I just got Luna in and towelled off after she spent some time outside in the rain protecting us from invisible invaders. She kept barking, so I added some very attractive black rubber boots to my stunning forrest green dressing gown (terry), all topped by a fadded blue baseball cap, so that I could go outside with the flashlight to look for anything amiss.
She’s asleep in the door of the bedroom, and I should be following after (only, you know, using the bed).
Our local owls don’t hoot. I’d never thought of that before. The Boobook, not surprisingly says “boo book.” And the Mopoke – well, you guessed it. The Mopoke also makes a sound that’s surprisingly like a cat yowl.
Have a fine day all. It will be Friday when I wake up, so I’m good.
Sounds like an attractive outfit Ask. LOL The Diva Dogs bark at anything that moves- even leaves I think. It is bad enough when cats will decide to tease them but we know have a squirrel who will run back and forth on the fence laughing at them.
Morning Miss Andi!!! Great picture as always. I slept with the kitchen sliding glass door open all night and it is still warm in the house. LOL Been working on some designs this am but they have not been uploaded as of yet.
They are calling for rain here and then high winds afterwards again with gust up to 30 mph. It was cloudy and gray all day yesterday but never rained a drop. LOL
Good morning, Andi.
There’s hope in that picture.
My laptop finally gave up the spirit over last weekend. ‘Cannot Find Operating System’ and refusing to read the recovery disks – I think it’s dead.
Good morning, rf!
It is the very one.
I’m taking the HD to our tech guy tomorrow – maybe iTunes and images can be saved (fortunately, most of my images are also on curly’s laptop or on Imageshack).
Thereafter, a burial would be appropriate. Replacement under consideration.
Good luck with the techies. They have been known to work miracles on computers. I have an old pavillion I keep saying I am going to take in for just such a job to see if I can combine it with my newest one for more power and storage. LOL
Me too…I’m having fun learning how to use the manual and A-priority settings and adjust the exposure and stuff, but I need more things to take pictures of…I need to go out for a hike or something.
I think I slept through a thunderstom last night. At least George or FMom didn’t wake me up. We’re supposed to have more coming through today. It’s already 66 F here.
Yep it looks like some bad storms are going to come through here today. I’ve got cafe today, but if I don’t show up you’ll know the electricity is out or a lot of lighting is going on.
Looking forward to the pictures of you rearranging.
Ha ha. 🙂 They are pretty busy. Trying to get the house clean for my sister who’s coming in today after Owen fixed us a huge Caribbean feast last night at 10:00 and then we all went to bed without cleaning.
We’re having a GREAT visit, and it looks like they’ll be moving here! They need to go work their butts off and save some money but are planning on mid-summer.
I’m still trying to downplay it in my head so I’m not disappointed if they don’t do it. But they applied for a waiting list at a nice apartment/townhouse complex, J can get a transfer and manage a Starbucks down here, and O can tend bar while he looks for something better.
This was after I told him I’d order something in. He rummaged around in my freezer and pantry and made grilled tilapia that he coated in honey and jerk seasoning, rice and black beans, sweet corn and peppers sauteed in olive oil, mashed sweet potatoes, and mango salsa with fresh mangos, vidalia onions, tomatoes and lime juice.
Mine sit soaking quietly during the night. Plus FMom or when anyone else is here, they get up in the middle of the night to get something to eat, so the kitchen would be messed up anyway. So I figure it’s a loosing battle anyway.
I smelled fish last night while I was trying to sleep. Fortunately I also smelled mangos so it was tolerable. I’m just getting the fishy smell out now.
Good afternoon from the stormy and gloomy state of TN. I can atest that this is the 1st of March! storms all around.
It is 61 degrees and right now it is just raining after the wind and big storm last night..
I am off today from work and am doing some laundry and thought I would drop in to say HI….I miss being here with you all like the old days.
I hope Keres gets some good rest for it will probably be the same thing tomorrow night…:o) My dog barks too but at what I do not know. The neighbors dogs do the same thing. It is when they stop barking that I guess we all should worry….
The return was more eventful than I’d planned — got my boarding pass and the agent said to go to gate B15. No problem — headed out to B15, only to find that the gate had been changed…to A9!!! So had to motor very quickly, lugging a VERY full backpack (I definitely need a lighter laptop before Chicago!) on my back. Made it with a good half hour to spare before boarding. Treated myself to first class upgrade on both flights (just considered it an early birthday gift to me), and enjoyed it immensely.
Now I’m debating — unpack or nap? Unpack or nap? Unpack or naaaaazzzzzzz……….

to both you and Luna.
(At our place, incessant barking usually means hooting owls.)

And good morning to you too, keres – well, good night, I guess.
Sounds like an attractive outfit Ask. LOL The Diva Dogs bark at anything that moves- even leaves I think. It is bad enough when cats will decide to tease them but we know have a squirrel who will run back and forth on the fence laughing at them.
Sorry to disappoint, rf – the outfit does not belong to me, but keres must have been a sight!
LOL dang I need more coffee. It was Keres’s outfit I was talking about. LOL
Morning Miss Andi!!! Great picture as always. I slept with the kitchen sliding glass door open all night and it is still warm in the house. LOL Been working on some designs this am but they have not been uploaded as of yet.
We’re having thunderstorms which started with hail at 4:00 a.m.
Ah, it finally decided to tell you that it was okay to get a new laptop.
I agree with Andi, it’s time to let go and move on. I’m sure your old laptop would have wanted it that way.
Well, we had close to 4 good years together, and it got to get around a bit.
Is this the one where half the keyboard turned into a calculator? I think a decent burial is required and a fast replacement. LOL
Good morning, rf!

Have fun shopping around — it’s the best part of the ‘puter experience. 🙂
Nice ice!
Good morning, Andi, ask, and refinish! Good evening to keres…I have to take some chix pix for the dog blog today.
One more day till Friday. 🙂
We’ll be looking forward to yet another first for your new camera.
Me too…I’m having fun learning how to use the manual and A-priority settings and adjust the exposure and stuff, but I need more things to take pictures of…I need to go out for a hike or something.
Morning CabinGirl!!!! Once I finish cleaning, rearranging and hang some art work in my bedroom/office, I will take some pictures. LOL
That would be cool. I need to rearrange some furniture today too… I got a great new table and need to move the old one out to storage.
Good morning everyone.
I think I slept through a thunderstom last night. At least George or FMom didn’t wake me up. We’re supposed to have more coming through today. It’s already 66 F here.
Hope everyone is doing fine today.
Morning FamilyMan!!!! I am seeing storm warning for quite a few areas in the south this am.
Hi Refinish.
Yep it looks like some bad storms are going to come through here today. I’ve got cafe today, but if I don’t show up you’ll know the electricity is out or a lot of lighting is going on.
Looking forward to the pictures of you rearranging.
If you don’t make it I will take care of it for you.
And we’ll hold your 27 beers for you, too.
Hi Andi.
If these storms are bad, I think I’ll be wanting real beer. 🙂
Good morning!
Good morning CG.
I was just wondering when can we expect some more pictures? 🙂
You’re just buttering me up, aren’t you? 🙂
(That or you REALLY like chickens.)
Speaking of chickens, I miss maryb.
Yeah I miss maryb too. I see bad weather is moving her way also.
BTW would I butter you up? 🙂
I’d butter her up, add some kosher salt and roast her at a high heat for about 45 minutes. Mmmmm.
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen…and Family Man.
Good Morning SN.
How are things going at the Nature preserve? 🙂
Ha ha. 🙂 They are pretty busy. Trying to get the house clean for my sister who’s coming in today after Owen fixed us a huge Caribbean feast last night at 10:00 and then we all went to bed without cleaning.
Sounds like you’ve been having a nice visit.
Why clean when you just have someone else coming in to make a mess? 🙂
We’re having a GREAT visit, and it looks like they’ll be moving here! They need to go work their butts off and save some money but are planning on mid-summer.
That is excellent news. We’ll have to come up with some great distractions for you so you can bear the wait.
I’m still trying to downplay it in my head so I’m not disappointed if they don’t do it. But they applied for a waiting list at a nice apartment/townhouse complex, J can get a transfer and manage a Starbucks down here, and O can tend bar while he looks for something better.
That is so cool! I’m so glad they like it there.
Now, about that little house…
Darling house, but ghetto neighborhood. 🙁
The apartment complex definitely sounds better then.
Now, about this caribbean feast with tilapia…what else did he make?
(I’m hungry this morning.)
Now I’m salivating all over my keyboard. 🙂
No wonder you’re so eager for him to NC.
I’m so transparent, aren’t I? 🙂
well, I would certainly choose ‘my son the readably available chef’ over ‘my son the kid who would cook for me if only he weren’t in Cleveland’. 😉
Sounds great!!!! I know I am one of the few people who’s mother ask them to cook when they go home. I guess you ask Owen to cook when he visits. LOL
Sounds like it’s time to visit your mom – and me!
Probably a good thing they’re thinking of the apartment. It’s a lot less work to take care of than a house.
YEEEEEEEEE HAW!!!!!!!!!
That’s what I’m talking about!
I never clean the kitchen before I go to bed. By supper time I’m just to tired to do it. So I always do it in the mornings.
Why don’t you wait until your sister gets there and let her help. 🙂
That would be cruel, wouldn’t it? I just might do that. Except the feast included tilapia and I hate the house smelling like fish.
Well just think of the smell of fish mixing with dog and cat and you could probably bottle it. 🙂
I can’t do that — the dishes talk so loudly that I can’t get to sleep.
I’m just getting the fishy smell out now.
was that from the dishes or did you forget to brush your teeth? LOL
What a funny guy you are, RF. Of course it was my breath. 😉
You know I luvs ya!!!! LOL
George is whining to go out and FMom is awake so I’ve got to start the day.
Hope everybody has a good day and I’ll see ya’ll later.

Hello, all! It’s in the balmy 40’s here in NY. Spring is comin’!
there’s no place like home.
