Hi Man E and everyone (?),
I’m at curly’s and we’re busy watching Keith Olbermann.
He debunked the Kerry-flap very well.
Just hoping he’ll cover the Allen-campaign’s assault on Mike Stark as well.
I’m watching Keith too. I love when you all change your clocks cuz it shifts my programs later an hour and I can actually watch them live (we don’t do the daylight savings thing here in Az, we have enough)
This year I am foregoing my traditional Halloween garb — my everyday clothes with an explanation, “I’m a homicidal maniac — they look just like everybody else” — and I think I’ll follow Jason Fox’s lead in being the second scariest thing he can think of.
We tried to attend Drinking Liberally in Palo Alto in October and couldn’t figure out where the DL crowd was among the groups in the place. Also, while Antonio’s Nut House is a fabulous dive bar, so we had a good time anyway, it seemed noisy. Ah, the joys of middle age…
I went to the parade on Sunday. They interviewed Tony before it and he said that he was really excited about having a parade because when he won in Oakland they didn’t have a parade (because of the earthquake?) And he was thrilled because he got to sit on top of the Budweiser beer wagon next to the dalmation 🙂
After all these years I’m still not quite used to the idea that baseball here isn’t the world’s largest beer commercial (it’s the worlds largest cars and financial services commercial instead).
It’s not as bad as it was when AB owned the team. Of course now we have Mr. Republican, Bush Crony Bill DeWitt.
Wonder how he felt about this on Sunday at the celebration:
The Cardinals World Series victory parade and rally was filled with cheers for just about everybody – from the skipper to the bat boy – except one person: Gov. Matt Blunt.
Blunt was the first public official to speak at the ballpark rally on Sunday, and his introduction was greeted by a round of boos. The smattering of jeers did not come from everybody, but it was clearly audible.
The only good thing that comes from the election being over is that I can study a lot more on the weekends. With regards to blogging, I have to figure out if I’ll continue to post sporadically, or if I’ll just stop completely until the end of the semester.

That’s what I’m waiting for. Oh, and Laura Bush’s attack on Michael J FOx.
Well, that and for the CBs to return from trick or treating so I can have an Almond Joy.
Hi CG,
You guys obviously made it back safely in the rain last Friday. Great Chihuly-entry for the phOtofair (though we did get a preview).
Video-link in case you have not seen it.
OK. Enough politics – we’re also enjoying an Italian Primitivo/Cabernet blend.
I just put up a diary — Mike Stark will press charges against George Allen.
It’s short, but it’s newsworthy.
This year I am foregoing my traditional Halloween garb — my everyday clothes with an explanation, “I’m a homicidal maniac — they look just like everybody else” — and I think I’ll follow Jason Fox’s lead in being the second scariest thing he can think of.
So I go to Drinking Liberally tonight, and Booman and CabinGirl don’t show up! Losers… 😛
BooMan didn’t show up either?
Hey, I was there last week. I get a free pass on this week.
I hope you drank enough for three then. Although that might be difficult. CG can really put them away …
Speaking of which, when’s the next meetup? 🙂
I don’t know — when SHOULD it be?
Soon, of course.
Y’all just tell me where and when 🙂

How about them Cardinals?
Can you believe they WON THE WORLD SERIES?
Un-be-freakin-lievable! Loved every minute. Now maybe Cards fans can get off LaRussa’s case, at least for the winter.
But what would we do instead?

He looked like he was having a ball up there.

People who saw it on TV said the boos were really loud 🙂
Heh…I didn’t drink anything because I’m currently taking medication for the cold I have.
See what happens when you let yourself get run down?
I can’t wait for next Tuesday to be over. Much too much to do.

I think you should tell yourself you’ll stop completely. Then when you blog anyway you’ll discover that failure isn’t really that bad 😉
