But here’s a link to the old cafe, just in case you weren’t through with it.

Have I mentioned how happy I am to be home?

who gets cranky if I don’t post bird pictures once and awhile.

What the Grey Shrike-thrush lacks in colors it more than makes up for in voice. We have a pair hanging out in the back yard at the moment.  With any luck, they’ll nest and we can listen to them all summer long.

We just finished homecoming and I have two more weeks for the class I’m taking on-line.  I haven’t stopped moving since September.  How are you?  How’s Jim’s school year?

        • AndiF
AndiF on October 11, 2007 at 9:42 pm

          • Teacher Toni
Teacher Toni on October 11, 2007 at 9:51 pm

I couldn’t do that on-line.  Instead, I’m working on Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.

I’m also involved with negotiations.  That has sucked!
I’m glad Jim’s year is going well.

  5. Second Nature
Second Nature on October 12, 2007 at 8:15 am

Last May, Boudreaux married an attractive woman, Lola, half his age.

After several months, Lola complained that she had never climaxed during sex; and according to her Grand Momma, all Cajun women are entitled to a climax
once in a while. So, to resolve the problem, they went to see the large-animal Vet since there was no trustworthy doctor anywhere in Carencro.

The Vet didn’t have a clue, but he did recall how, during the hot summer, his Momma and Daddy, would fan a cow that was having any difficulty breeding
with a big towel.  This would cool her down and make her relax.  So, the Vet told them to hire a strong, virile, young  man to wave a big towel over them
while they were having sex.  This, the Vet said, would cause the young wife to cool down, relax, then climax.   So the couple hired a strong young man
from the big city of Baton Rouge to wave that big towel over them as the Vet suggested.

After many efforts, Lola still had not climaxed!  They went back to the Vet. The Vet said for Lola to change partners and let the young man have sex with
her while Boudreaux waved the big towel.

They tried it that night and Lola went into wild, screaming, ear-splitting climaxes, one right after the other for about two and a half hours.

When it was over, Boudreaux looked down at the exhausted young man and in a cocky manner said, “And dat, my friend, is how you wave a towel!”

    • ask
ask on October 12, 2007 at 8:36 am

      LOL.

Tangential thought; there is apparently a link between towel waving and flag waving – and we all know who are best at waving flags.

G’Day every one.  Just stopped by to say Hi.  All this talk of food is making me hungry, guess I’ll have to come up with something that sounds good to eat.  Meals for one are interesting if not challenging.  In some lifetime I must have had a huge family because that seems to always be the way I cook. . .when I cook any more.

I have been enjoying a big pot of cabbage soup this week.  It is getting down to the end of it so I will have to go in another direction.  Maybe a pot roast. . .that will last me another week.  Good thing I don’t mind repeating meals, especially if they are tasty and comfort food. Ha!

Weather here is gorgeous and I was out yesterday trimming low hanging tree branches. . .you know, the ones that slap you in the face when you walk by.

Have a great day everyone.  I think of you all lots even if I don’t often have much to say these days.

          Colors – don’t know yet.
We came up late last night and it is still dark outside.

It is so dark here I made CBtY put the reflector tags on his bookbag to go out and wait for the bus, so no crazy driver will hit him.

SHAZAM it’s Friday.  See that wasn’t so hard. 🙂

I am so unimpressed with the concept of Monday this week.  Can’t it just be Friday again already?

I put the SHAZAM in the wrong place, so it might be Thursday.

          Hi, FM!
That gave me a good chuckle.

(Note to self: Do not open work e-mail account @ 6 on a Monday morning while away in the Berkshires, you risk getting sucked in).

          OK, time for a nap.

    Morning Andi and Ask.

    It’s another workday. Woo Hoo!

    I need coffee.

Good morning all.  Gotta get breakfast.  Cool and rather dreary here but at least it’s not raining.  Yet.

I’ve been up since 3 a.m for the second day in a row. I think I’m about to become a believer in siestas.

      Yuck.

I think I’m about to become a believer in eyeshades.  People keep turning lights on while I’m sleeping, and it wakes me up.  And now I’m crabby.

BTW, here’s a nice new cafe for everyone to enjoy, and thanks for the gorgeous picture you took for it.  ðŸ™‚

      Morning, Andi!
Sorry to hear that.  I was also first up around that time, but managed to sink into an almost immediate siesta of 3 hrs.
