In that case I’ll pick the day in October of 1979 when I was somewhere on the Continental divide near Dillon Colorado, lying naked on a big warm rock with a crystal blue sky of amazing clarity above me. I’ll skip the burned boobies the next day though.
Hey there yourself, hockey babe! Just trying to run out the clock and actually get a bit more work done before I once more go off into the frozen wasteland.
Windchills heading down into the -30F range tonight, with real temps about -15 … jealous? Or same up your way?
No problem about the snuggler doggie, she’ll be ready for it. Not even planning leaving the house tomorrow (except to take dogs in and out) … supposed to be up to about 1-2F w/a windchill advisory from tonight into tomorrow night.
I’m going to make a nice batch of veggie potage and fresh bread to have for dinner and perfume the house. Maybe I should email you some virtual baguettes? hehe.
I think we should bring back the cereal cafe. Really, it’s not fair that it wasn’t a unanimous or majority decision right? We are a democratic blog after all … 🙂
Naaah, don’t mind me, I was just being (virtually) cranky because I didn’t get my (virtual) cheese Danish.Speaking of which, I need to go hunt some of those up in real life. I have no business eating them, but they’re sure good.

Good to hear about Hopeful! Spoil him, will ya? (or supposing that’s a job already well done, hehe)
We’ve been in the arctic blast for about the last week or so… we had one warmish day last Fri (up to 44) and it’s been the deep freeze ever since, and forecast all through next week. Looking at Highs of about 0-5 above each day and into the negative zone at night.
If’n you don’t believe me (hehe) check out the icicles over at my place, lol.
Hopeful is going to define ‘spoil’ for me so I know exactly what to do (apparently mostly has to do with food).
We’ve been cold (in the teens and 20s) this last week but now we’re heading into the same territory as you. I like winter but I would be happy if it never got colder than 20.
Sort of off topic – but we’ve had such a mild winter that all of the warm clothing is on deep discount, really almost free. I got a $46 hoodie for $3. I really should buy up all the hats and gloves and wool socks and ship them up to all the people living under bridges in Cleveland.
You’re kidding, right? Brazil has the highest rate of plastic surgery in the world. Either that or they’re just naturally hairless, tanned, big-breasted and buff and if that’s the case I despise them. Ok, I’m jealous.
but a lot of those palstic surgery statistics are foreigners coming down here to get it on the cheap. Anyway, most of the beautiful people I know here in Florianopolis are pretty natural (as compared to Venice, California, where I lived for fifteen years.)
You’re a nice guy, but I drove home today it a snow squall with visibility of less than 200 ft. Just a few miles north of here – whiteouts all over. And this during rush hour. The paradise pictures are rubbing road salt in the wounds. 🙂
(I really miss tone of voice and facial cues. I feel silly when I use emoticons.)
They’ve been in the stores for a month now. Out with the rich, dark colors, in with pastels and white. And there are easter bunnies and eggs everywhere.
The new owner’s brother stopped by tonight to tell me that letter was sent in error by the realtor. His sister is not moving to Texas untill next month anmd already has a place she is going to be living. She will be talking to me about signing a new lease which I will probably do another 6 month lease and start saving to move NOW!!!!
As a side note this mess along with some other stuff threw me into a depression where I am actually away from work and will be for a week or so more on FMLA. At least this time, I got help before getting to such a dark place as last time.
Good for you RF69! I’m so glad you recognized the symptoms and got help. And I’m glad things are working out on the housing front. I’ve been thinking of you. 🙂
Thank you!!!! I will be getting help dealing woth PTSS from the 5 car wrecks(non my fault)in the last 9 years as I have started having really bad panic attacks while driving also. LOL
I am sure glad you are getting help. Depression is nothing to mess around with. And panic attacks as well! Keep in touch, RF. You know we look forward to hearing from you around here.
Thank you. I am seeing teh same therapist I did last year when I was on the point os suicide before I got help. This time I recognized the signs of problems and got help much quicker.
That is excellent news! Hopefully with one less stressor in your life you can work on reducing/eliminating some of the others. (Eliminating some, like the current misAdministration, will take a group effort…)
Spouse bugging me to get out the door for grocery shopping…after I bugged him for the last hour to get off the damn computer so I could do my FRT… sigh

I wish that fat rodent was off the damn beach where he’ll see his damn shadow for sure and I’ll be stuck in this crappy cold and snow for six weeks while he sucks up the sun and Coronas.(I know I’ve a shot-gun around here somewhere. That sun sucking sum-bitch is going down. Roadkill for the pack tonight, andi. I’ll toss it out the window as head back from the beach.)
Didn’t I see this cafe yesterday?
And the day before?
And the day before?
And . . .
(Yes, I know, but someone was going to make that joke. I figured it might as well be me and get it over with.)
you saw last year on this very same day — isn’t that amazing?!?
Were we really all here last year on this very same day? I thought I was dreaming it.
There’s no reason why both couldn’t be true.
It just doesn’t seem like a year has passed. And in some ways it seems like waaaay more than a year ago.
If this is the day I’m destined to live over and over and over again, I’m really bummed.
Yeah, it seems like if you have to live the same day over and over and over again, you could at least get a pony every day or something.
I’ll go with the “or something.” 🙂
it was just a movie. 🙂
Be kind of fun to try to pick out a day that you’d want to live over.
I’d want the day I gave birth to my kids – from about 30 seconds AFTER they came out.
four days? Or are you even more talented and clever than I had imagined.
Do I have to pick one? Can’t I do a composite?
Ok, I really am one dimensional.
In that case I’ll pick the day in October of 1979 when I was somewhere on the Continental divide near Dillon Colorado, lying naked on a big warm rock with a crystal blue sky of amazing clarity above me. I’ll skip the burned boobies the next day though.
I’m more interested in the composite kid than your boobs — what would you combine from the different kids to make your one?
Hmm…
Colin’s sense of humor, Ben’s wiry tenacity, Ryan’s ability to cheer me up with her silliness, and Owen’s intelligence and compassion.
You should send that comment to all of them — I’d bet they’d enjoy it.
Now just average out their birth dates and years and you can figure out the date you’re going to relieve.
😀
and go down to the river?
I was lazy O today
Good for you! 😉
Evening FM … 🙂
Hey there yourself, hockey babe! Just trying to run out the clock and actually get a bit more work done before I once more go off into the frozen wasteland.
Windchills heading down into the -30F range tonight, with real temps about -15 … jealous? Or same up your way?
Been too long.
Brrrrr … you’re going to have snuggle w/ Pepa tonight. And no, can’t say jealous lol … we’re at 29°F and it’s snowing.
No problem about the snuggler doggie, she’ll be ready for it. Not even planning leaving the house tomorrow (except to take dogs in and out) … supposed to be up to about 1-2F w/a windchill advisory from tonight into tomorrow night.

sounds very decadent … 🙂 My goal is to sleep all day, or the morning at least. Was up late a couple nights and it’s catching up to me.
Mmmmm, that sounds really good! I’d love some … 🙂
I can see why Bill Murray was going insane. If I had to wake up to that every day for months on end, I would too.
I’ve always thought that symbolized a very succinct Sartrean kind of hell… l’enfer … c’est la radio! hehe.
How ya been out there O-man? Long time no see.
I think we should bring back the cereal cafe. Really, it’s not fair that it wasn’t a unanimous or majority decision right? We are a democratic blog after all … 🙂

that teams up weird al and phil ochs.
Don’t forget the Dixie Cups too! That song always brings back childhood memories of that first, red, crappy little transistor radio I had …
How’s Hopeful doing? Sleeping his way to a full recuperation, I hope…
I figured I’d get points for having The Dixie Cups and The Clash on the same list.
Yeah, you never get over your first radio. I did a story about that around Christmastime.
I like the rhythm of that song, not so much the lyrics.
Hopeful seems to be doing great — he doesn’t act sore at all and his sleep cure is going strong.
We’re about to get hit with an arctic blast — are you getting it too?
Good to hear about Hopeful! Spoil him, will ya? (or supposing that’s a job already well done, hehe)

I see lots of hot tea and lentil soup in your future. Or maybe that’s my future…
We already decided to make a big pot of vegetable soup on Sunday.
Sort of off topic – but we’ve had such a mild winter that all of the warm clothing is on deep discount, really almost free. I got a $46 hoodie for $3. I really should buy up all the hats and gloves and wool socks and ship them up to all the people living under bridges in Cleveland.
I need ’em down here– only have shorts and sandals… brrrr!
My heart is aching for you, poor dear. 😛
and the major problem is that the Brasilians walk around half-naked in all of this sunshine. It’s a tough life, but I guess somebody has to live it.
Are we talking about big hairy guys in banana hammocks, or hairless girls with fake boobs?
Most Brasilians can’t afford plastic surgery!! hehe
You’re kidding, right? Brazil has the highest rate of plastic surgery in the world. Either that or they’re just naturally hairless, tanned, big-breasted and buff and if that’s the case I despise them. Ok, I’m jealous.

They want butt, not boobs. So if the can afford plastic surgery, they are more likely to have “bottom” implants– nowhutimene?
I will gladly donate some extra booty to the cause.
Baby got back? LOL
If I liked beaches I’d be jealous (now pics of the mountains …)
…wait a minute, I think I have one of me on the rock…I know it’s around here somewhere….
You’re a nice guy, but I drove home today it a snow squall with visibility of less than 200 ft. Just a few miles north of here – whiteouts all over. And this during rush hour. The paradise pictures are rubbing road salt in the wounds. 🙂

And it’s january so in the world of fashion retailing that means it’s time to put out the spring clothes.
They’ve been in the stores for a month now. Out with the rich, dark colors, in with pastels and white. And there are easter bunnies and eggs everywhere.
I don’t like shopping anyway but I really don’t want to shop for something that I can’t wear for months.
I was checking my e=mail and notice I won the UK Lottery three times and someone needs my assistance with an estate and royalties from a gold mine.
Really? I’ve been assured that my penis will grow up to 3 inches while I sleep!
and I have been told I can get d cup boobs without surgery. LOL

That’s the key, isn’t it, realizing the warning signs. You did good, my man.
Thank you!!!!!!
that is great news about the apartment.
And I’m really glad you took care of yourself and got help.
Thank you Miss Andie!!!!!!
