Have a new thread.  And has anyone else noticed that there’s a dearth of interesting news for the News Bucket this morning?

      Morning CG.

Dearth?  Ya just had to go and have me looking up words first thing in the morning. 🙂

I think my son is kicking himself for moving this week with the Cavs in the NBA finals.  He manages a club downtown right by the arena and it’s been wild there throughout the playoffs.  He made 400 in tips saturday night.

Good avoidance of having to spell Raleigh, FM.

Yeah, he found an okay job to start with…then he’ll find something better.  I’ll tell you what though, it will get me off my ass at night and out amongst the living.

I think I need to get out more….but I don’t drink.  And it’s a cool jazz/blues live music sort of bar.  Not skeevy unemployed men drinking beer at 11 in the morning kind of bar.

      Morning, boran!
I guess you did; when the regular cafes closed some weeks ago, the morning crowd (what’s left of it) moved to the World Thread – which is now a ‘permanent’ cafe – threads being refreshed around 100 comments (every few days).

      • boran2

There’s been an open/cafe/lounge up since about a week after we retired the FBC. The comments stay around until they hit 80-100 and then CG opens a new one — which takes 2 or 3 days.

      And good morning back.

Looks like its gonna be a sunny day.  Yey!

Of course, that means I should actually get some work done outside, and it’s not exactly warm now that winter is almost here.  Life is filled with such connundrums.

All the wooden posts are set for Luna’s (huge, or for the more numerical – .27 acre) new run and I really should be installing the strainers and cross braces whenever I can – unfortunately, that sounds too much like actual work.

OTOH, it would be nice to get it finished sometime this year.

I had a boss one time that took an instant dislike to me when he first arrived.  That plus he was trying to get every female in the office into bed, made for a really horrible work place.   One of the women in the office got mad at me, and the boss took it as his mission to get me fired.  Luckily for me the boss started getting in to trouble with his boss and his credibility was lost.

I’ve had some really excellent bosses and some really bad ones.  Since I was in the military, and back then you moved just about every two years, I always took the outlook of either I put in to go somewhere else right away, or I outlast them.  I did both over my career.
