics. Hard to choose.
