That movie is one of my all-time favorites…it was CBtY’s favorite when he was in nursery school..they couldn’t figure out who he was talking about when he would tell them about “Kathy Selden, Kathy Selden”, and nearly died when I told them.
but missed Barney, thank FSM. And I just got the box set of “30 Years of the Street”, with some of the songs from Sesame Street — there’s been some great singers that stopped by: REM, Goo Goo Dolls (their version of “Slide” with Elmo called “Pride” is awesome), Spin Doctors. Heckuva lot of fun…
Just found out that my youngest niece is getting married — of two minds about that; I’m worried that she’s too young (she just turned 21), but it’s her life and the guy seems to be nice (he survived a Christmas with our family, always a good sign lol).
One of my cousins is planning a huge family reunion for end of July — seems like the crowd only gets together these days for funerals (my godfather passed away last week). It’s going to be up at Calaveras Big Trees — the spouse and I will probably go up for it, even though it means I’ll come home then turn around and head for Chicago 2 days later.
Peeking in at the MSNBC all-day Iraq anniversary coverage…Bush is supposed to be speaking at 8:30 Pacific so that’ll be a good chance for me to change the channel and have some breakfast…worst comes to worst I’ve still got some stuff on the DVR to watch. LOL
HI Cali!!!! Sorry for your loss. Family reunions can be fun and painful. LOL The last one I went to was both. I saw how many folks were missing and how much connections with family members no longer existed at all. LOL
I can not watch the coverage or listen to shrub. Here is a link to a video honoring some of the Americans we lost in Iraq that is well worth viewing.
my sister complains a lot about this particular cousin, and that side of the family in general — yet she and that cousin are as alike as two peas in a pod. She’ll never admit it though — and I’m not going to mention it…I value my life. LOL!!
We refer to mom’s “extended family” as the in-laws and the out-laws. lol My mom only had one sister — but the sister married a man who had a ton of siblings, so it became common practice for everyone to be “Aunt This” and “Uncle That”, even though there was no direct connection. Sort of lost touch with each other over the years — not only are the cousins all married, their kids are now married with kids of their own…going to seem pretty surreal, I must admit.
Good morning, rf(?)!
Ready to start the week?
Morning Ask. I love that video. I slept in this am but then I didn’t go to bed till 3 am. LOL

Way better than Barney videos. 🙂
Anything is better than Barney videos. LOL
CBtE used to run over and turn the tv OFF when Barney came on after Sesame street. Very discerning…
I am so glad barney was not around when my nephew was little. LOL
