Of course it doesn’t bother you – you’re the one who took the picture and then cropped it. Don’t question my sense of reality this morning, Andi, it’s already so fragile.
Easy weekend, I hope. Spend time with the kids. My daughter is writing a feature on the significance of the netroots and blogging for her school paper and we’ll be meeting a ‘prominent’ local blogger for an interview on Sunday.
Funny, curly was just (as in 15 minutes ago) suggesting to me to take the kids soon.
No big travel in the near future, so we should be around – let me know as your plans firm up.
Seven feet is nothing. We used to walk to school in our little wool uniforms in 7 feet of snow, uphill, both ways. We catholic girls are impervious to snow and cold.
As for ice, we don’t have any here — but over on the other coast, my poor pop was doing some curling and slipped and busted his poor head. We’ve all been picking on his curling-related injury (it’s a brutal sport, you know!), but I’m glad he’s okay.
Sorry to hear about the curling accident, we were just talking about our attempts at live-blogging curling during the Olympics last year. what an odd coinkydink
He’s maybe the kind of person who should just not try to do sports that involve ice. He had a similar slip last year, just out in the driveway. My mom keeps joking that she’s going to make him wear a helmet everytime he goes outside in the winter.
I’ve never really understood curling, but I enjoyed watching it in the olympics last time — it was a little bit like watching cricket for me, where I have no idea what the hell is going on but it’s sort of fascinating to try to get from context.
Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door – that way Lumbergh can’t see me, heh heh – and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour.
Mornin’ AndiF. TFSMIF?
Hi all
I’m new here.
How do you get your sig lines to be in color?
You have to use html. Not all html is allowed in sigs though so I don’t if it will actually work. You can make it bold or italic though.
Welcome to the cafe, plf515!
Hi, everybody!
A nice sunny day here in Lyon…
Have a nice day!
Bonhour, Melanchthon!
That should be Bonjour!
Need coffeee now.
I’m hoping when it gets to be time to have sun that we do, in fact, have some sun.
Good morning, Andi and Melanchthon.
Welcome, plf515!
TFSMIF.
You can say that again! Now if only the weather would warm up…
Morning CG.
According to the forecast we’ll not surpass 37F during the next 7 days in my area…
Same here. And with snow predicted too.
I’d thank his noodly self a lot more if he’d warm it up above 20.
What’s TMSMIF?
Thank Flying Spaghetti Monster It’s Friday 🙂
welcome to BooTrib!
That photo plays with my head. Must have coffee.
Morning, SN.
I had a similar reaction. Almost vertigo.
Exactly! Good morning, ask. Big weekend plans?
I must have an upside-down brain ’cause it doesn’t bother me at all.
Morning.
Same here.
It does make you wonder if the reflection is going that way or the picture was posted upside down. LOL
Of course it doesn’t bother you – you’re the one who took the picture and then cropped it. Don’t question my sense of reality this morning, Andi, it’s already so fragile.
That’s must be the trick — you have a solid sense of reality and mine is completely whacked.
ROTFLMAO!!!! It comes from living in the boonies.
my whacked-ness is pre-dates the move to the country. I think it’s a natural talent.
Just like mine since I never lived in the boonies. LOL
Mine is fragile before caffeination too…
Easy weekend, I hope. Spend time with the kids. My daughter is writing a feature on the significance of the netroots and blogging for her school paper and we’ll be meeting a ‘prominent’ local blogger for an interview on Sunday.
OMG I can read what ask is typing or my mind is so warped I can now read gibberish. LOL
Hehe,
Maybe the FSM inserted a babel fish in your ear overnight.
Or, I may be in a different location this morning.
Tell curly I said hi. 😉
Done, and she says hi back.
BTW, we’re thinking about coming up to do the Natural History Museum thing sometime in the next few weeks. Will all of you be around?
Funny, curly was just (as in 15 minutes ago) suggesting to me to take the kids soon.
No big travel in the near future, so we should be around – let me know as your plans firm up.
do the asklets like to go ice skating — especially outdoors — when the weather is cold?
They both enjoy skating – the young one played hockey last winter.
LOL I figured you were at Curly’s but I had to have some fun.
Morning all!!!!! Lovely Picture as always Miss Andi!!!
Welcome to plf515 and to all the other newbies on the site. Jump in the water is fine except when it is frozen as above. LOL
I have been up since 4 am working on some designs and a logo for my new design site. LOL
The Rainbow Activist
The shop is in it’s infancy but will have a lot more designs up shortly. LOL
Andi, one of your finest photos to-date. It’s beautiful.
Morning Miss Olivia!!!!
Looking forward to the w/e?
LOL I will be working non stop on designs but yes, I am looking forward to the weekend. Any big plans for your weekend?
Going to a game tonight … Have to take my computer in for repairs. Cleaning. Nothing special. 🙂
Better get going here … Have a good day!
LOL Enjoy the game and have a great day!!!!
Have fun at the game tonight!
Good morning, Miss O. Cold enough fer ya?
at least we didn’t get the 7ft of snow that upstate ny did.
Seven feet is nothing. We used to walk to school in our little wool uniforms in 7 feet of snow, uphill, both ways. We catholic girls are impervious to snow and cold.
Thank you. I guess today’s pick is giving us all insight into how our brains are wired. 🙂
What are you sayin, Andi – that it’s some sort of psychological test and I failed? Is that it?:P
olivia and cg are probably the ones who ought to object to that comment.
I see it’s 1 skinny degree in Cleveland. Any warmer there?
it’s 6.
Oh, like it’s a big secret that I’m whacked too? 😛
I think we are all a little wacked and it is why we get along. LOL
Life is too short to take yourself too seriously. 🙂
your diagnoses?
😛
upthread — I’m trying to figure exactly how to factor in hockey obsession though.
Good morning all, gotta run, see you in a bit.
Note to CG – thanks for adding Translation Nation to the reading list! I should have it finished this weekend, it’s been great.
Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good Friday. It’s a balmy 56 degrees at the moment with a predicted high of 78. brrrrrrr!
Thanks for recommending it – it looks interesting.
And just to remind everyone, BT gets 7.5% of sales for books bought through the Powell’s link in the sidebar.
took long enough.
Makes the whole world smell better.

Don’t slip, y’all!
send it over to Baja Arizona, willya?!

This pretty much sums up my week:
