Morning Miss Andi!!!So farno ice but it is raining and only 34 degrees and the temperature is dropping instead of warming up. LOL I am still working on the designs. I still have a few to do as I got busy chatting lasy night and reading dairies. LOL
I’m dealing with some early morning jealous as jim is still asleep because he has the MLK holiday off and I don’t. Maybe I should volunteer him to do some designs for you. 🙂
I have done 25 statesand with each there are 5 images I amke to uplaod. I also did this version for one state that I will go back and do for each state also. With just the design from yesterday and this one it will be 500 images created and uploaded to the site. LOL
Temp has dropped to 32 and I refuse to drive in this mess. I am staying home. They are saying bbridges are already icing over and I have to drive over several on my way to work and just will not take the chance. They are saying the ice will only get worse during the day.
Unfortunately, neither of us are off today! So we’re on
our way out the door :-(.
The cb french toast was great – thanks – but sounds like you’re raising the bar with strawberry filled. Is that
one on epicurious too? Bloging with you is very tasty, but getting very fattening! 🙂
I’m sure the people at OB are very well prepared of all kinds of weather. Good tents are very nice and warm. And there’s a nice kind of comaraderie that develops when you’re hiking in bad weather — we’ve had some of our best conversations with people we’ve met on the trail in those conditions.
I know, I know. I keep thinking about how cozy my Moss tent has been in heavy storms (the only thing I wouldn’t negotiate about at all in my divorce!). And it won’t hurt him to be cold once in his life. But I still worry a little bit.
And like you said, there’s that whole bonding thing when you’re slogging through deep mud (or slipping on ice ?) together for days.
Even more gorgeous if that’s possible, but the bottom is due to fall out tomorrow.
This morning I stood in the back yard and watched a redtail hawk circle around overhead calling out. Then he just stopped in mid-air, perfectly motionless with his wings spread wide, and rode a thermal for about a solid minute directly overhead. Wow. Wow.
Morning Ask. Sorry the weather is miserable. I am being over cautious this am but as temps are suppsoe to keep dropping during the day I see no need to get 37 miles from home today. LOL
It’s been raining for five days here and it’s not going to stop until Tuesday. I cannot remember a winter that was this wet (let alone this warm) — I seem to have moved from a forest to a swamp without actually going anywhere. Yuck.
temp has dropped top 30 already I think I made the right decision to stay home. I would have gotten over to Austin and then maybe not be able to make it home. They are saying it will get worse later today and tonight.
I don’t know. Probably one in Birmingham, so about 2 hours away. I tried to talk the guy that owns the Dew Drop Inn to put it in, but he said a pool table is too high flalooten for him. 🙂
I am glad you, Fmom and the critters are okay. Sorry about the connection not working for you. I am staying in and avaoiding the bad roads or stupid drivers. LOL The skeet stopped but the temp has dropped to 28 and the over passes and bridges will be freezing so I am glad I did not go in. They are calling for more sleet later today and tonight.

ROTFLMAO!!! he might not be too thrilled about that.

Good thing you’ve got broadband or you’d still be uploading all these images after the 2008 election was over.
Amen to that. Even with broadband it takes a while as the site only loads 5 at a time and you have to tag them also.
The sleet has started. The roads are not iced over so I will have to drive in but am tempted to take to day off. LOL
be careful

Yikes. CBtE is camping/backpacking in Big Bend in that weather. I’m trying not to worry.
Hi CG,
curly asks me to say hi. She made the creme brulee french toast (among other things) for her brother’s birthday lunch yesterday. Success!
Hi ask. Tell curly I said hi back, and I’m glad the french toast worked out. I think I’m trying strawberry stuffed french toast next time… 🙂
Are you all off from school/work today?
Hi CB –
Unfortunately, neither of us are off today! So we’re on
our way out the door :-(.

It’s OK, sweetie.
Looks like you still have creme brulee (CB) on your mind 😉
Actually, that one is from cooking light, so it should be quite a bit lighter on the cream and butter. 🙂
I’ll dig up the recipe and post it in a bit.
I’m thinking of trying this one: Berry french toast

You would have to give up your motherhood badge if you didn’t worry.
BTW, did you get my email I sent yesterday?
Yes, I did. Of course, you must have already realized that I was studiously avoiding that whole topic before I got the email. 🙂
I guessed as much — you can just pass it on if you want.
I’m feeling left out.
Don’t worry, it was just a summary of what you already were part of the discussion for…
How are you this morning? Still having that gorgeous flea-marketing weather? You know I’m jealous, sitting here in the mist.
Even more gorgeous if that’s possible, but the bottom is due to fall out tomorrow.

Nice. Especially to be able to see that in your back yard.
I am sure they will find some place to pitch a tent and stay warm.
Thanks, refinish.
Good morning Andi and rf.
Still a bit mild here, but otherwise, a miserable morning.
Morning Ask. Sorry the weather is miserable. I am being over cautious this am but as temps are suppsoe to keep dropping during the day I see no need to get 37 miles from home today. LOL
Better stay safe, rf.
We’ll get freezing rain tonight, they say.
It’s been raining for five days here and it’s not going to stop until Tuesday. I cannot remember a winter that was this wet (let alone this warm) — I seem to have moved from a forest to a swamp without actually going anywhere. Yuck.
Oh yeah, good morning.

Good morning all – and a soggy morning it is.
Good morning everyone.
I don’t know why, but today the comments are going all the way over into the advertisements. Is that happening to anyone else?
Not me. What browser are you using?
Firefox. I’ve heard this happening to other people, but this is the first time for me.,
I was worried when I didn’t see you in the pond yesterday. Hope things are going well for you and FMom.
I am having no problems with the comments at all.
Hi Refinish.
I’ve been having trouble with connecting with the net. For two days I couldn’t get on, and then yesterday it kept coming and going.
We’re fine, hope you’re doing good.
margin thingy is happening to me too and I use firefox.
Not be able to connect to the net — the horror, the horror. I’d have to take the laptop and go hang out at the library.
Hi Andi.
Yes but our library doesn’t have wifi, plus it’s only open half a day Sat. I think they still have the 1990 model computers in there.
So how far is it to the nearest starbucks (which is generically standing in for any place with public wifi)?
I don’t know. Probably one in Birmingham, so about 2 hours away. I tried to talk the guy that owns the Dew Drop Inn to put it in, but he said a pool table is too high flalooten for him. 🙂
Well I’ve got to get the day started. George and FMom are yelling for me.
Have a good day in the pond.
I am glad you, Fmom and the critters are okay. Sorry about the connection not working for you. I am staying in and avaoiding the bad roads or stupid drivers. Morning, er, good afternoon (just past noon EST).
Hi kidspeak!!!!
If you want to know about dogs. Ask the cat.
Nice work! Just don’t try getting a real cat in that get-up.
It is true that our cats show no fear of dogs whatever.
They must have read the book. My friend sent the pic.. I get a lot of questions on “Kidspeak`s Flight”.
The moon shot is a great picture. I’d love to have a copy of it myself, sometime. I may start wheedling, even.
I can send you a large file on Teach`s email if you want. An 8×10 @ 300.
Just say the word, “OKAY”.
Oh yes, OKAY!!!
I realize this is Thursday night, but it has been a hard week, I haven’t been online and I dont’ think Teach has much, either!
