Veepstakes:
Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., makes a few more enemies among his friends in the Democratic caucus. “I’m going to make a provocative statement: in many ways I think John McCain on Foreign Policy is closer to where Al Gore and I were in 2000, then Barack Obama is,” Lieberman tells ABC’s Jake Tapper. “It’s one thing to say where you are on a policy and give a good speech, but McCain as president will actually get something done.”
(Does Gore agree?)
Does anyone?
ya know I’m wishing Lieberman is selected for the VP slot. He was a lousy VP candidate, a lousy campaigner. The two present a good photo – two war mongers spending dollars to keep a war going, dollars we need at home to rescue an economy spiraling into the Greater Depression.
He’ll lose at becoming VP, twice.
and for two different parties.
I say bring it on, I’d love to see Dronin’ Joe as VP candidate. I’ll bet he loses his own state.
After Nov. sure as hell hope we won’t need his sorry be-hind to form our “Majority” in the Senate.
We wont.
He really seems to be daring the Dems to do anything about him. Is it just the peevishness of an old fanatic, or is he trying to polish up his creds with the GOP in hopes they’ll rescue him next time he as to run?
Oh, McCain would get stuff done, all right, if that’s what you’re asking. A war here, a war there . . . . completing the bankrupting of the middle class at home without being able to carry on a coherent conversation. I’m sure he’d get stuff done.
Joe’s betrayed all his friends, its kinda of hard to trust him after that. My foreign policy idea is why don’t we stop funding Israel until they make peace with their neighbors. Kinda “tough love” for a Country that can’t find the road to peace with a carrot.
