West Virginia it ain’t. An estimated 75,000 people showed up to see Barack Obama in Portland, Oregon today.

Awesome! It filled my eyes with tears even though I was laughing at the sheer joy of it!
Fabulous beyond amazing!!
here’s another pic and a great first-hand account
Totally awesome and amazing! Brought tears to my eyes, too. This is important. Makes me so proud.
Hot Damn!!!!
I watch and excerpt of the speech on CNN’s Ballot Bowl and they never indicated or showed the size of the crowd.
Yeah, I saw that too.
But oh, the media is propping him up, say the Hillbloggers. Uh-huh.
Now CNN is updating, they’ve got the crowd at 50,000. sigh NYT has more pictures as well and they’re calling the crowd at 75,000. Obama’s last record was 35,000 in PA.
Wall Street Journal still says 75,000. Just, wow.
what ya think, Or. for Obama! simply awesome
Note to the superdel’s still on the sidelines…Americans want this man to be their president.
While sexism is a problem, take a look at the comments section at the Washington Post.
That is disheartening.
Fear will do that to those types.
I guaran-damn-tee you that 98% of those folks barely have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of, but by God…they’re white. And their president could be Black.
Oh no! 🙂 He’s gonna enslave you!!! Run! Run for your lives!!! Bwahahahahaha!!!!!
And they say liberals have “white guilt”? Heh. That response only comes from someone who knows they are wrong and fears the day that the Lord is merciful. It’s actually kind of funny.
So we’ll have to work harder than we’ve ever worked before. Nothing is guaranteed. But you best believe I am guaranteed to try!
Daaayummmmm! That’s a lot of folks!
I heard about it on the NBC nightly news this evening. My God, I’ve never seen anything like this!
How sad that there’s not a hardworking white, blue collar person in the audience.
Yep, just look at all those latte-sipping, Prius-driving black folks.
Wow. Just wow.
Dude. Come on. That is SO obviously Photoshopped to look like there were lots of people there. 😉
This reminds me, too, of one of those things that niggle at me–why is it that OUR events always bring out incredible crowds, and theirs have to have suckers bussed in? Y’think maybe “we’ve got the numbers”?
Nah. Couldn’t be. The media wouldn’t try to step on something like that, so as to make us think we’re weak, would they? Course not.
Looks like the stadium from a Dead show!
The people there were first-hand participants in history.
ROTFL.. It does, doesn’t it?
That was my first thought too.
(OT, but it’s finally sunny enough here to take pictures for knit-a-paloza, so I’m thinking I’ll post one late this afternoon.)
It looks like Woodstock. There I am! Ten rows back, about four hundred and fifty from the right…
Gotta loved that they’ve tagged his jet Dem Force One!
