   Note also the CNN poll that shows that two-thirds of American voters find the GOP either partially or totally to blame for the economic disaster we’re in now.  Nearly half find the GOP to be the sole culprit.

   This is a winning issue for the Dems and Obama.  They need to hit hard hard hard hard and stop this idoitc bailout without a real solution to the problem.

   Agree about the generals. BTW – Where is Wes Clark? People know him and he has credibility. Has Obama dismissed him because he supported Hillary?

   Even more important, Obama needs to go after McCain on his legislative record on veterans issues and compare it with his own. McCain’s gotten a pass here because of his egregious habit of selling himself as a POW/war hero and no one seems to notice that his support of veterans’ issues has been abysmal. Given half a chance he’d even privatize the VA (more “vouchers”). Having worked for 30+ years as a VA psychologist, I can state with some authority that this would be a disaster.

   Suspect addressing the veterans issues aggressively and having Biden (given his legislative history) go after McCain on women’s issues (and not just abortion) would help significantly.

     Either Webb has aspirations of his own that he doesn’t want tied to Obama, or there are skeletons no one wants around the campaign. Or maybe Webb is CIA and they’re very leery of Obama. The most searches on Google for “Obama” still come from the Langley area…

   I just got a tax increase, via a via W, with oil going up $25 Dollars in 1 day. W has declared war on the middle class, no bail-out, let them all go bankrupt.

   How do you hurt rich people, make them poor.

   It’s 49-46 among Likely Voters.  I don’t think LV models are a good way to do it, personally.  It’s 50-44 among Registered Voters.

     With the Obama campaign registration drive Likely Voter screens predicated on 2000 and 2004 have a high probability of under counting the Democratic voter pool.
