Which reminds me of a question I once got from a student psychology major back in my first go-round at university (I think I was about 21 at the time). She asked if I was “a practising lesbian.” To which I replied, “no, I was done practicing and had moved on to the really good stuff.” I bet she never asked that question again.
LOL. I’m going to add this to my list of stupid questions/statements that students have made about sex. I think psych classes have a magnetic appeal for the uh… I just don’t know how to describe persons like this, but I find at least one in every intro course.
This past week’s gem: (we are now at adolescence in my course in human development):
Young woman: “Is sex the same for Black people as it is for white people?”
Response from older man at back of room, with full Barry White-sounding voice: “No, it’s much, much better.”
We, who live west of the Rockies, even WAY west, should band together to have our own late cafe. Come to think of it, I guess we already have one….no one here but us farwesters.
Hi Puget,
I saw your comment over at Olivia`s. It`s quite surprising how much her shot reminded me of the same thing. Here`s what I perceived you to mean.
I’m still up, and in the process of figuring out what to make for dinner.
Luna is currently at the front door making a fuss in an effort to get me to take her for a walk. So maybe it’s walk then dinner. I’m thinking green bean and tofu tempura for dinner, which doesn’t take very long, once you make the batter.
I’m still up also although not for long. Green bean and tofu tempura sounds lovely. Gooserock has invented a Hearty Hot and Sour Soup which is lovely too. You can make it vegetarian or vegan or use fish, it’s all delicious. We don’t eat any meat or meat products but we do eat fish.
I use a NIKON 5400 Coolpix.
I call him “TOMMY”, because he`s a “Tomato Clownfish”
So he`s “Tommy Tomato”.
The anemone he`s in, is a “Rose Bubble Tipped Anemone” or, RBTA.
Her name is “Annie Anemone”.
In a Country Western song, they`re “Tom n` Annie”.
Like this,
“Tommy & Annie were lovers,
Oh how you could tell.
Lala lalalala, lalalalala, la la….
I hope you`re feeling better. Did you see my idea of your pic from yesterday, in terms of an underwater comparison?
This is a shot of competing species. The small tentacles are “Sweepers” from the green “Galaxea”.
As the Anemone grows larger, which it is at an amazing pace, I`ll have to move the Galaxea to another location, otherwise the anemone will kill it.
Right now, their “Kill Zones” are about to overlap.
in case anybody is feeling chatty.
Night.
Not feeling particularly chatty, but it is only mid-day here.
Since I’m trying to dry laundry on the line, we’re getting the occassional one minute squall.
I knew some people wouldn’t be able to wait.
Maybe they’re just practicing.

Hi Knuckle. Yes! That’s it! Small world and land version and a deep see version. I love it!
Anyone still up?

Give Luna a hug for me.
Please don`t eat this one.

Sooo beautiful! What’s the name of the little fish? What kind of camera do you use? Thanks for posting.

This is very interesting … thanks for always explaining how it works. I’m picking it up slowly. 🙂
