Glad to see you too. Had way to much family here to get near the computer for a few days. I hope you had a good Christmas.
BTW I’m no longer a weather wizard. It was predicted for a little snow here last night. I went out and did my dances and chants, but alas, only a wet mist. 🙂
FM, I continue to trust in your undiminished powers. Obviously, the holiday prevented you from slacking properly & you were weary. Weary weather wizards will sometimes wither in wet weather.
Thanks you WW. All today between extreme napping, eating cake and cookies and taking George out the power might be back by next month. I can only hope. 🙂
Well, I have moved so many times that pictures have been lost, destroyed, chewed up by dogs and god knows what else. Also as Andi can testify, I am horrible about even taking pictures. When I went to study in London for a winter term during college I did not even take a camera with me. LOL
Here are a few photos I took when I went home these last couple of days to show Andi and ww the woods that I grew up in … I wasn’t always a city gal. 🙂
You’ll notice the lack of snow — we should have about 2ft this time of year. And it was very grey.
The view out the front window.
This little pond is one of the places where I learned to (ice) skate.
Very nice. It looks a lot like the woods that surround a local lake. I love the feeling of walking on a bed of soft pine needles, and the whisper of the pines overhead.
Yeah but I’m talking Southern pines. Olivia showed Southern Cdn pines and you were talking Southern U.S. pines. Not those icky nothern pines. pfftt back at ya. 🙂
I feel like Dr. Doolittle once Eliza finally sounds the way he wants her to. She’s got it! Now when you finally admit to saying ya’ll, I’ll know the transformation is complete. 🙂
Those are just lovely, Miss O! Is this very far from where you are now? What a beautiful place.
I can see how you developed your excellent eye for nature’s gifts. Thanks so much for sharing even more with us!
I’m sorry I missed you before Christmas Day. Hope you had a wonderful time!
I gotta go. George is having another bout with the big D and needs to go outside for awhile. It’s 33 F here right now so hopefully we won’t be out for long.
Here’s hoping you see some flurries out there, FM. Dress warm!
Sorry to hear about poor George. Sounds like someone slipped him something from the Christmas table that they shouldn’t have!
Make sure he gets his fluids.
Alas, it seems to be my turn to bid you all good night. You may say I’m a geezer, but I’m not the only one.
Have a wonderful evening, o pond-mates! See you soon.
or maybe just a little bit of wine?
Hi Andi.
If that’s the wine cask I’m thinking of, I think I’ve been there before.
A little deja vin, eh?
I’ve missed seeing you since before Christmas, FM! Please accept belated holiday tidings. Hope your Christmas Day was joyful!

🙂
Our Miami Beach Christmas was just fine, though the Chinese restaurant we visited for dinner was absolutely mobbed.
that’s cause chinese rest are about the only ones open on Cgristmas. LOL
You should’ve seen the velvet ropes at Wolfie Cohen’s Rascal House! It looked like retirees’ night at Studio 54.
Thanks you WW. All today between extreme napping, eating cake and cookies and taking George out the power might be back by next month. I can only hope. 🙂
Let’s hope that by next month your magic won’t be necessary!
I’m hoping, but a little magic never hurt either.
Is from somewhere in Germany so you might very well have.
I seem to see a gentleman with a dog right under the spigot there ..
and a funnel LOL
It’s from the castle in Heidelberg. Yes I’ve been there, but the cask was empty. 🙁
I’m sure it was empty by the time you left. 😉
Well it did hold 58,573 US gallons. So yeah that’s within my realm. 🙂
The picture Second Nature never wanted to come to light. LOL
snort
LOL Thought you would like that one.
Mercy me! Talk about monkish fantasies!
ROTFLMAO!!!! At least I found a picture where some of the clothes were still on. This is a family blog.
God, I’m luscious!
Yes, you are darling!!!!!
What could possibly top that? My birthday can end now and I’ll go to bed happy.
Hope your bad news is nothing you can’t handle.
LOL I can think of a few things but…..
Ah even better — Colin can have a sleepover!
I think Miss Andi tops us all for being the perv this evening. LOL
that’s so sweet of you to say.
I aims to please. LOL
Andi’s in truly excellent form this evening, I must say.
Andi is the greatest, you have to admit.
makes everything spicy.
Colin is having a sleepover. Sadly, it’s at Jackson’s house.
no need to send the rest of the family out for a drive — now only you need to take one.
I guess we can all be glad you decided not to have kids, Andi. 🙂
huh, if only I’d thought about this excuse before, I could have saved myself years of nagging by my mother.
But you’re completely right about guys not being seasoned until after 30 or so. But we can look.
look but don’t touch — the story of my life. 🙁
Mine is look but don’t eat. Even worse. 🙁
Have him take a camera. LOL
The truth comes to life, Hah!
Well, Inquiring minds wanted to know. LOL
That looks a little like my twentieth year. Since then I’ve been boringly good. 🙁
LOL I have to admit that I am damn glad that most of the pictures from my youth have dissapeared a long time ago!!!!!
Quite a few of mine are under lock & key in an undisclosed location. Most of the rest have been burned to protect the guilty.
Well, I have moved so many times that pictures have been lost, destroyed, chewed up by dogs and god knows what else. Also as Andi can testify, I am horrible about even taking pictures. When I went to study in London for a winter term during college I did not even take a camera with me. LOL
take the pictures, they are quite fine so you can’t use me as your excuse.
I meant as my back up for me being slack about taking pictures.
but I got you to go do the diary for the photofair so I’m not your backup, I’m your nemesis. 🙂
LOL Okay
Somehow I suspect you had plenty to occupy you otherwise.
😉
Yes I did and I met him the first day in London and dated him the entire time I was there. I almost didn’t come home. LOL
My daughter just saw this pic and was traumatized by it.
ROTFLMAO!!!!! She just wishes it were her in it. LOL
That would traumatize me. But she said the men in the pic are gay and she can’t understand why they’re groping me.
Here are a few photos I took when I went home these last couple of days to show Andi and ww the woods that I grew up in … I wasn’t always a city gal. 🙂

Hi Miss Olivia!!!!!!!! Beautful photos as always
Beautiful Olivia. It looks the same as down here. But then again, you are a Southern Canadian. 🙂
in either place right … just have to remember when to use ya’ll and when to use eh … eh? 😉
Very nice. It looks a lot like the woods that surround a local lake. I love the feeling of walking on a bed of soft pine needles, and the whisper of the pines overhead.
Gee that sounds pretty Southern to me, ya’ll. 😉
Very true. We certainly don’t have pine trees and lakes up north. pfftt.
Yeah but I’m talking Southern pines. Olivia showed Southern Cdn pines and you were talking Southern U.S. pines. Not those icky nothern pines. pfftt back at ya. 🙂
Those icky, rude, fast-talking northern pines with no appreciation for chitlins and pimento cheese.
I feel like Dr. Doolittle once Eliza finally sounds the way he wants her to. She’s got it! Now when you finally admit to saying ya’ll, I’ll know the transformation is complete. 🙂
Nevah!
very, very soft … 🙂
Talk about peaceful, SN. You’ve got it, right there.
Those are just lovely, Miss O! Is this very far from where you are now? What a beautiful place.
I can see how you developed your excellent eye for nature’s gifts. Thanks so much for sharing even more with us!
I’m sorry I missed you before Christmas Day. Hope you had a wonderful time!
it’s 4.5hrs away … so not close at all. 🙂
The thing is, I didn’t appreciate it growing up. You take it for granted I guess – well, I did anyway.
I’m very happy that it’s possible for you to return!
We add our experience to what we see, too — it’s bound to be different.
that’s a beautiful country road.
just wanted to show you why I crave your woodland wonderland photos … 🙂
and the folks living in it crave you so apparently it’s mutual lust. 😉
All woods fit my fancy. And that picture of the road makes me want to go stroll down it.
I’d be truly thrilled if the three of us could do that. Wouldn’t that be fun?
and memorable … 🙂
Absolutely and completely. I wish I could make it happen.
(and I wouldn’t even yell at you when you went off with the pack to chase the squirrels)
Given the company, I’m sure I’d be able to control myself.
I am exhausted and am going to bed early. Thanks for the laughs tonight because I really needed them. I love you all.
Night Refinish. Sleep tight.
smoochies, rf.
Many peaceful dreams, refinish. See you tomorrow.
Take care. Snuggle with the diva dogs. Have pleasant dreams.
I gotta go. George is having another bout with the big D and needs to go outside for awhile. It’s 33 F here right now so hopefully we won’t be out for long.
Here’s hoping you see some flurries out there, FM. Dress warm!

My screen keeps pooping out and going black and then resetting itself and it’s becoming bothersome.
Thanks everyone for the fine company and the birthday wishes. It’s been one of the best birthdays in recent memory.
🙂
Thank you for sharing the day with us, SN. Have a great evening!
Best wishes to Ryan for her unveiling. Tell her not to fret about what’s revealed.
Will do. 🙂
Have a wonderful birthday evening and night too SN!
Alas, it seems to be my turn to bid you all good night. You may say I’m a geezer, but I’m not the only one.
Have a wonderful evening, o pond-mates! See you soon.
I’m off to bed too but here a new cafe for those who still want to party.
