Focal length: 50.0mm Exposure time: (1/500) Aperture: f/11.0 Taken: 2006-08-18 I took this one while driving home — the only benefit of rush hour traffic.
I don’t know why, but this year I seem to be drawn to the B&W images (even though this one is in color). Maybe it’s Andi’s lines and edges thing; they’re easier to see in B&W.
Olivia, I loved this photo when I first saw it on your blog. Again, you’ve caught it at exactly the right moment and the title is the icing on the cake. Wonderful!
Damn, Olivia,
I`m obviously going to have to step it up a few notches
just to keep up with your tail wind.
I`ve looked at all of your images & MaryB`s comment is a real funny one
on a really nice picture.
The reflection shots & the waterdrop one are my favorites. The sharing Gull, is great, made more so by the title. The comment on black & white, but really in color is another nice avenue for me to explore also.
Your diary was well worth waiting for, [a lady`s privilege] & believe me I kept looking for it.
Wonderful! Even the background is lovely. Interesting also how the stamens open before the petals as seen in the bud. Mr. Bee is gorgeous in his own right.
These are all fantastic. I like the way you put in the aperture/focal length and exposure. I need to get around to experimenting more with that and keeping track of how the results turn out. This diary is definitely an inspiration!
What are you shooting with? Those are awesome! The morning glory is my favorite. I think to get some better pics, I should learn my camera and get some patience.

Olivia, this is magnificent. It’s like a background for a Michelangelo painting. I keep looking for god and adam.
Like the Michaelangelo reference. Fits.
Nice job on all your pictures.
It’s great to see you here!

The back of a leaf.
Lines, edges, shadows — yay! And I love the magnifying effect of the water droplets.

Ah yes. Autumn in the midwest with winter rumblings in the sky. Lovely!
You seem to get the best pictures out driving. Like the colors.
Our’s changed so fast this year, I didn’t get any good fall pictures.

Words fail me. It must have taken you forever to pick out all the leaves in the middle so the remaining leaves frame the tree reflection 🙂
Seriously, you’ve made me look at the world around me differently.
thanks maryb … that’s a cool thing to be accused of 🙂

Your photos like this have changed the way I look at flowers. Thanks.
You’ve helped me tremendously as well. I probably would have returned the D70s if it weren’t for your timely instructions.
Oh my! Exquisite in its simplicity. My words are not good enough for this photo. I love the little white globs dropping off the stamens.
I liked those too … 🙂

Thanks to JimF, who helped me when I first started using the D70s, I realize the usefulness of that info. It has helped me learn to use the camera.
Fabulous as always!!!!!
it’s good to see you back!
You are a true artist.
I think we have a lot of artists here … the photos are wonderful 🙂
All very wonderful photos, Olivia! And I agree with Kali, you are a true artist.
I’ve been so eager to see your selections… you’ve picked the best of the best!
[Although, due to the diary’s “delay”, I was close to calling the RCMP to check up on you:)]
it was touch and go … 🙂

I was using a nikon d70s. It has taken me some time to learn the ins and outs and some of the specifics. 🙂
