Penn State won. Now all I need is for Michigan to win and I’ll be off to a great start to the new year. How are your teams doing? Everyone recovering from your celebrations? We had a nice get together this afternoon over at Susie Madrak’s place.

About to go see ‘The Good Shepherd’ at the local theater. After that, probably back to reviewing some of my notes.
Hope everyone at BMT had a Happy New Year!
What’s up with you pulling for Michigan? Betting interest? Anti-USC? An irrational attraction to wolverines?
i beat 3 boys in the last 24 hours….i spent an hour in a hot bubbly jacuzzi….i cut my foot trying to give my own damn self a pedicure…….and we just drove back thru horrible traffic from the poconos where we didnt even see any snow….just fog.
im going to bed.
i feel old….new years celebrations used to last till midnight when i was growing up in south philly and lived on 2 street….now its 7pm and im ready for bed.
i hope everyone has a great 2007.
If you are ever near Philadelphia on New Years, DON’T miss the Mummers New Years Day Parade. Its ostensibly 8 hours long, but if you live on 2 Street, where many of the Mumming club houses are located, you can expect a parade of drunk, golden sneaker-wearing and dancing men playing banjos ‘mumming’ from early morning and going to all hours of the night.
This year’s parade was rained out, but thanks to a special benefactor, I got a hold of 3 tickets to the sold out Convention Center show. I love my city!

a wild card spot because Denver lost? That just blows my mind!
Well, I’m a Big Ten gal – the Hawkeyes are my favorite disappointment ;-), so I was sad to see Michigan lose. The Hawks didn’t fare as bad as I thought they would against Texas, although a win would have made my day.
And OU is losing to Boise State : ) (I used to work at OU and know too much about the athletic department to ever cheer the Sooners on…)
It’s cold and icy here in the high plains. Is it summer yet?
are more than I can bear. Happy for you and your Lions, Booman.
Living in Michigan, I am fed up to the gills with UM and MSU. And having lived in Iowa City, the Hawkeyes absorb light there, too. Having had arm twisted to pass three different, shall we say, occasional students, I am not much impressed by their football apparatus, whatever their success.
OMG – did anybody watch the Fiesta Bowl?! I have never seen a game like that one.
And, go Chargers!
