Morning Miss Andi!!! I am hoping to day goes a lot better than yesterday. LOL I did create a new section at one fo the stores and do some clean up work on others.

Have you gone out to make sure the car starts yet? 🙂
LOL Yes I have.
I just went over to look at your new section — very nice, especially the loving family t-shirt.
Thank you!!!! I am gearing up for the problems we know are coming in the Texas Legislature again this year. Two Representatives try and outlaw gay adoption and gay foster parents every session.
Good morning Andi and Refinish. It’s a glorious Tuesday isn’t it.
I believe the consensus is that it can be glorious only if it is chitlin free.
Morning FamilyMan!!! I don’t know wbout glorious but it has got to be better than yesterday. LOL
I am heading out to get ready for work. Have a great day!!!!
Good morning everybody!
It’s a glorious Tuesday here. Kids off to school already, warm-ish weather, got a walk planned with friends this am.
Too bad I have to work later. 🙂
Where are you going to walk — some place new or just around the homestead?
Just the usual 5 mile loop around the ‘neighborhood’, but I’ve been so busy with other stuff (ie, the surly squirrelly teenager) that I haven’t had much opportunity to walk lately.
And we’re having 50+ degree weather for the rest of the week, so I am psyched.
Are you walking later in the day now?
I hope you can get out all this week and enjoy the warm weather.
Yeah I’m walking at noon during the week — I suppose it’s a better break but I miss my morning walks.
And even more exciting: the tree guy and the stump grinder guy are already here this morning to clean up the perimeter of my yard!
Time to get my walking shoes on. See you in a bit.
Good morning all. I have poop duty today and I also have to brave the post office unless I can figure out the usps site and how to pay and print postage for packages.
Is the post office that bad already — seems really early for big crowds. I hope not as I’ve got to make a trip in this week?
The one near me is bad on any random day, but the month before Christmas is out-the-door lines and a wait of at least a half hour.
Supposedly you can pay and print your postage and then call for a free pickup. I’m trying to figure out how that works if you don’t have a postage scale.
I’m sure you have to weigh them. Got a kitchen scale?
Our post office has postage machines that you can use to weigh and print postage in a lobby that is open 24 hours a day which is a great way to avoid the crowds. My experience is that the hours 9-10 are also a good time to avoid crowds.
Morning, folks. Quick idea. Compare the weight to something of known weight, such as cans of food. Make a conservative estimate. You’ll probably pay a bit more, but balance that against no lines.
Miss O, I’d just like to step in here & compliment you on the fantastic photo above. I do believe it’s one of my favorites of yours. Truly gorgeous! Wow.
Here’s another view of it just for you … 😉
Oh, my!! That’s a very, very special photograph. I see so much in it — mystery, mortality, delicacy, eternity & of course, natural beauty. Golly. Thank you!
Your images are a rush, I tell you.
Hope you’re doing well today, o purveyor. I’d imagine you’re at work, no? How’s the weather?
Ah the weather … it is — of course — cloudy. We’re averaging about one day of sun a week right now. And today was the day we were supposed to get sun … :/
Very morose-inducing. And it’s supposed to warm right up tomorrow – 45F. Weird weather indeed.
How ’bout you … did you have a good sleep last night? Having a good day?
Oh, dear — do hope you see some sunny days soon. I’ll be looking out for it in weather reports on your behalf. Morose is no fun.
As for me, I’m sure I repeat myself by saying that I could do without continual sun. I guess variety really is key for us humans.
I’m sleeping well, thank you & any day when I’m not dripping sweat is a good one for me. Generally the heat makes me lazy, however & for a wilderness critter like me, continually sitting about does make me morose.
Obviously!
😉
BTW, I haven’t caught up to the Canadian blog vote. Did you take the award?
you could send some sun, I could send some cool breezes. 🙂
Nope on the b award … I came in 5/5. It was a riot though, being nominated and getting into the fifth spot.
We’ll just have to try harder next time.
🙂
Let’s see if we can’t try & exchange a little weather, too. We need to ask our own Wonderful Weather Wizard, FM, to wave his magic newspaper for us. He’s done incredible work for me in the Catskills – he seems to have special strength against gloom.
I wonder if a little respectful pleading will bring FM into our midst?
O slackerly wizard, enthroned in a hammock
The northern & southern poles float in a flummox
Have mercy, O lazybones, upon we pondlings askew
Wave your thundrous newspaper against the dank blue
& also the pink mottled skies of the tropics
Lest we resign joy to the weather myopic!
We beg thee, O wizard, to wave thy great print
Come into our presence
(You don’t need to sprint).
I don’t know what will … you have a wonderful way w/ words ww … 🙂
It’s the caffeine — but thank you.
😉
A bit of a breeze has picked up here & the sun’s gone in. Hmmm.
And you know what … the sun is peeking out here through a very mall gap in the clouds! It worked … 🙂
I’ll have to post it later tonight to show you … 🙂
Wow! Talk about the Supreme Slacker — he didn’t even have to show up!
LOL
He certainly is very good at slacking … I’d say I aspire to that level, but that would be a lot of work … and that goes entirely against the slacking creed. 🙂
Yep — iirc, the First Commandment of Slacking is: don’t try.
Which is why FM’s the master. He’s brilliant!
On that note, my dear Miss O, it’s time for me to take a(nother) shower. Just as well, before we bust the margins totally.
Definitely hope I’ll see you later!
I’ve already seen unusually long lines at the regional PO here — where Christmas isn’t even real!
I see it’s the usual erudite topics under discussion.
Halloooo from Wednesday morning. I’ve got more plumbing to do today. This time for it’s for Imogen’s mum. She needs a bathroom sink installed and a vent stack put through the roof (which will be the difficult and messy part). Have silicon, will travel.
After which, I have got my weekly massage, followed by a run by the feed store on way home.
roadkill duty (how’s that for one-upping poop?). We’ve go three dead animals on the road that runs along our front boundry. This has Luna barking a lot because she’s upset that she can’t get to them to eat them (or at least roll in them). The barking was especially problematic at bed-time last night.
Hey, keres. I don’t know if you seen it, but I’m writing some fictional backstories for the Frog pond crowd. The link is in my signature location. I have a place where a fictionalized version of “keres” would be very useful. This “keres” would be like a comic caricature of you as seen through your postings here. If you would like more information off-line, send a email to the address from the BooDay Project website or to the address on my user page. Or say yes or no here. It’s up to you. I don’t want to include anybody that doesn’t want to play.
Life is mostly fiction anyway. You have my blessing.
Just got back the MD’s and it’s official, the little people got me. I’ve been trapped in a roomful of hacking, wheezing, sneezing, sniffling kids for two months now and they finally brought me low. At this point my body has been taken over and 95% of its function is to produce and excrete what polite circles refer to as nasal discharge. Must rest. Will stop back during happy hour if I’m awake. I’ll be the feverish guy in the mask.
Sorry to hear that Teach. As someone with allergies I know far too much about the production of phlegm and related mucus
We’re having chili and I think I might have put too many jalepenos in it this time. Oh well – we’ll all have drippy noses, the better to flush out any viruses hiding there.
it should be a perfect day for soup but we aren’t having that.
I couldn’t kick my last bout of The Walking Ick, I never received the guaranteed cure.
in school. He’s telling me which president is on each coin and who’s on the dollar bill. He has it cold except for the penny…..that’s President Lincolnton. At this point as his mother I will neither confirm or deny who is on the penny because it’s too damn cute and if he has everybody else down halfway through 1st grade he isn’t in danger of failing as an American consumer. He very knowingly though held up a dollar bill and told me that was how George Washington really looked, not like what is on the quarter ;).
If he’s more interested in the images than the amounts, then I guess there’s a better chance he’ll end up as an artist rather than an accountant.
Quarters are a baffling 25 pennies and 25 + 25 = Mom, what’s 25 + 25?
those are big numbers for a first grader.
