It looks like the Dems might be winning a stunning upset in Mississippi.
MSNBC, FOX, and CNN have called it for Clinton. Based on the available data, I would not call it.

Well, they have more data than we have…
Depressing. But to be expected. Dang. So the Hillary Clinton campaign deathwatch continues.
Dead campaign walking.
Yeah more like a zombie campaign. LOL
The data they have is exit polls and we all no how FUBAR they are.
Don’t be depressed. Just be amazed like I am that some people could be so stupid.
Chuck Todd was saying she still can’t win.
As NBC’s Chuck Todd points out tonight, Clinton’s chances of winning the nomination based on pledged delegates is effectively over tonight.
If Obama keeps his pledged delegate lead to around 150, Clinton needs to win 70% of them on May 6 — and if not, 80% of them after May 6.
That’s more than next to impossible.
Do be prepared for this to become very nasty.
I fear the party insiders who have banked heavily on her winning. That’s what I fear. Superdelegate disaster…. Oh please, let this all end decisively next week. Please God don’t let her wreak havoc all the way to the convention.
Obama did well considering he came from 20-points behind; Had bin Laden thrown at him; up against Ed Rendell and majority of Democratic PA machine, refused to pay street money.
(via Kos) As the NY Times editorial board -they endorsed Hillary – writes
this was
So let’s be proud. Hillary can’t hold her head up. Neither can Bill. Obama will be the next President of the U.S. of A.

Thanks for the link… although I wish they’d written these 3 days ago!
Don’t be depressed. He is ROUTING her ass in Philly County and the suburbs haven’t even come in yet.
He is at 65% in Philly.
Any news on how the 16th CD is going ??
I believe that’s a good part of Lancaster, right? Nothing in yet.
Everything today has looked good except for the actual results.
Is saying that Clinton has to win 80% of the remaining delegates to win. What’s the margin she’d have to win in the remaining states to get that?
Obama up 56-44 in Philadelphia county with 38% reporting
not enough, he needs 69% in Philly area.
And rising rapidly. Now 58-42% with 44% in.
21% reporting
C 54
O 46
this 54-46 stat may be the final outcome. Some pollsters will have egg on face.
It’s hard for me to watch other states’ returns. Unless you have a good idea of the various regions and of the precincts in a city – it’s hard to really follow with any depth of understanding.
So the percentages that are in mean very little. At least to me.
I feel like there isn’t much in from the surrounding areas of Philly and Penn state.
My feet hurt.
Chuck just said the same thing. You should be on teevee. 🙂
Your poor feet. You need a cosmo and a footrub.
Here’s half:
Thanks! I’m in bed with laptop and a glass of wine, far enough away from the stupidity of the cable teevee to prevent my head from exploding.
I wish the chester county results were in.
37 of 224 precincts reporting. They are starting to dribble in.
Boy do I need that right now!!
56-44 in Alleghany for Hillary with 45% reporting
Things a little slow here tonight. Any news anywhere?
Im Westen nichts neues.
When I called an outer area in PA, one woman asked me THREE TIMES, are you SURE he’s not a Muslim? It didn’t matter what I said. She just wouldn’t believe it.
I just think that’s so awful, that one Christian can’t even recognize a fellow Christian because of the color of his skin. Shocking.
Take a lesson: Propaganda works excellently well.
But how do you do reverse propaganda???
Even better propaganda.
Looks like it’s going to narrow a bit, according to Chuck Todd and my read of the map. The Philly suburbs haven’t reported. How many votes are we looking for there?
I read the map differently. She’s still half way through in a lot of small counties which are only halfway in, and so far the philly burbs have been slightly pro-Hillary
I’m bracing myself for a double digit loss
excuse me…i meant to say shes up 2-1 and 3-1 in a lot of counties that are only halfway in
8% is a significant victory. Obama can’t win a battleground state. Blah blah blah blah blah freakin’ blah.
Hillary’s spin has been good tonight. All of her surrogates have been fantastically annoying.
Seeing Obama was 20% percent down a few weeks ago, I find it stunning Hillary lost so much ground. What Hillary faces in trying to wing 80% remaining delegates in order to surpass Obama..90% if she loses Oregon.
Sounds like a win for the old Pennsylvania political machine to me. There were reports on Daily Kos of entire districts in Obama-friendly areas getting blatantly wrong polling place locations – parks, construction sites and the like.
I saw that. I hope the Obama campaign (or somebody) put up signs or placed volunteers, or both, at the incorrect places to direct people to the proper polling place.
Hell with that, there damn well better be an investigation and jail time for whoever created and cleared deliberately misleading voter information fliers. They were apparently the official ones, so it should be quite easy to track.
That’s what political machines do – control elections.
shrug
Yes, well, hopefully in a few months, what political machines do will be “go to jail”.
they’re just being cruel to me by not reporting Chester County. One of two counties statewide with no results in.
Identity politics is the theme of this speech
sigh
I am really, really trying not to dislike her. But it’s haaaaaaarrrrrrrddd 🙁
she is widening the polarization of the party with the rhetoric
Truthfully, she seems to just be walking through this speech. Like she isn’t really into it.
Good to get the speech over with before the final margin is determined.
i think her delivery is fine, but the content is grating. I will say that the campaign people knew what they were doing by putting someone with boxing gloves behind her shoulder.
I am so glad you are watching it so I don’t have to!
the liquor helps 😉
Thanks for doing all the GOTV stuff this week. Regardless of the outcome, having the presence of people in the neighborhoods to engage voters is what will ultimately stop the nightmare.
I guess I just need another beverage before i can even think about listening…
I really enjoyed the whole GOTV thing, exhaustion tonight notwithstanding.
turned off the TV when she came on…no enough liquor to make her sound good.
She’s done. 🙂
I just muted the TV and put on a CD a couple of friends of mine just released. I’d heard it before, but it’s a good CD (and certainly better than listening to her speech).
Doesn’t this feel like “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf 2008?”
Hillary and Bill and their nut case surrogates as Martha and George and us Obama supporters and the sane wing of the democratic party as Nicky and Honey?
This is so depressing.
I’m not watching, I’m only listening. So the tone seems to me more like a concession speech. Not the content but her tone of voice.
I’ll say it here, because I can’t say it out loud at work.
I HATE HER. I have hated very few people in my life, but I HATE HER. She is a lying disaster. She has no integrity at all. She’ll literally say or do anything to get elected. Show me any stance she’s ever taken against opposition, sans a nuance on her healthcare plan. Show me a war she’s ever refused to enter.
I HATE HER.
I WANT HER TO GO AWAY. LEAVE OUR COUNTRY. PLEASE.
Clinton’s argument is that Obama can’t win the swing states?
I don’t normally say this, but that’s a bullshit argument. Take a look at this map that as of this morning shows Obama beating McCain in Pennsylvania, and in enough other places across the country to give him the win, where the election held today (and were the polls to be trusted).
And some of those red-bordered states (weak GOP) . . . I don’t think that after all is said and done that they’ll all be in McCain’s column by the time this is over. (And yes, I realize this is flawed. Massachusetts “weak Democratic”? Gimme a break.)
It’s a bullshit argument but it’s the only one she has. It’s all spin with Hillary anyway. Say it enough and everyone will believe it.
Obama won Missiouri, she didn’t.
This is like listening to a bad infomercial. What is she even talking about? How is Obama spending money that he raised in a primary, half from small donoros, while she blew all of her big donor’s money on Super Tuesday, a bad thing towards him? The pundits seem to be repeating this line over and over that he outspent her but still could not win.
I love she thanked her staff as I wonder how many of them will be getting pay checks next week.
ps. Oh, the Flyers just beat my Caps in a game 7. Not a big fan of PA right now.
Don’t worry. She’ll get them all jobs after she’s elected. There are plenty of janitor openings at the White House.
Chester Co. is now the last and only county in the state with no results.
According to the Inquirer web site Potter County hasn’t reported yet, but that 0-0 result could just be because nobody lives there. 🙂
Gosh, BooMan, what did you do to those guys? Some people just got no respect!
How much is in from the other burbs? Is Bucks still stuck at 6% or 13% (whatever it was)? Seems if he’s up to 65% in Philly, the gap should’ve closed a bit.
philly.com is reporting that so far Hillary is ahead by . . .
wait for it . . .
a whopping four delegates.
That, my friends, is not a win for her.
Still no #’s out of Chester… What’s up with that?
Gaaaaah . . . the AP is picking up the language of the Clinton campaign.
Clinton *grinds out victory* over Obama in Pennsylvania
By DAVID ESPO AND BETH FOUHY
ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITERS
PHILADELPHIA — Hillary Rodham Clinton ground out a gritty victory in the Pennsylvania primary Tuesday night, defeating Barack Obama and staving off elimination in their historic race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Even worse; ABC’s headline just seconds ago: “Can Hillary Clinton’s big win in Pennsylvania today change the race?”
(Paraphrased, but fairly precise, I think.)
I just barfed up a little.
But wait . . . this is the network whose theme song is “M-I-C, K-E-Y, G-O-P-T-V”, right? Never mind.
That’s ABCIA for you.
