It’s pathetic but I’ve had the week from hell and it comes down to a football game to catch a smile, and my team didn’t disappoint me. Looks like a new era for Big Blue.

Eli and Plaxico are working like a fine Swiss timepiece. Plax had a head of steam up on that drive. They all did. Bruisers.
Another catch. They are unstoppable.
Eli Manning has really stepped up. And to think in the middle of last season I said he didn’t have the personality to ever lead his team to a SB.
But it could be 21 to zip, so they were stopped. I don’t like blowouts. I want to see Washington make a game of it.

Unfortunaely there’s a Washington fan in my house. Has been for over twenty years. So I don’t get to enjoy a blowout properly.

Of course, nothing delighted me more last season than seeing Notre Dame eat grass every Saturday. Yes, I know that’s college ball. I also know there was really no segue.

I hate the Redskins (and I live in DC), but I hate football too. Still I don’t want to touch the Republican convention.

You know, I grew up a Washington football fan. It was deemed the “local” NFL team when I was growing up in Virginia (and clearly dating myself…this was before NC finally got a franchise).
But now that I live in the area? Sheesh. They kinda get on my nerves. I like individual players, but as a team…I dunno. Maybe I just don’t like the press coverage. I don’t know what it is, but I just get annoyed.
I’m gonna jump off the tubes momentarily and see if I can find “Animal Cops” on Animal Planet. With our two cats and my brother and SIL’s dog, I’ve caught a case of being one of “those” animal people.
I will root against the Washington football team until they change the team mascot. My suggestion is “The Washington Palefaces” but I’ll not hold my breath waiting…

Did anyone see the tribute to the victims of 9/11? I missed it and Olbermann just made an emotional apology for showing it and said if any network had shown that much they would have rightly been eviscerated for exploiting the dead.
That was a disgusting stunt and pathetic scare tactic. Olbermann gets major props for denouncing it.

This will settle out over the next few days as the Convention disappears in voter’s rear view mirrors, but it certainly tilted the narrative. And now with the media running scared from the McCain campaign’s lashing, is there any realistic chance that they will suck it up and do their jobs?
And the McCain campaign thinks the voter’s don’t need to see Palin answering no stinking questions from those liberal media tabloid whoremongers. Jake Carney at Time says the campaign will tell them everything they need to know.
Well, corporate media. The gauntlet has been thrown at your feet.

Well, I think she’s an asset to McCain’s campaign too, but that doesn’t mean I support it.
Thanks Sarah Palin. Last night, on my blog, I mentioned that Palin enegerized the Democrats with her petty and catty speech. This morning, I posted a comment here that Micah Sifry said Obama should be able to raise $10M today. I doubted that number.

I thought that was code pink. You know, Obama would have welcomed the protest (just as he did the Hillary supporter who disrupted the rally in SIoux Falls) – instead McDouche belittled her. Of course.
