I saw Vollenweider perform at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles several years ago – what a sweetheart. He had sprained his ankle earlier and was talking about his trip the hospital, and all the people who REALLY needed help there – he came across as very real, very caring. And as a harpist myself I was fascinated with his playing. I love to hear an instrument played in a way I haven’t heard before. I once heard a guy play a guitar almost like a harp – very amazing. More commonly, I hear a harp played like a bass! There are some great jazz harpists in the area!

I am too exhausted to even open itunes. LOL The Obama event was very nice. Over 20,000 people attended. The speech was good but lost momentum a couple of times. Still has not changed my mind on who I am supporting for the nomination. One thing is they changed the time he was speaking from 2 pm till 3 pm but did not tell anyone in advance. We left here at 11:30 am were at the event by 12:45. They had good music but to delay the only speaker by an hour was a real inconvience because it meant the rally ended just as the worst of afternoon traffic started. I think he would make a great VP.
NO problem!!! I was glad to help out last night. I saw that George is better but no appetite. The Diva Dogs and I are still sending Love and Healing thoughts.
You also have to realize this event was outside, no seating and it rained(not heavy) off and on through most of it but we stayed. I am glad I went. It confirmed some of my earlier thoughts. LOL
I was thinking if it had been a group of 20 instead of 20,000 then it wouldn’t had been any problem. But you don’t leave that many people outside in the rain for an extra hour.
I was wondering if Obama thinks he’s hit rock star status. 🙂
Thanks to you and the Diva Dogs for the good thoughts.
I am checking the ones I too right now. I did not get any of Obama because by the time he started my claustraphobia had kicked in and I moved to the back of the crowd. LOL

Hi, ask. How was your week?
Nice list. I haven’t heard anyone talk about Andreas Vollenweider in a while.
Lazy week. Took off a couple of days.
Still heading this way next weekend?
Looks like we have a new project – check Turtle Bay’s diary.
Took a couple of days off. I’m proud of you ask. 🙂
Yep, still planning on Sunday. I’m hoping the weather will be nice.
Hi CB –
Haven’t been to that museum in a few years –
really looking forward to it! Thanks for
inspiring and motivating us.

Don’t have a random 10 tonight, but I will take a ramdom 10 sampling of beers.
How’s everybody doing today.
I’m okay, but about to run out for some pizza. I’ll be back in a bit.
I hope George is feeling better this evening.
Hi CG.
George is feeling a little better, but no appetite.
Oh boy pizza. What kind?
Poor George – no appetite.
We’re having chicken pot pie. Smells good here now…
I haven’t made that in awhile. Might have to give it a try this weekend.
We’re just heating it (them) 🙂
But we’ve had them before and they are really good.
Just got back from an errand.
I do better with chicken stew than the pot pies. That crust always gets me.

Hi curly.
Thanks. I hadn’t thought of that. I can see pot pies coming this weekend.
Can’t wait to hear how they turn out.
Enjoy! – c.
I’ll let ya know.
Ooh – what’s the rest of the recipe? I have some pillsbury dough in the fridge right now!
and the batting cages…
Cheese and white pizza with spinach, broccoli, and tomatoes.
Email me a slice will ya. 🙂

You’ve seen inside my dreams. 🙂

Hi Refinish
Glad you had a good time at the rally. I don’t know about the part on having 20,000 people waiting for an hour. Sounds like poor planing to me.
Thanks again for hosting for me last night.

BTW did you get any pictures?

Cool on the pictures and sorry about the claustraphobia.
I’ll be back to see them in a minute. Fmom is calling and George is whining.

Alright RF. I feel like I was there. 😉
Great pictures, refinish! Looks like a fun time.
I think he’d be a great VP to. 🙂
I’m pretty jaded on speeches and rallys. I really need to see some action, some leadership. I’m all speeched out, you know?
Well, I still go to the rallies to see what is happening. It is part of what I have done for the past 40 years.

Approaching my bedtime.
Everybody have a good night in the pond.
