I have 9 states left for the first design. I have opened the store and uploaded a lot of the designs so far. Mainly buttons on most but will be adding other merchandise and of course states as soon as I get them done.
I will also be doing some more fun designs by states as I once I get the first two designs done and uploaded.
I know I am a wimp but I am staying home again today. They are still asking for anyone who is not a health or public servant who has to be out to stay home. I am sure work will be open but I don’t care. My overall fear of driving since my last wreck over a year ago and the weather make it impossible for me to even think about getting out.
Someone up the street from me made the mistake of going to work on an icy day, had an accident and brke her back and was in the hospital for months.
It wasn’t worth the amount of money she would have made at work that day, and she’s been my example to people who are worried about getting to work in the snow ever since.
Thank you. I know they might need me but I just don’t trust myself in this mess. I get freaked out enough in regullar traffic at times. In the past 9 years, I have been hit 5 times and had 4 cars totalled. I use to love to drive and now I hate it. Add bad weather into that mix and I become a basket case. LOL
Hi Andi and refinish. Once again, we’ve stayed up a bit late to watch the Australian Open tennis. We’re not really sports fans of any sort, but we watch the occassional bit of grand slam tennis. This will change soon as our housemate took a job at the National Library in Canberra, and it’s her television (watching tv has ment cramming all three of us onto her bed).
Mauresmo won in two sets. Baghdadis is trailing Monfils none to one.
I’m afraid I’m one of those people that gets sucked into a watching a television if it is on. I have been at friends’ houses where they’ve had the tv running in the background and it always distracts my attention.
LOL No way. After my deep depression bout in 05 & the beginning of 06, I will never be a hernmit again. I scared myself. I need interaction with people and I use that as a guage to make sure I am not slipping again.
LOL So I have seen. I don’t enterain like I use to in years gone by. I go visit others and take food to dinners and parties. I have not had people over for dinner or had a party in over 6 years.
When I lived by myself I sort of enjoyed my solitude. I would have friends coming over and going to their places, but I never did mind living by myself. While I was still working I would have the people in my office coming over all the time to eat dinner. At my last office we were all good friends, so that make it easier.
I love my solitude and spend quite a bit of time alone. I am a people person but I have a job where I deal with people all day long plus all my political and civil rights stuff keeps me involved and out and about with people.
Yeah, I think that no school thing might be contributing to it, but on the plus side, he’s getting mom all to himself (and still young enough to like it!).
I’m glad the weather down there is supposed to improve soon.
You had a dusting of snow? Maybe it will be our turn soon.
Trying to ignore the news, most days right now that is how I start the day otherwise I just get upset. My husband was frustrated on Friday. He’s taking a career course for his last promotion, where the Army attempts to make him a better leader I guess. He says that at this point it is all sort of the same old same old and they are all there checking the box, but everybody in there with him is an old geezer in military years too. He came home frustrated though swearing that the whole Army is just fucked. Not only are they short manned/womanned but everybody who is still in is a lunatic. He said either you are a lunatic like he is and mad as hell at what they have done to the United States Army and just pissed seeing red every single day and standing your ground like a crazed dog or you are a Neocon lunatic talking about how the only way we can win Iraq is to kick out all the press and carpet bomb the whole place. Nobody here has much of a clue when they get pulled out of here either…..we’ve seen it happen quickly with soldiers being given six weeks to set the family to rights and pack up so pour the coffee and let’s talk about the weather.
Expecting the highs to get to the 60s later this week — break out the bikinis! lol
REALLY wish I could get to DC end of the month — but there’s going to be a rally in SF so I’ll hit that one and be marching with the DC Tribbers in spirit if not in flesh. Spouse is ambivalent so I may have to go by my lonesome — I feel like I have to do something.
Speaking of doing something, better hit that treadmill to get into marching shape…and also need to get laundry going today…
Morning Miss Andi!!!!
So what’s the state of the state t-shirts?

I think we should start a draft Molly Ivins movement.
Good on you for not going out when it’s dangerous. It’s just a job; it’s not worth it.
OMG, Molly would put those assholes in DC in their place in an instant!!! I was lucky enough to meet her at Demfest 2005. I love her and her writing.

I think you need Luna and Albert to join on that bed, just to make it nice and cozy.
Albert used to have bed priviledges, and would join us – then he peeded on the bed. 😮
Sounds like you might have to invest in a TV. LOL
Nah, tv’s are even greater time wasters than the internet.
I’ve made it through most of the last 20 years without one, and plan to keep it that way.
LOL I use my for back ground noise a lot.
That’s what radio and CD’s are for.
I’m afraid I’m one of those people that gets sucked into a watching a television if it is on. I have been at friends’ houses where they’ve had the tv running in the background and it always distracts my attention.
Good morning Andi, Refinish and keres.
No sleet or snow down here last night, just rels.
Morning FamilyMan!!!!
Hi Refinish. Saw where you’re staying home again today. That’s a good idea. From watching the news there are wrecks everywhere.
Damn if it isn’t snowing again out by the airport and of course that is the area I work in. LOL
Some people are so lucky!
I hate snow and I am ready for this mess to end!!!!!
I’ll take some for awhile.
Yes, but you are already the King of Slackdom and you know this is driving me nuts. LOL
I can set becomming a hermit isn’t in your future. 🙂
LOL No way. After my deep depression bout in 05 & the beginning of 06, I will never be a hernmit again. I scared myself. I need interaction with people and I use that as a guage to make sure I am not slipping again.
That a good way to gauge it. Unfortunately in this house I couldn’t become a hermit. It’s like grand central around here. 🙂

Heh. CBtY is jealous that Texas is getting snow and we aren’t.
I imagine he’s even more jealous that CBtE isn’t in school.
I see that it’s going to be in the 50 and 60s in Big Bend by the weekend.
Yeah, I think that no school thing might be contributing to it, but on the plus side, he’s getting mom all to himself (and still young enough to like it!).

You had a dusting of snow? Maybe it will be our turn soon.
It was a really light dusting; very disappointing.
Well, I’m off to the library to do some work at wifi speeds — have fun with CBtY.
Tell him I wish I could send it to him. LOL
Morning FM. We only got a dusting of snow. Olivia got real snow. I’m jealous.
Morning Andi.
We just got a little bit of a sprinkle and that’s it. I think the FSM is playing a joke on me when South Texas get snow and we don’t.
So Olivia got a lot of snow. I guess it’s time to break out the sled and snow dogs.
Very cold here today – have to wear my winter coat for a change. 😉 And more snow forecast for tomorrow.
Good idea staying home refinish.
Hope everyone has a good day!
Hi Olivia.
Just remember this last summer when your AC was out and how much you wished for cold air. Nah that doesn’t help does it. 🙂
Morning Miss Olivia!!!! You stay warm and safe also!!!
Hi olivia! Keep warm and have a great day!
I hear the first of the rels stirring and George is whinning. Time for the FM breakfast diner to open and to take George out.
Everyone have a great day and be careful out there.

I try to tune out the news for a few days a week keep my blood pressure down and stay relatively sane.
