How many of you are on Facebook? I just signed up yesterday after Susie Madrak and Alex Urevick-Ackelsberg nagged me about it at Yearly Kos. I already have 106 friends. Pretty amazing. Maybe we should set up a Booman Tribune group, but I don’t know how to do stuff like that yet.

I’m on Facebook, but I’m still not sure I get it. What’s the deal with “poking” people, anyway?

Okay, maybe I’m just tech-slow (I was one of the few, it seemed, who attended YearlyKos without a laptop under my arm), but what is the deal about Facebook? What makes it different from, say, LiveJournal? Or blogging?
I went to go take a look, but it won’t let me see anything unless I sign up, which I’m not sure I want to do yet….
Make that 107.
I would set it up for you, but I’m not too enamored on losing my anonymity to a much broader group of people.
That being said, to set a group up, click on ‘Groups’ (should be on the left under Applications) and then click ‘Create a Group’ on the upper part of the page. Rest should be self-explanatory.
I formed a group on Facebook. If folks want to join: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4200697788
