Nothing makes my patriotic heart burn brighter than learning that Cowboy Diplomacy continues unabated.
The lawyer sent the statement on behalf of a paralegal who said men she met on Sept. 23 at a bar on the base identified themselves to her as guards. The woman, whose name was blacked out, said she spent about an hour talking with them. No one was in uniform, she said.
A 19-year-old sailor referred to only as Bo “told the other guards and me about him beating different detainees being held in the prison,” the statement said.
“One such story Bo told involved him taking a detainee by the head and hitting the detainee’s head into the cell door. Bo said that his actions were known by others,” the statement said. The sailor said he was never punished.
linkage – emphasis mine
Bo Bo Bo, clearly you’re an amateur. A real soldier for <strike>Christ</strike> Bush would’ve been much more creative than that. Here, sit your nalgas down and learn from the pros:
Did you take notes? Good. While you perfect your Freedom March Boogie, the liberal traitors that congregate at all those evil college campuses are gonna waste more time debating whether or not we should be coddling terrorists.
Don’t they know that Thanksgiving is coming and in order to spread democracy and peace, first we’ve got to fatten up the turkeys then go in for the kill?
Some people just don’t get it.

Portland beatings… from world can’t wait
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/10/6/143514/245
How ugly is it going to get before citizens of the “free” country are going to wake the hell up??
(((Manny))))
not diary whoring/pimping… just that it has video of how our Portland “cops” handle protestors. It’s sickening.
I learned alot about police antics at the immigration march last April when racist freak Roy Warden burned a Mexican flag and nearly instigated a riot.
(((Janet)))
It’s scary out there.. people just don’t seem to realize it. They don’t see it on the blogs as much and they sure as hell don’t see it on TV. So to them … it’s just not happening/escalutaing.
I was writing to a friend and I told her how much I miss BostonJoe’s writings because he KNEW what it was like out there. I also went on to say that your diaries and your action keep me going. That your work and words humble and inspire me.
I’m ready to be arrested. My husband knows and understand this and is supportive.
One day others will join us. But I worry that day will be too late.
Keep up the words AND work, Manny.
I love you.
it is scary out there but as one of my commenters said the other day when I was feeling particularly loathsome:
So cheer up! There are avenues to keep the level of engagement somewhat high since politics should be seen as fun, especially if one ascribes to politics as a ‘contact sport’.
about that Gulag thing…
A doctor?!!!!!
First do no harm?!!!!
He should lose his license. No wait. He should lose something else.
and just think, this is one of those times where we actually know what happened…
Manny and Janet, my two favorite warriors. Thanks for all that you both do and your actions following your words. I am very proud to be associated with both of you and love and appreciate you both very much.
This torture stuff makes me so ill I can hardly stand to read about it. Thanks for ones like you who are willing to wade into it and keep the ugliness out where it can be seen and not forgotten.
Be careful both of you. My heart and spirit are standing with you every minute. If either of you ever need bail money, you know you have a whole community of us here that will be on top of it immediately.
I salute you!
Big warm hugs
Shirl
