May the 4’s be with you
What is that? Sun? I haven’t drunk my first cup of coffee in daylight for, like, 20 days…not that I’m counting.
but I thought the delight of spending the early morning hours with me would make up for having to take the dog out to pee before you are able to remember what your name is.
Heh, I really don’t have my own name – which is a real problem when your whole life is one big identity crisis.
This morning is my FAVORITE kind of weather – cool, windy and quiet.
Oh, and if you’re fishing – yes, you are a delight in the morning. And being able to picture you rambling around in your pjs, eating a banana is just priceless. š
Of course, I was fishing but you aren’t supposed to be awake enough to notice, just make the appropriate instinctual response.
You know, with daylight savings time and waking up early, I don’t think I’ve drunk a first cup of coffee with the sun since last summer — which probably means it ain’t gonna happen again until I get decrepit enough to spend most of my time asleep.
Andi, you will never be decrepit.
My mom is pretty decripit and she sleeps like a cat – various naps during the day and night, never more than a few hours. It’s weird.
Are their storms coming your way — to up the FAVORITE quotient to your weather?
(It’s doing one of my favorite – slight breeze, cool air, a very soft, gentle rain.
Ernesto is quite a gentleman, just some rain and 20-30mph gusts, which barely register on my wind scale but feel really good after this long, hot, horrible summer. Not much rain because it’s passing east of the I-95 corridor, which is about 20 miles ieast of here.
Morning Folks!!!!! Just wanted to say Hi and that I hope everything is going great!!!! I also wanted to plug my latest podcast.
No More Lies
How ya feeling?
Howdy Andi!!! I am feeling great thank you. I am just so busy lately and as we head into the final crunch for the elections, I only see that getting worse. LOL
to take care of that back — you can’t do much campaigning while flat on your back.
LOL I won’t and on that note I have to go get ready for work. You gals have a great day!!!!!
I listened to one of your podcasts a couple nights ago and it was great! I really liked the music – the flying other brothers (?) and you really sound like a DJ. š
Thank you!!!! I do have fun doing them. LOL O course, I would love for my fans to leave recorded remarks or comments so I could add them into the next show.(hint) LOL
Good morning Andi, SN and Refinish.
Hope everyone is fine today.
and see ya later. Going for a walk in the rain. Ah, the smell of wet dogs in the morning.
Hi/bye Andi. Enjoy the walk and you can have to wet dog smell.
Morning FM – did you and your bedmate sleep well?
George slept well, I kept waking up all night.
Did anyone get any sleep in you house with your snoring. š
What a funny little man you are.
I got to sleep in until 6, so I’m feeling pretty refreshed – but I’ll still go back to bed when the guys leave.
I try to be. š
I see a very early nap coming up.
I don’t count it as a nap. It’s just going back to bed for awhile. That way I can take an afternoon nap and say I only had one nap.
I’ll be back in awhile. Have a good day.
See ya.
Are you still around FM? š
complete with wet dogs.
So how late did you stay up?
I was up ’til 3am … but still no ice cream … š
Good morning froggies! I got so little sleep last night that when the alarm went off I woke up moaning “no,no,NO!!!” Friend and I went around the corner last night to the Pub at the End of the Universe and drank Snakebites (hard cider with Guiness spooned over the top) and bemoaned our pitiful love lives. I had just got back from a wedding also attended by a guy I was interested in and dated a bit this summer who was with (like arms around each other) a good friend of mine-surprise! He wouldn’t even say hello to me. My pal was just unceremoniously dumped by his beloved for no apparent reason. I like drama but it’s more interesting from a distance.
I like drama but it’s more interesting from a distance.
You got that right. If I want a soap opera I’ll watch one on television, not live through one.
FINALLY getting out to do all the crap we’ve been putting off — blood work at the lab and driving an hour to do financial crap.
Apartment’s still a mess, but the spouse really wants to go out and play tomorrow…we’ll have to see about that…
Will try to be home for Random 10, but no promises…
How is everybody today?
Just a quick post-and-run, most likely, as swimming is going to be on the agenda for later today. It’s still only 66° out here today but that won’t last long.
It’s been a long time….How is everyone?
Hey katiebird. How are you doing?
Hi SN — I’m fine. I don’t think I’ve ever been as consistantly tired as I’ve been this summer. It’s been miserably hot and I’ve spent too much time just staring into space.
Now that the weather seems to have broken, I’m hoping to be a little more visible again.
How are you?
That actually sounds alot like me. Hot, crabby, tired, and did I mention hot?
Also it’s been eventful, my middle son went off to college leaving only one at home. My daughter got hit by a truck – you know, the usual.
college? Trucks? What, what? When? How?
Is she OK? (I’m assuming he’s fine)
She was crossing the street just off campus on the third day of classes, on her bike, when a guy turned left into her. She broke her nose and several bones in her face, her wrist, her big toe, lots of broken and bashed in teeth which will probably die. She had just gotten her braces off and now has them back in to try to keep her teeth from falling out. But she’s back in class, hobbling along, trying to catch up, and we’re suing the bastard.
Oh, SN — that’s horrible. Terrible. You must have been terrified. And trying to focus on new classes while you’re so hurt. Please tell her how sorry I am (I was run over by a car, so I have a pretty good idea how bad she feels. Although I didn’t break anything. Thank God.)
And a truck. (shudder) I had no idea.
Thanks, kb. At first she was ecstatic to be alive, but I think she’s getting sort of depressed now about her face and teeth, and now she’s sort of afraid to go out. But she’s doing it!
SN — I was in a headon car wreck when I was 19 (a friend was driving) and I got a huge, cartoon huge, bump on my forhead that took 6 months to disappear.
I went through that same thing. From being glad to be alive to being seriously depressed about looking like a freak-show (the bump stood out more than a fist length in width.) And just when I was at my lowest point my sister said, “I’m so impressed that you keep going places and doing things, if I looked like you, I wouldn’t go anywhere.” That’s when I sunk even lower.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry! What are sisters for. š
Yep, if you didn’t love ’em, you’d hate ’em. (now that it’s been more than 30 years, I can smile about it)
Well, thanks for letting me know about your experience. It’s nice to know it’s kind of normal to go through those feelings. I’ll tell her.
The trick (and it’s hard) is to let nature take its course. I can’t tell you how many well-meaning people would stop me on the street to suggest I “lance it” {{shudder}} I’d still have the scars if I’d done that.
I wish I could give her a hug.
but hello back!
Hi Andi!! I’m still here (although I’m running across the street for a couple of minutes… I should be back for sure in 10)
I hope the medical side of things have been improving over the summer.
Nothing new here as usual.
Ah, well. The health stuff is about the same — we’ve had horrible heat and that’s really kept me down.
But that’s over, it’s a new season — and everything is bright and sparklingly new! (giggling like a mad woman)
I’ll try to poke my head in later tonight again.
And Cabin Girl just opened a new cafe for you to visit.
