   Well, I don’t know; rather per the email arriving in my inbox last night forwarded by R friends, warns that Iran is the true homebase of AQ and we should support Bush when he says we must wipe it off the face of the planet.
   May have to acknowledge a new level of low information. These are people who don’t even know that there is such a thing as a a Sunni or a Shi’ite, but they vote.

     Yes, those are the people to whom he is talking, but they seem an ever dwindling echo chamber to me.

       Actually the fact that they sent me the email which was written by a bogus blowhard, but was delving into why we went into Iraq is a giant step for these folks who FINALLY are starting to wonder what’s going on. They’re still sure that it’s the treehuggers’ fault somehow.

       Hardly a dwindling echo chamber. With hundreds of cable channels and the internet, Americans remain largely uninformed or falsely informed.

       Steve Benen, Carpetbagger Report finds willful ignorance on the part of the populace.  Joe Lieberman knows this and doesn’t care if he perpetuates the falsehoods.

   Joe Lieberman is just a pawn of Israel. It appears he has forgotten that its Americans dying in Iraq.

   And after the November elections, Joe Lieberman will be kicked to the curb.

   politics rules. lieberman is still accepted as a dem.
   so, until the ethical structure of the dem party changes, lieberman will find a safe harbour with the dems.
   sad but true.

     They will boot him from the caucus if they win a majority in the Senate this Fall.

     If the Dems need him to keep a majority they will.

     If the Republicans by some miracle regain control of the Senate Lieberman will caucus with them.

     My money is on the first scenario.

   And unfortunately I believe this guy is the rule rather than the exception here in Ohio.

But on the Internet, in his grocery store, at his neighbor’s house, at his son’s auto shop, Peterman has also absorbed another version of the Democratic candidate’s background, one that is entirely false: Barack Obama, born in Africa, is a possibly gay Muslim racist who refuses to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

   “It’s like you’re hearing about two different men with nothing in common,” Peterman said. “It makes it impossible to figure out what’s true, or what you can believe.”

   Literally, this guy represents almost everyone I know.

   Everyone.

   So yes, Americans are that stupid.
