Summer colds are the pits.
Morning.
Morning Miss Andi!!! Sorry to hear ou are still feeling bad. I am sending chicken soup and cyber hugs your way.
I’ll take ’em both. 🙂
Hey Andi. Feel better!
Good morning all.
Hope you soon get better, Andi.
Back from vacation earlier this week – it could have been longer…
Good morning everyone.
Hope you get to feeling better soon Andi.
Thanks for the concern. It’s just a cold and I’m just really crappy at feeling crappy.
Welcome back home, ask.
Hope everybody has a fine day and good weekend planned.
I can do this!
My plantar fasciitis is HORRIBLE the past two weeks – excrutiating pain and swelling, complete with new heel spur. Yuck!
I feel like my body came with a 40 year warranty and everything is expiring all at once.
It is still entirely too hot for me.
My list has gotten way shorter since I started antidepressants – WAH!, I want to whine more but I can’t!
Oh! Plantar fasciitis sucks out loud! First time I had it I thought that I had broken my damn foot. SN, you must rest that foot, get a fan, and thank heavens for antidepressants.
and I’ll help you work up that list to massive levels. (The South™ alone provides significant opportunities.)
Ooh, they’re pretty! How are they tolerating the heat?
In the heat they go in their stalls for the day and are out all night. The each have a fan and lots of bug spray. They do quite well in the heat. Oh, and Bella (the black one) just loves to get hosed down on super hot days… she even gets drinks right from the hose.
This laying down bit is new. This just started this week on the last few mornings that have been much cooler. They look like little lambs all curled up like that.
glad I stopped back in before “going to work”. I lurve your horse pictures. Thanks!
Andi, I’m so sorry you have a stinkin cold. Please take care of yourself. Your woods pictures for the cafe are georgous… I stop in here more often than I yak.
I’m glad you like the pictures — I sure like being out there to take them.
Give the horses a lump of sugar from me.

Just got hit by readers from Der Siegel with reference to Sirocco’s translation of Jostein Gaarder’s essay in Famous Author Excoriates Israel

Still trying to figure out the acronym du jour…
{{{SN}}} — sorry to hear you’re hurtin’, hon…
And whoever it was has the summer cold (Andi?), get better soon…
As for me, actually got my spud bod out of bed and went for a decent walk this morning — picked up the free daily paper so we don’t have to go chasing all over town this evening looking for a copy. Now I just need to get the spud bod off the damn desktop computer and have some breakfast so I can get to work (and get the spouse off the damn laptop).
One exciting bit of news — a few weeks ago I sent an email via Classmates.com to the woman who’d been my best friend from elementary through high school…AND SHE WROTE ME BACK!!! Now I’ve just to come up with something a bit more clever than “uhhh….mmmm…hi there…” when I write her back. She’s got two boys, 24 and 22 — geez, now I really feel f-ing old! (As if the walk didn’t do enough of that…)
Okay, off to play Domestic Goddess for a bit…
Here’s a hint: You know what TGIF stands for, right?
Buenos dias a todos. Soooooo glad it’s Friday. I managed to get my sleep-deprived self into bed by 11pm last night and now don’t know what to do with myself after getting seven hours. If you haven’t checked out ejmw’s UN10 diary, please go over and show some love, he put alot of work into it. Grassy ass!
Just a quick drive by for the moment. I’ve been busy the last few days. Wednesday I got to see a big international soccer friendly here in Seattle, Real Madrid vs. DC United (it was a 1-1 tie). Yesterday I took my granddaughter out for the day, but wouldn’t tell her where we were going. We ended up at the Seattle Aquarium with a stop at the Pike Place Market, where one of her aunts on her mother’s side works. So we got to eat some Chinese fast food (hum bow and crab rangoon), pick up some of the last of the season’s cherries, say hi to Auntie, and go to one of her favorite places.
Today I’m hauling her out again, and again I’m not telling her where. Yesterday she had some vague idea we might be going to the aquarium about the time we ended up downtown. Today she has no clue that Radio Disney is doing a big party for its listeners down in Seattle Center. At least I don’t think she does; at the very least she has no idea Grandpa knows about it and is willing to take her there.
See, this is what I like about being a grandpa with time on my hands. I just wish I had money to go along with it.
My thoughts…
Not a blog pimping… just I’m so very tired of the 3.5 hour one way drive to and from Seattle for the National Veterans for Peace Convention.
It was amazing! I met and rode in Ann Wrights’ car to go check on Cindy Sheehan… I was hugged by Ray mCgover who showed up in a CodePink shirt… anyways… I so damn tired today. Need to be with my kids and family. So later I will put up a diary with photos… the photos… I can’t quit crying thinking of all that met and saw there…
I love you all. Peace.
Get plenty of rest and family TLC…we’re a patient bunch… 🙂
I got a new CP shirt 🙂 It’s ORGANIC! 🙂 Meaning it’s 100% of child labor
free of pesticides
free of sweat (as in sweat shop)
natural dyes and ink
100% cotton.
Got the Mr. some amazing VFP stuff.
Camilo Mejia kissed me… sorry my blog entry sounds like a name dropping… but… it was most amazing. See, I wasn’t registered for the $75 workshop fee. So I heard the noon and evening speakers and the rest of the day I basically just hung out and met people or sat with people while they needed to be silent. …
The inbetween moments.. you know. Once I write this all out… with photos… I think, I hope it will be one of my better entries. And… I think soon I won’t be having too much time to write LONG things very much LOL.
The Flying Spaghetti Monster!I figured it out!
Janet-Hooray for your near-unflagging energy! Thanks for all your efforts on our (living, loving beings) behalf.
I didn’t do anything… I was just “there” and tried to be there for others in the “inbetween” moments.
Now… when are you and I finally going to hook up?? 🙂 Many things coming up.
