Good morning Andi. Sorry I had to skip out on the lounge last night and miss a discussion of geezerhood, about which I seem to have a vast knowledge.
I could explain my preference for gin over vodka, but let’s just leave it at personal prejudice. But now it’s morning for tea.
Have I ever told you how much I love your photos? Even when I’m not feeling sociable, I can’t miss a froggybottom lounge or cafe because there’s bound to be a gorgeous picture there. You always make my day.
That’s very wonderful to know. I really enjoy going out and taking the pictures and like sharing the great good fortune I have in living where I can step out my door and into beauty.
As for liking gin — well, even the best of people have character flaws. 😉
I am getting just awful at traveling — which makes me feel sort of bad since there are folks at work who have to travel 60% of the time (though I did put my time in doing that).
Sorry for my stupid question. I knew he had gone to the vet and you were waiting for test results – but somehow missed that it was a biopsy. Poor Hopey.
Looks like we’ve got you beat for the season. We got .08 inch last week which cancelled school for one day and the next day was a two-hour delay. For moisture – a two hour moisture delay.
I agree w/ Alice and FM about your morning photos Andi, and have to check everyday to see what you’ve got for us. What a great idea it was to ditch the soggy cereal so we could have your woodland wonderland photos everyday … 😉
Love today’s photo … the way the shadow plays on the upper leaves, and then all the little veins and hairs on the leaves.
Hmm, I guess we’re even on proposing “great” ideas. 🙂
That’s likely to be my last fern picture for awhile. When I went out for a quick walk on Tuesday before I left I noticed that the cold and snow finally had laid them down and turned them a dull color.
so frustrated. He’s in the middle of his career courses. Every time an officer is promoted he has to take a new batch of career courses that are supposed to update him. Naturally his class is full of old farts like him all about two years from retirement. They’ve done Bosnia, they’ve done Iraq, they’ve done Afghanistan. My husband rewrote the curriculum for his class that hadn’t been redone in about ten years and I swear to God I almost threw his laptop in the lake at least three times last year. He doesn’t do anything half assed and honestly, if someone is sitting in the class with him they probably don’t either. They gave my husband an Army Achievement Award last month when someone he works with copied off my husband new curriculum and dropped it off to his commander. His commander was stunned, so I feel a little less hostile toward his laptop today. Anyhow they are in class and the topic is “Insurgents and Insurgency”. My husband said that it is being given by an officer who is his equal but a total half ass. It is a rightwing nutjob presentation and all the guy does is read the words on his slides, but he started out the class by inviting any all discussion. So my husband raises his hand and says, “If you invade a country and kill one of them you have to kill all of them.” He said it attempting to bring some balance to what was being droned at him. The instructor became enraged and spat at him that that was just his opinion and after that my husband said that nobody in the class offered up any further words. At the end of all classes soldiers critique the instructor without signing their names. My husband said that his critique read that he is stupider now for having had to take this class. The critiques are all read by the commanders
Great idea a cultural exchange. You bring down poutine and I’ll bring…. Gosh it just so much I could bring up there that I’d have everyone saying ya’ll before the summer was out, eh. 🙂

Good morning Andi and Alice.
I’m sure Andi is already at work and Alice I agree with you on Andi’s pictures.
Remember I’m in Chicago. It’s only 7 a.m. CST and I’m not due at the customer site till 9:00 a.m.
So you can’t get rid of me that easy. 😛
Morning Andi.
I forgot you’re in my time zone now. You’ll be home tomorrow though. Oh joy, oh joy, oh joy! 🙂
I am getting just awful at traveling — which makes me feel sort of bad since there are folks at work who have to travel 60% of the time (though I did put my time in doing that).
As you said, you put you time in. Now it’s time for other people to do theirs.
And you still got up 1.5 hours before I did. Such a slothful life I lead.
to adjust to different time zones. Even when I go out west it takes me days before I start sleeping to 6:00 local time.
How are you feeling?
Just peachy. Which is to say, plump and fuzzy.
or have your not-feeling-wells diverged?
She’s feeling better. How is your Hopeful?
and was staying snuggled up to the wood stove. So I’m sure he won’t be thrilled that he has to spend the day outside.
Of course, we’re going to worry until we hear back from the vet.
What are you afraid it is? And how old is Hopey?
They did a biopsy to see if it cancer but we have to wait till next week before the lab results are back.
We don’t how old he is exactly but he’s around 13.
I hope he’s okay. You know Sniff and Giddy are alright, but Hopeful is so handsome!
Even the human guys should be jealous. 🙂
It’s not a big lesion so I’m hoping that even if it cancerous, they will be able to remove all of it.
Sorry for my stupid question. I knew he had gone to the vet and you were waiting for test results – but somehow missed that it was a biopsy. Poor Hopey.
I appreciate your concern.
Yuck, I have to go get ready to be an adult for the next 8 or 9 hours.
See ya.
Till next week is a long wait. I hope Hope Sr is okay.
And I hope the doc gives you something to make you all better and that phone call is filled with great stuff.
Ta.
Hey slothful is good. 🙂
It snowed last nigh, and I get to go to the pulmonologist today – woohoo!
And I’m hoping to finally hear about CBtE’s adventures later, too. Waiting an extra day is killing me.
How much snow did you get?
(And glad about both the doc appt and the call)
You’ll laugh- I’m bragging about a half-inch of snow.
Looks like we’ve got you beat for the season. We got .08 inch last week which cancelled school for one day and the next day was a two-hour delay. For moisture – a two hour moisture delay.
Besides last weeks 4″ snow, the most we’ve had was about 1/4″.
Down here that would be braggable.
Hi CG
Good for going to the pulmonologist and it’s killing us too to find out what’s going on. Hope everything at the doctors works out good.
I think I’m getting to the doctor not a moment too soon- I look like a raccoon today.
Partied all night and went to bed with mascara on?
Don’t I wish.
Ah, those were the days. 🙂
Hope you feel better soon.

So no more vibrant greens … ah well, hopefullly you’ll get some interetsting snowscapes. 🙂
Gotta go … it’s good to see you, and I hope things are going well and you’re not trapped in beige rooms while there.
— it could always warm up again and we could have a very early spring.
The room is beige but it does have a window.
See ya.
Morning Olivia.
How’s the weather? Been above freezing yet?
It’s chilly here today: -20C (-5F), -29C w/ windchill …
And now I’m heading out into it.
Have a good day!
You too. Stay warm.
I’m going to start the day early today. Try to get ahead of the curve (rels).
Everybody have a good day in the pond.
Good morning all. We had a sprinkling of snow here last night but it’s fairly warm here today. Goodbye snow, not that I’m complaining.

The sounds of crickets chirping in here is deafening.
Hi Boran.
Crickets, what crickets? That was me burping real loud.
you have high pitched burbs then FM
Well I haven’t burped out a song in year, but I used to have an octave range. 😛
impressive … 😉
how’s the day treating you FM?
It’s been OK. Haven’t taken a nap all day and I’m tired, but I have gotten some stuff done around the house.
How’re things up there. Still cold? 🙂
very nippy … the kind of cold that instantly freezes your nostrils closed … 🙂
Yeah it’s nippy her too. I almost put a coat on when I took George out earlier. Don’t ya hate that biting cold. 🙂
should had been nippy here too.
Make sure you have your toque and mitts too … wouldn’t want you to get frostbite.
Yes but come summer I’ll be crying down here even with AC, while ya’ll are basking in wonderful weather.
during the winter, and then you all (y’all) can come stay up here during the summer. 🙂
Great idea a cultural exchange. You bring down poutine and I’ll bring…. Gosh it just so much I could bring up there that I’d have everyone saying ya’ll before the summer was out, eh. 🙂
That eh looks good on ya FM … 🙂
I’m off!
another idea for a podcast … 😉
You know the terms. You do one and I’ll do a second one. 😉
not even the alphabet … 🙂
Then you need to start practicing. Learn the wonders of burp singing. Amaze you friend, family and co-workers. Become the hit of every party. 🙂
I’m surpirsed I haven’t seen a commerical on TV about this.
for something like that … 🙂
So you see why I’m not a world leader. Burping and slacker are my natural talents. Geeze to be appreciated. 🙁
But I didn’t realize your talent for eructation.
Actually I was just kidding. My only natural talent is slacking. But I do excell at that.
You must be missing Andi because you’re having me goggle words. 🙂
🙂
I’m fleeing the cube … catch ya later!
See ya.
I’ll be back in a little while to open up a happy hour.
Froggy Bottom Happy Hour here
