Good morning! I’m just popping in while I run around like a nutcase getting ready to catch a plane… 🙂
and uneventful flight.

Well, I just got the call that my first flight was cancelled, and now I’m on one at 1:30.
Which is good, because (A) I still need to pack, and (B) my ride to the airport couldn’t sleep last night.
Hope you don’t have any more problems.

School is CANCELLED here for no discernable reason other than a forecast of maybe a wintry mix for a few minutes this afternoon.
Jim will be so jealous — he’s been whining for a snow day for weeks.

Hopey is his normal self — fast asleep. I can’t tell about ‘happy’ since he pretty much looks sad even when he is happy.
I’m glad he’s okay. How long till he’s fully recovered from the surgery?
Stitches come out in 10 days but he really doesn’t seem to be in any pain or acting like anything bothers him. Then again, he is the slowest dog in the universe so perhaps he just hasn’t gotten around to noticing yet.
Apparently that’s why my flight was cancelled too. I really needed the time to pack and follow up on work, though, so I’m not complaining. Yet. 🙂
CBtY is hoping for a cancellation tomorrow. It would definitely make things easier while I’m away…
I just hope our flights home on Sunday aren’t delayed. CBtY is anxious to see his bro.
we’re forecast to get 2″ of snow but at the rate it’s currently snowing it will take two weeks to get that amount. But it does sound like you’ll probably get to visit the de-icers.

well at least that means that once you are in the air you shouldn’t have to worry about winter weather.
I guess. So, to kill time while waiting for the next plane to be cancelled, I’m thinking I’d like a new camera (I was a little envious of how nice BroFel’s pictures are this past weekend, color and clarity-wise), and that Nikon D40 has some appeal, especially since it’s so much smaller and lighter than the D70.
Anyone have thoughts/opinions?
I stay away from cameras that require that you know what you are doing.
I’m thinking I could get beyond my fear of doing more than pushing the button.
You just don’t want to learn … but you’ve probably picked it all up from being between my questions to Jim and his answers if you hadn’t already learned it all from him anyway … Besides, your photos are gorgeous, so you give not knowing what your doing high praise … 🙂

Nope – it’s definitely snowing for the first time in 2 years. Looks pretty but things will be a mess. Look for us on the national news at 6:30. If NC had any National Guard left in state they’d be out in droves.

Those are glass gazing balls that I got at the flea market. Some people put them on a stand, I hang them from the tree. What can I say? I like balls hanging from a tree.

My brother call from B’ham last night and said they got a little snow. That’s about 2 hours north of us. It seems everytime it snows down here there’s a line that it doesn’t go past and that line is about an hour north of us. We can only keep hoping.

So far so good … My b is down but yours opens for me. I have this horrible feeling that I had to switch to the new blogger and now my blog is lost somewhere in the ether … but Andi says she can access it so, who knows.
I just tried to access your b, but it won’t. God I hope this is only temporary. Just incase it’s not, you did backup everything (I hope) and just starting a new b and putting it back in should work (I hope again).
Down here the grass is brown and wet at the moment. Well the grass I can see. I’ve still got leaves everywhere. 🙂

I was so dead tired last night, that I didn’t wake up once. So if he dive bombed me, I slept through it. Today I go to the grocery store and start shopping for a new food and I’ll see how that works.
I really hope you haven’t lost all your stuff and that this is only a slight hiccup in the system that will be corrected soon.

I think it was just a glitch in the whole blogger system. I couldn’t get into my b for awhile, but it seems everything is working fine now.
How’s your day going so far?
I am having a major problem with pohotobucket now. Trying to send photos of fresh bread, guacamole and hummous that we made from scratch this morning.
Sometimes when I’m having problems with the sites, I turn my computer off completely and wait about 2 minutes before I restart it. A lot of times that takes care of the problem.
That’s good to know … I’ve just know been able to access it. Hopefully it’s just a hiccup as FM stated there.

It’s a dreary sort of day, FM – but I took the school-less boy out for omelettes this morning and took a long nap with a warm dog, so I can’t complain.
Our snow has turned over to rain but it’s supposed to freeze again at sundown. Good thing I have chocolate frosting and microwave popcorn in case of emergencies.
Are you in a lull between attack of the rels?

Nope. A lot of it melted off but it never went entirely and now we’ve had a light snowfall.

And her bloodshot eyes match the cellophane. It’s kind of creepy that her eyes never competely shut when she’s sleeping, so you see red. She looks evil. And silly – which is a strange combination.
Sniff sometimes sleeps with his eyes rolled up and half-lidded so that all you is white — which I find very spooky.
(Is it obvious that I am not in a work mood?)
I’ll gladly trade you one yapping odoriferous dog for HJ. 🙂

I always told myself one day I was going to learn to make bread, but the closest I ever came was buying a bread making machine. Used it for a long time until I gave it to a friend.
Didn’t I hear something about hummus and guacamole? Mmmmmmmm – my faves!
