That’s a lovely photo Andi. And such well behaved doggies.
Of course, I can’t help but project Luna into that situation – and she’d be wading around getting covered in pond scum. I don’t think she’s ever gone out deep enough to swim (except for the time she stepped off the dock thinking she’d hit bottom), but she has no qualms whatsoever about walking straight into the water. It’s why I always keep towels in the trunk of my car.
Most of our walks are done back of our house, but that’s a water-body free zone (unless you count the occasional puddle). But as you get closer to Hobart the island quickly becomes all twists and turns around massive bays and estuaries. And much of the shoreline is parkland – thus the dog/water interface.
in his much younger days, he once chased a deer into the lake and they both swam across it. He got to other side and the deer kept going but he just on dry ground and collapsed.
I like this photo — looking out over the water w/ the dogs there … When did you take it? Looks like you’ve got lots of green leaves (as in not changing yet).
Right now things are either dark, dry green or already dead and brown (with a little yellow and red). Because of the drought, there won’t be much of any “fall” this year.
I put in the two about the liquer cabinet and the loud parties especially for Albert and his mice friends. We seem to be between mouse incursions at the moment, but when we do get them they have a tendency to hang out in Albert’s room. Once, I even caught one snuggled up next to him.

They’d already been in the muck and chased something over by where Jim was and were trying to figure out where it went. 🙂
Fortunately since we don’t have to use a car for our walks, drying is done al fresco.

As always, you make Tasmania sound so wonderful. (And I’m sure Luna thinks it is.)

That’s a great story. I can see it quite vividly in my mind’s eye.

Just for Second Nature.
He looks adorable!
Hi Keres and everyone.
I had to vote for George to stay out of the liquer cabinet. Everyone know what a drunk that dog can be. 🙂

At least you know Albert is good at making friends.
Dale Carnegie was actually Albert’s ghost writer. He’s especially the good at the “influencing people” part.
This Superb Fairy Wren male has finally put on his Spring finery.
I think they are about three weeks old now.
… and so absolutely cute. Now this is a picture that can give a bunny butt some competition. 🙂
