Hanukkah is over at sunset tomorrow.
so this is the last night of partying?
it’s the last night for olivia to give me pencils with my name on them for Hanukkah, pencil in her case is a post on her blog about her plans for her garden.
with a picture of her garden from last year? Did Olivia ever post that and I missed it?

She allowed her womb to be invaded by a spirit in return for the kid sleeping? She must have been drinking too much eggnog.
the womb invasion was non-negotiable.
The tradeoff was she got a GOOD baby and in return she told no one ANYTHING about his life after infancy. Unfortunately he had that small running away episode when he was 12 that made the papers … but it wasn’t MARY who wrote about it.
I always wondered why we hear nothing about him except for the running away at age 12 thing. Maybe since he was a minor his record was sealed.
if she didn’t get a good baby she was going to tell everyone every detail and say that he was a devil child, like most parents do. 🙂

No. Is it a christian comic book?
it’s funny. It’s about Jesus’ “lost years” — before he hits age 30. It’s full title is Lamb: The Gospel according to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal.
He’s not a Christian writer. He also wrote one called “The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove” about a community who has all of their anti-psychotic medications replaced by placebos. It’s pretty funny too. I’m going to use the title for charades on Christmas.
He’s a fun writer.
I read Fluke — about the fake whale. It was a little weird. He definitely has an imagination.
is still my favorite of all his books.
maybe I’ll put it on my bookclub list.

But we were shopping for Cabin the younger. We even got trucks with a cool design on them, and the board has a panda on it…and orange wheels.
I think I’m pretty much done shopping now, except my mom wanted me to pick something out for each of them from her. And I don’t have extra ideas this year.
Isn’t it sort of creepy the useless things we all know about each other?

LOL Ready for them to be over. I am not celebrating in anyway this year so I could care less. LOL
Well, at least you get an extra day off from work, even if you aren’t celebrating, right?
No I volunteered to work Christmas day. LOL
That was really nice of you. Waaay back when I worked at the hospital, we had a guy who was happy to work on Christmas because he was Eastern orthodox and didn’t celebrate till January. It was great because nobody ever had to worry about getting stuck working the holiday.
working Holidays means extra money for me and not sitting home being a sad sack over things I cannot control. LOL

You are welcome. I never go home for holidays. My Mom is my best friend but I only half way like my brother and cannot stand the woman he is married to. Why add holiday stress into a visit home. LOL
Oh, that’s sad that it keeps you away! Maybe they should go to the bahamas for christmas and let you visit your mom. How long has it been since you’ve seen her?
I hate to admit it has been 4 years since I saw her. I am planning on starting to go home at least twice a year as of next year but will not do holidays even then becuase of expense. LOL
Poor Mom! I could give her a hug for you. 🙂
We talk all the time and she sort of understand. LOL
She’s just being nice because she loves you. You need to get home to see her. After the holidays.
If I could afford to, I would be there. When things get a little more stable I will be going home. I feel guilty enough about this as it is and miss her more than I can ever say.

It’s a shame none of the Hanukkah songs showed up on either of our holiday lists since tonight is the last night.
I will admit I do not have any Chanukah music. When I broke up with the nice Jewish boy many years ago, I gave the music to him. LOL
I don’t have any Hanukkah CD’s but there are some songs on some of the holiday CD’s. I think Barenakedladies has a hanukkah song on their holiday CD.
