   I whined over at my blog yesterday about my alarm clock that decided to automatically shift back an hour without asking for my permission.  Needless to say, I wasn’t amused.  Don’t know how I’m going to survive morning sessions in DC at the end of the week with a three hour time difference.  I’m glad we don’t fuss with the daylight savings nonsense in AZ.  We have quite enough of it.

     My internal clock is howling in pain and confusion and misery…it seems like the time change gets harder every year.

       yes, i sent someone an email a couple of weeks ago but never got a reply  😉

       I’ll be at a training through the weekend, then here wielding a press pass and causing mischief.  (just kidding, En Es Aye!)

           hi friend!  yes, will be there on Thursday through the following Wednesday.  Are you planning any excursions in to the district?  i have a bunch of stuff to attend during the days but fairly free in the late afternoons/evenings.

       meant to write earlier that I was sorry to hear about the  inner-clock protestations.  jet lag kicks my rear end in the mornings so i can only imagine what it’s like on a regular basis without any traveling.

       The Bush Economy in the shitter, McSame has no chance to win the election, Nancy and the boys playing “fuck you” on FISA and the Bush legacy becoming more and more “worst President of all time” as each day passes.

       Bush is as lame as a lame duck can possibly be.  He’s irrelevant.  The press has moved on to McSame.  The people have moved on the to the Dems.  Wall Street is too busy holding on to the rocket death coaster.

       So with Fallon gone, what’s the easiest way for a compulsive addict personality like Dubya to make sure the press, the people, and Wall Street get back in line and he goes out on top instead of Mr. Nineteen Percent?

       Go on, guess.

   Sinbad Unloads on Hillary Clinton

   Finally, the Barack Obama campaign has found a big gun to help shoot down Hillary Rodham Clinton’s self-proclaimed foreign policy experience. And he may be the wackiest gun of all: Sinbad, the actor, who has come out from under a rock to defend Obama in the war over foreign policy credentials.

   Sinbad, along with singer Sheryl Crow, was on that 1996 trip to Bosnia that Clinton has described as a harrowing international experience that makes her tested and ready to answer a 3 a.m. phone call at the White House on day one, a claim for which she’s taking much grief on the campaign trail.[.]
   In an interview with the Sleuth Monday, he said the “scariest” part of the trip was wondering where he’d eat next. “I think the only ‘red-phone’ moment was: ‘Do we eat here or at the next place.'”

   Clinton, during a late December campaign appearance in Iowa, described a hair-raising corkscrew landing in war-torn Bosnia, a trip she took with her then-teenage daughter, Chelsea. “They said there might be sniper fire,” Clinton said.
   Threat of bullets? Sinbad doesn’t remember that, either.

   “I never felt that I was in a dangerous position. I never felt being in a sense of peril, or ‘Oh, God, I hope I’m going to be OK when I get out of this helicopter or when I get out of his tank.'”

   In her Iowa stump speech, Clinton also said, “We used to say in the White House that if a place is too dangerous, too small or too poor, send the First Lady.”

   Say what? As Sinbad put it: “What kind of president would say, ‘Hey, man, I can’t go ’cause I might get shot so I’m going to send my wife…oh, and take a guitar player and a comedian with you.'”

   As you may have guessed by now, Sinbad isn’t supporting Clinton for president. He’s an Obama guy. All because of Clinton.

   “What got me about Hillary was her attitude of entitlement, like he messed up her plan, like he had no reason to be there,” Sinbad said. “I got angry. I actually got angry! I said, ‘I will be for Obama like never before.'”

   Yes, I was surprisingly thrown off badly by it.  Normally the time changes don’t affect me that much, even back when I was flying back and forth from London.

   Nope. I was up at 5am Sunday (make that 4am) to finish some unfinished work. Ugh!

   Hey – GOOD NEWS. For the first time in this entire election, Obama is outpolling Hillary Clinton in RealClearPolitics’ poll average. See the chart here:

   I do a lot of radio work which is all done in GMT, which doesn’t change for seasons. During the winter GMT is Seattle time +8 hours, which is a lot easier for me to remember than GMT +7 which it is during the summer.

   It’s a good thing I have computers that understand DST and know when to change over. Otherwise I’d constantly be thrown off every year when the time changes. Personally I wish we would never go on DST, but that might just be me.

    This Daylight Saving farce is just another case of the American people falling for false packaging.

    Congress basically made a law that everybody has to go to bed an hour earlier.  But instead of saying that, they (absurdly) say, “Look! You are getting an extra hour of daylight.”  And we, fools we are, fall for it every year.

    My body must think we “fell back”.  Last night, I was trying to fall asleep at my computer and it was barely 10pm.  I had even slept in and took a nap.  My kids, on the other hand are driving me batshit. They wake up at 5am and won’t go to sleep until 11pm and they refuse to take naps.
