No, it wasn’t too traumatic, but I’m hurting pretty much everywhere – some new moves at yesterday’s practice, with muscles long forgotten.

Ah man, I feel for you.  I keep telling myself, one day I’ve got to start exercising.  Just hasn’t come yet though.

Nope I’ll be eating left overs for awhile.  I’m finally out of the gorge and nap phase and show be returning to normal in a few days. 🙂

I keep telling myself, one day I’ve got to start exercising.
Which is what I did for the longest time. As I said last week, the only way
to get started was to sign up for a program.
Now, I start to look forward to each lesson and it feels great after, in spite of the exhaustion.

Yeah, I know there is a blaring inconsistency in there somewhere…

            But Andi agrees with me:
That’s actually a feeling I like — muscles that ache from exertion. It makes me want to go out and hurt so good so more.

Well I think I’ll stick with sitting on the patio watching George run around the yard.  He exercises enough for both of us.

Speaking of exercise, I woke up very early this morning and I think it’s time for the first nap of the day.

Are you all trying to tell me getting up from my computer chair and walking across the room (at least 20′) to my recliner isn’t considered exercise?

Who knew?  Week days I get lots of exercise because I get to walk 35′ out to my mail box and 35′ back.  Of course I get Sunday’s and holidays off.

Sounds as if everyone had a wonderful holiday and too much food. . .which is why we have this holiday anyway, isn’t it?

I did my turkey breast and the trimmings two weeks ago so I am at the turkey vegetable soup stage now.  Going to turn that into turkey and dumplings tomorrow.  It’s all good! But I am pretty much most fond of the turkey and dumplings, something so earthy, so nurturing about it.  Don’t know where that comes from, no one in my family ever made it, but I’ll claim it as the best of the end of things.

    ciao everyone
    Hugs

We saw one on Friday in an open area frolicking with no woods nearby.  We thought that it was coming at us but it was running and kicking up its heels, unconcerned about the traffic a few feet away.

          • Family Man
Family Man on November 26, 2007 at 9:29 am

Since it’s so heavily wooded down here, there’s always a threat of one running in front of you.  More so unfortunately during hunting season.

I wouldn’t mind seeing one in the backyard, but the only wild animals we have back there are squirrels, turtles, snakes and one possum that likes to get into the cat food.

Hi everyone.  Just a brief excursion onto the net to tell you all that we are having a great time in New Zealand.

This morning we went on a whale watching trip and saw two sperm whales, several dusky dolphins and albatross – yes, I have photos and I will post them when we get back (Dec. 3rd – late).  I’m hoping that somewhere amongst the blurry photos of blurry creatures under blurry water there are a few keepers.

We had a great time on Steward Island, again lots of photos (mostly birds) and even a sound recording or two to share when we get back.

We’re just starting to miss home, Albert, Luna, the ‘pacas, etc. – so one week to go feels about right. We’re picking up a car tomorrow for the last leg of our trip, so we’ll have a bit more freedom to “do as we please” from here on out.

    “See” you all soon.

Until a couple of months ago, I would have agreed; foods and drinks that have the good stuff removed was frowned upon. Light mayo – no taste, light beer – ush, decaf – what’s the point?

Good morning all.  Cold here but it will warm a bit later on.  Sorry about the dentist, Andi and CG.  I have to go back to mine about this one tooth that aches a bit although he could see no problem with it.  Perhaps it’s age.

Yeah, we pretty much live in the perfect place for dogs — surrounded by woods and far back from any road so they are free to roam.
