        Good morning, CG and FM!

I linked to the Bush Impersonator in another comment yesterday, but it will probably get more visibility here.
        Absolutely hilarious.

Next time don’t buy a mattress from some scalawag. 🙂

I’ve told you before to have a bunch of geese in the back yard and a row or two of corn.  That way you can replace the stuffing as needed.

I was thinking this morning about those fancy French Press machines, and I thought once my Mr. Coffee was done that I would be waiting three times as long for my first cup if I went fancy. 🙂

I got a variation on the Westin Heavenly bed last summer…it took a couple of months to break it in, but now it’s the comfiest thing evah.

All I need now is the Pacific Feather Serenity pillows…CBtE is getting one of those for his birthday.

Good morning all.  Poor SN, I sure you’ll get used to that bed.  Ours is some kind of special unyielding slab that I finally got comfortable with.  Madame boran got it, I can’t remember the brand.  Now she hates it.  Go figure.

Sounds like fun, but do you get tired of the high traffic that goes along with it?

We used to live on the path of this bike race (although not The Wall, thank goodness).  It was fun as long as you knew to get your car outside the race loop the night before so you’d still be free to come and go on race day.

      • Indianadem
Indianadem on June 9, 2007 at 8:10 am

I lived in south Florida for about ten years and remember the summers, with attendant humidity,  very well. It always seemed very strange to a midwest kid to be planting garden in February. It was fun growing okra down there, its something I’ve never attempted up north.

        • Family Man
Family Man on June 9, 2007 at 8:14 am

Yep it takes awhile to get used to the heat and humidity down here.  I used to hate okra in the garden.  It’s not like you just go out and pick it.  I’m not a big okra eater except in stews or fried.  Hated it boiled.  [As he make upchucking sounds. :)]

          • Indianadem
Indianadem on June 9, 2007 at 8:23 am

I’m not a big fan either. It was more the novelty of the stuff than anything. Our neighbors used to grow lots of eggplant, so there was no need for me to bother with that.

I used to get sewage sludge from the city treatment plant to try to build up the sandy soil in the garden and found that cherry tomato and yellow summer squash seeds survive the treatment process quite nicely. There were also other little gifts that came with the sludge, like scores of swizzle sticks and cocktail umbrellas. It was like opening a Crackerjack box, in a way.

Hi Folks.  Wanted to first give an update on my situation to those who have been worried.  I am sleeping on the floor( on an air mattress) at a friend’s place and even have a job interview on Wed.  Things are going slowly but at least in the right directions.

I will be attending the Gay Pride Festival in Austin, Texas today and working as a volunteer at the John Edwards booth.  I will add that he is the only Presidential Candidate to think it was important enough to have a booth at Pride!!!

This is the shirt I will be wearing today and also again on Tuesday when I see him here in Austin.
