How many of you are back at work or school? At least it is a short week, right?

At least it is a short week, right?
That’s about the only consolation…
It was too much of a shock – I left early today, just back home.
I took Mon-Tues off. Don’t go back until Wed. But I already worked about 60 hours last week, so I don’t really feel it’s time off….
Short week. The relatives have departed, the party is over . . .
In my line of work there is not time off. I had only the 1st off and am back to the grind again. I am so glad the holidays are over and done with. It was really beginning to be a big chore to do all the shopping and still work. At my age, I need to start slowing down instead of increasing activity…:o)
Yes, 4 days as the underappreciated civil servant, not 5.
I’ve been off since December 1st when I had knee surgery. I haven’t even been on-line in all that time. So today is a bit of a milestone. I’m back to work and while I’m glad to be out of the house, I sure wish I was home! :>)
Good to see everyone here again. A whole month without news has been both interesting and relaxing.
I wondered how your surgery was going. Glad to see you checking in. Happy New Year to you and the KamaKid! paz
im back to work tomorrow
getting my toys and the camera all ready to go
I might have showed up at work this Saturday.
and considering the attendance habits of some of my co-workers, I may not have caught on for awhile.
No more work at the bookstore? It is really a short week with the gov’t being closed.
My first full day as an elected public servant. My staff and I had no computer access until around noon when the county IT guy got done setting up new UID’s and passwords for us. There were some very scary dust bunnies behind my monitor that looked as if they could easily kill and devour small animals. At least they left me my initials on the keyboards.
and wishing it was a 365-day weekend.
National Day of Mourning for Ford means the local post office is closed and I can’t mail orders to customers. I’ll catch up after the extra-extra-long weekend tomorrow morning.
We were off yesterday so yes a shortened week. Got not much done today-went to a party last night and stayed too long waiting for something to happen that didn’t. Then had anxiety attacks at home until 1:30am. It’s raining enormously right now and I feel like hell-snuck off and laid down in an empty classroom for a while. Off to the acupuncturist now, hoping he can help me regain some balance in my health.

You would think that after what the Dems have had to endure for the last 6 years nationally and what seems like forever in PA legislative politics, that the last thing Dems would do is lose their hard won edge by fracturing apart in favor of a Repub Speaker in a now ?? Dem House. I mean WTF is going on, and what chance for real change do dems and specifically progressives ever have if when they do win power, they immediately give it back. WTF again!
Is this a precursor for similar fiascoes on the federal level??
