Sounds like Uncle Teddy may show up in Denver.  That’d be fantastic.

Democray isn’t pretty sometimes. Situations like that and responses like that are always easy to sell to the public as fringe. But so many are angry at the republicans for starting the war and the democrats for refusing to do anything to stop it, and it shows.

    Good for them.

Why would anyone with half a brain want to speak to Fox News?  Or identify themselves so that Michelle Malkin or some other violent pot stirring vidiot could find their address and post it on the internet for any wingnut crazy to use to harass and intimidate (or worse, possibly) them?

        Right…I agree.
But it’s a no win situation with the press.

See my post above. The protest was much smaller than Fox made it out to be. I know; I was there. (Gee: Fox News? Lying in order to paint “leftists” as fanatics? Who’d have guessed?) The local Denver media hype was just as bad.

lot’s of hype…little attendance, and a few minor confrontations. more media than protesters, as one of the people l heard from this evening said.

l guess when faux…aka: the media…tries to become the story, there’s not much there.

          via thinkprogress:

…Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins waded into the Re-create `68 protest outside the Democratic National Convention in Denver, where he was greeted with expletives as he antagonized the crowd… On Fox and Friends today, host Brian Kilmeade acknowledged that Jenkins was intentionally instigating the crowd.

At the end of the segment, Kilmeade signed off by saying that Fox was “going to continue to send” Jenkins “out to cause trouble.” “I hope so,” responded Jenkins.

Manufacturing news is classic yellow journalism.

talk about creating news where there isn’t any..Fox News.
contrived reporting from Fox. Ever notice that everything is “Breaking News” on Fox, and new News is an “Alert”.

but i now know what FFN stands for .

YouTube Video – McCain on the wrong side of history

DENVER, COLORADO (AFP) – John McCain’s campaign has hit back at Madonna after the pop diva kicked off her world tour with a concert that bracketed the US presidential candidate with Adolf Hitler.

Madonna’s apparent swipe at McCain came during a performance of the song “Get Stupid”, when the Republican contender’s image was flashed up alongside images of destruction and global warming as well as Hitler and Mugabe.

Towards the end of the song, pictures of Beatles star John Lennon, former US vice-president Al Gore, Indian Mahatma Gandhi and McCain’s Democrat rival Barack Obama appeared.

"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."

Hey, that Fox News reporter (Jenkins) where was his Nazi armband?  The signs they were carrying told us where the marchers were coming from.  Ergo, the Fox News people should have been equally informative and employed their corporate logo – the swastika.

God, we’ve had bigger turnouts in Syracuse for our antiwar activities.

…as he ranted “Do you believe in free speech?” in the middle of a demonstration of people practicing free speech.

After that stellar performance, I hope Griff’s next assignment is to be embedded in Iraq.  I wonder how he would handle the stress there.
