Looking really bad. I keep using the excuse of my back for not doing it, but that’s getting old now. But one good thing is the leaves and pine cone and needle are falling and the neighbors look almost as bad.
Of course by this weekend theirs will look nice and mine will still look the same. God I want a snow storm! 🙂
I’ve got a lawn sweeper I can hook up behind the riding lawnmower and I’ll probably do that this weekend. But it’s certainly not conducive to a slackerly lifestyle.
I was reading about it today. Housing is very bad now, many new homes are unsold. There are ghost towns of new homes near Phoenix, for example. I don’t think that gas will go up much for a while.
I would think they’ll move up but slowly. It seems that things are getting bad now. Car sales are down recently and consumer debt (excluding housing debt) is up. This week’s NYT business section was not a happy place this week.
Ah, the good old days when I could while away the hours in the café! The insane workload I’ve had the past few months has really worn me down, but at least I’ve had a nice uptick in mood since Tuesday night, for obvious reasons. I meant to make it here for Halloween, but was so slackerly that week (bum’s vacation, finally) I didn’t manage, so here’s my late contribution … a pic of Pepa the Democratic Devil Dog keeping an eye out for roaming wingnuts on trick or treat night.
Sorry I missed you all, FM, B2 and Mary!
Btw, Mary, glad to see McCaskill made it the other night — we were rooting for her! Though I was very very very very disappointed to see her tell Tweety tonight that she would vote for Bolton! At least Shrub is going to try to ram that one through before she’s actually in office, but still… I hope that doesn’t mean we have to scrutinize her every vote.
Anybody else thrilled to see the arrival (finally!) of the Macacalypse today? THAT made my day!
I finally found the 24/7 cafe!
Anybody around?
Geeze you open one new cafe and everybody splits.
Is everybody still on the old time.
Aye, aye, FM.
Hi Boran. I was beginning to feel alone here.
Unfortunately I don’t get here often enough.
I know, but it’s good to see you anytime you’ve got time to stop by.
Thanks. How’s the lawn?

Ealier this year I got a self-powered 7hp Husqvarna. I just mulch the leaves. The lawn looks good and I don’t have to pick up leaves.

Autumn is not a good time for slackers.
Hi B2. Isn’t it hard to go back to work when you have a Tuesday off?
Hi Mary! It wasn’t too hard because of the observed holiday tomorrow. A 3 day week!
What holiday is observed tomorrow?
Veteran’s day. Saturday is the actual holiday.
Of course. duh.
Yet to some everyday is a holiday. 🙂
Slacker.
Wouldn’t be anything else. 🙂
We wouldn’t want you any other way.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the dead of winter is the best time of the year. Lawn wise that is. 🙂
Hey where’d everyone go? I’m done watching Grey’s Anatomy but now ER is on. Thursday is such a good night for TV – I feel like a slug.
I just finished watching CSI and I don’t watch ER.
I don’t watch any of them. Although I did watch Grey’s Anatomy its first season.
For me it’s Survivor night.
I’ve started watching Heroes and always My Name Is Earl.
Anything new on Discovery, TLC or History I’ll watch, but they show so many re-runs.
Yep. Apparently the economics of cable mean running a show 12 times.
I can see a class action suit for the manfacturer of tv remotes in the future. Carpal Tunnel from channel surfing.
BTW this is OT, but how much longer until the gas prices go up. I’m say in a months time.
Not with housing in the toilet. The bubble has burst.
So you’re saying gas won’t go up because of housing?
I was reading about it today. Housing is very bad now, many new homes are unsold. There are ghost towns of new homes near Phoenix, for example. I don’t think that gas will go up much for a while.
Do you think the price won’t go up BECAUSE of the housing bubble burst? Or just because the oil companies will take the prices up more slowly?
I would think they’ll move up but slowly. It seems that things are getting bad now. Car sales are down recently and consumer debt (excluding housing debt) is up. This week’s NYT business section was not a happy place this week.
Ugh. Must preview.
It does make sense.
Didn’t they start going up yesterday. I thought I read that somewhere.
I’m just wondering how long before it’s $3.00 a gallon again. I’m saying a month.
It is now past my bedtime.
I’ll see ya’ll tomorrow.
Good night, FM!
Good night all!
