Washington County Peace Vigil 57th Week.
Beaverton, Oregon, 6:30 to 7:30
It’s Raining, it’s pouring
And George is still warring…
I share these photographs of the faces of those opposed to war and the Bush Administration because you will not see or hear of them on the news. They are your neighbors, your co-workers, your teachers, your students, your bus drivers. I want to share that they are you and I.
I hope to capture the energy of these peace vigils and more importantly the passion of the people. I hope to empower others to find their local vigils or create their own. To at least know that they are not alone.
…and many miles to go before I sleep…
Many miles to go before we all can sleep

thank you…
This may be the last one from me for a few weeks. And it breaks my heart…
My husband will be attending every other Wednesday and will try to capture it.
Thanks Janet..wonderful pictures..like that ‘pre-emptive impeachment’ idea. How’s your ear doing?
well… I stood out in the rain but I had some cotton in it. I know… I know… I gotta make the appt… it’s been hectic week with new job, testing and such.
I will try to get a schedule where I can attend the vigils. I had to tell them last night and I felt really bad. I even thought of you, Chocolate Ink, about how far we have traled in this short amount of time.
From the Vietnam Wall.. to a street right outside a library. But always… together.
I have the bandana sign I sent to Boston Joe that many of you signed when in D.C. sitting right next to my computer so I think of that trip of ‘ours’ often.
and yeah going to doctors are no fun-believe me I know-but sometimes it’s the lesser of the evils.
Damnit Janet, get your ass to the Doctor NOW!
It doesn’t make sense. I know. Sorry. Asked my husband to make the appointment for me for next week because Ms Big and Bad CodePinker is really a chickenshit when it comes to doctors (OBGYN and Ears stuff).
My “Dad” lost his hearing. And my brother told me last night he’s dealing with some of the same crap with his ears. So each time I go to the phone… I allow myself to procrastinate or put it off. I’m really really bad… actually I’m really really don’t think I can have one more thing on my plate you know. I’m juggling kittens as it is.
Ya know sis…I only get on your case cause I love ya…lol. Seriously, you will do absolutely no one any good if you allow this to continue and get worse. We love that you are out there day in and day out in the trenches but at what cost to your health girlfriend. I am also saying this to you as a fellow procrastinator and Dr. avoider. I also have/had Miniert’s Disease and they got it under control with Antivert. Now if there were only a pill for AntiWar huh?
Dammit Janet! I encourage you to get off the sofa and make the appointment for ASAP….Now. (Just liked the way Leezy used your name, so I thought I would steal it and repeat the message.) I haven’t been in on earlier discussions about your ears, so I’m out of the loop, but I do know you only have two. When they work right, they’re pretty cool! Best to try to keep them that way, IMO. Thanks for the pics!
