Good, how are you?  Beautiful day here in the Valley.  How are the boyz?

CabinGirl on July 24, 2007 at 9:09 am

We’re all good.  I’m rushing to get my work projects wrapped up this week, get my plants in (big sale at the garden center this weekend), and get everything in order to leave for the beach this weekend.

The guys are learning to entertain themselves without a computer or video games this week…we’ve seen a resurgence in playing basketball, ladder golf, and juggling devil sticks so far.  ðŸ™‚

The weather here is amazing this week!  What are you all doing?  B2boy having a nice summer?  Are you going to Chicago next week?

        • boran2
          boran2 on July 24, 2007 at 9:37 am

Everybody is good, the b2boy is enjoying summer camp.  He will hopefully pass his swimming test soon.  I’m not going to Chicago, it just fell too close to our vacation in August.  Are you going?

          • CabinGirl
CabinGirl on July 24, 2007 at 9:56 am

No, they moved it from June to my sacred August beach week, so the big orange crowd will just have to make do without my presence…I’m sure they’ll survive.

Good luck on the b2boy swim test!

            What is ladder golf?

And why are they entertaining themselves without electronics? Did you smash the TV and computer?  I feel like doing that sometimes around here…mostly because of Mr. Nature though, not the boys.

          • CabinGirl
CabinGirl on July 24, 2007 at 10:36 am

Ladder golf is a game we saw at the beach one year and came home and made for ourselves with PVC.  Although our version is taller than most because we used 21″ pipe sections (that’s the way the beach people had theirs set up).

Why no teevee?  People were being rude and obnoxious, so they lost their electronic privileges.  Plus, it’s summer, they need to go outside and play or read a book or ride a biike or something.

I could live without the teevee if not for Sunday night HBO.

Is the Nature Boy off on his adventure yet?

He leaves Friday morning and will fly to Butte, (changing planes once…eek) and then stay overnight by himself in a hotel and come back to the airport to be picked up by the OB people.  That’s the most adventurous part of his journey in my mind.

Ladder golf looks cool!  Have fun on your vacation and hope the weather is good. At least there are no looming tropical storms out there. In fact it’s been so quiet…too quiet…

Good morning all.  Late for the party because b2boy’s bus to camp was very late.  It’s a bit warmer here in the Valley today.  I’ll have to see how hot it is when I’m ready to walk.

    • CabinGirl
CabinGirl on July 25, 2007 at 10:14 am

I’m late to the party too.  Had my car serviced yesterday, and they forgot to re-connect the electrical for the air conditioning before they gave it back to me, so I was back there early this morning.

I think it’s gonna be a little warmer than we’ve gotten used to this week.

Hay, CG.  No a/c at this time of year can make for tough driving.  I usually walk at lunchtime, about noon.  Unfortunately the hottest time of the day is the most convenient.  Hopefully it will make the hiking easier in Bryce Canyon come August.
